Sandstone Point Hotel
Sandstone Point Hotel, just a short drive north from Brisbane, offers a beautiful location at which to enjoy contemporary, globally-inspired meals with something delicious for every type of taste. The chargrilled garlic prawn skewers with lemon mayonnaise and the slow-cooked chili pork belly with shaved apple and watercress make sharable and taste bud-warming starters. More casual fare, such as the Point slider plate with a barbecue pulled pork, barbecue chicken, beef with horseradish mayo and brie and avocado sliders and the spiced lamb pizza with cucumber, mint and spinach yogurt, are also popular.
Sandstone Point Hotel also has a full kids' menu, making it an excellent dining choice for the whole family.

We had a nice lunch at Sandstone Point Hotel ... good food, a great view, good service. It was abit confusing when entering, we had trouble finding where to go, but it is a lovely place.
We hade a lovely dinner. The staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was very relaxing.
Place was full but food came out quite quickly and was extremely delicious
Overall a good day out
Trying to find table and getting help was slow
No one cleared our table after eating so put plates on table next to us for more room
Good venue and faculty over looking the water and lawn area
We had a very nice meal but when we asked to sit in the area where the big doors weren’t open the staff member that was showing us to our table took us to that area but we felt she had a bit of attitude about.
Lovely spot for lunch with a great view even from inside the restaurant.
Lunch took a little while to arrive (which was a bit unexpected on a Wednesday lunchtime) but was hot and tasty when it did.
Staff were friendly and informative as it was our first visit.
Lovely evening atmosphere
Hoping to go back for lunch soon 😃
I was very disappointed my son got accused of throwing rocks on the playground and was banned from the play area. When we were told the news my husband and I both yelled and grounded our son and told him how upset and disappointed we were in him and he was telling us it wasn’t him, we called our son a lier and told him that he was seen and on camera doing it, the security guard said he was going to review and let us know the outcome. We herd nothing while our son cried the whole way through dinner and we ended up having to go and ask if the CCTV confirmed if it was our son and we were told that it wasn’t our son at all and that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. After we already ruined our night and our 6year old sons night and my birthday dinner we never even got an apology from anyone in regards to what had happened. I’m very disappointed in the hotel and I’ve also told a lot of friends with children to not go there Incase their child is accused of something similar. Very upsetting night and time for me my family and my birthday dinner.
Great food - staff friendly- quick with orders- great atmosphere
We have been over many times but the last twice was excellent with food with your new menu. Will be back again. You have wonderful staff.
Amazing location and great to have the option to continue to enjoy the view outside under umbrellas after your meal.
Great food...2 hours was not quite long enough to catch up, order and eat...but we found another table so all good 😊
I did not like that your bar staff tried to service me a beer that was half from the end of the keg and topped it up from a new keg
I ate the stuffed chicken breast and thoroughly enjoyed it! Would be happy to eat that every day of the week!
We had a lovely lunch here. I had the garlic scallops with the apple and fennel salad it was lovely. My husband had the Tempura Bug Sliders. He said it was nice except the brioche buns were very sweet. My only complaint is it was a very windy day and they had all the doors open so it was windy and cold inside.
Service ok friendly staff. Steak sandwich tough and cold chips. Very few lactose free options in fact staff didn't really know what that was. Chicken Caesar lacked cos lettuce. $4.00 for a glass of soda water when it's free at most pubs.
When asked about the meal and gave our negative feedback to the waitress she just walked off
The bar was understaffed and the wait was 15 - 20 mins. A long wait on the food and the quality was terrible for the price.
Great day out, meals were all fantastic, staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely return again.
Great food, great service, great location! A lovely time 😊
The food was very nice, service was friendly and prompt, the view was spectacular
Great food, children catered for excellently as no long wait time.
The customer service was excellent 👍 with a big thank you to Rhianna for her table service and accomodating us out of the wind tunnel onto another table, without fuss or disruption - Well Done young lady 👏👏👏👏👏 We will dine there again on not so windy day 😁
Fantastically accomodating for children with great play area and animal petting facility.
Great family dining ! Highly recommend 👍
I booked on line and specifically booked for a table outside. On arrival was told all tables full so placed in corner very noisy. We could see outside there were two tables vacant and were so, the whole time we were having our lunch. Yet before me 6 people who hadn't booked just walk ins were given a table outside. I feel the service staff could of come to us and said there is one of two tables available outside. We love having lunch there and on previous occasions always been accommodated. I have a immune system problem so I try to ask for outside. Inside was packed no 1 and half metre distancing. I feel if you go to the trouble of booking online or over the phone your preference should override persons walking in. I felt the staff were not efficient as previous occasions. maybe needs a supervisor to oversee the staff and be aware of peoples bookings, the staff at the entrance were told by myself what we required yet choose not to pursue.
I ordered the lamb kebab from the main menu, which I have ordered in the past.
This time it was not served in kebab form, separate pieces on a skewer.
It was a piece of braised lamb in one piece, slightly fatty. Not at all what I ordered.
The restaurant was very noisy and chaotic. Have been there for coffee before and always seems understaffed. Food sounded exotic on the menu but was not when presented. Was glad to get out of there. Would not return in a hurry!
We had requested an outside table 1 week in advance but were given an inside table near the window as an ok compromise. We ordered the special pizza - Salami & Cherry Tomato, chips and calamari. Chips great though a little pricey at $8, calamari was very tender and we'd order again. However the pizza wasnt good. It came with maybe 10 small pieces of salami and maybe 15 tomato halves. A little bit cheap on toppings for $20 we thought.
Staff are friendly and helpful. The meals were amazing so we ate there three nights in a row when we stayed at the Big 4 next door. Great holiday and the live music on Sunday on the grass was perfect for us and the kids.
We entertained guests from Bundaberg and we wanted to take them somewhere nice. We thought of Sandstone Point Hotel because we’ve always had exceptional lunches there and we wanted to give dinner a go.
We certainly were not disappointed. From the friendly welcome to the service given, we were impressed. Then our food order came out. We were very impressed by the quantity, flavour and standard of cooking. Our steaks were done to perfection....mine rare and the other med/wd and were really juicy and tender. The men of our party had the Thai green seafood curry with coconut jasmine rice and was to die for.
All in all we were extremely happy with everything.
Great venue and food was awesome. It was a busy lunchtime and just a tad noisy inside for my elderly companions but I enjoyed the activity
Our first visit and very impressed. Like the setting, the menu and pleasant staff.
Expect us back in the near future.
Sandstone Point Hotel is a lovely venue for drinks, coffee or a meal. We enjoyed a drink followed by a yummy lunch in the restaurant with a relaxing coffee on the lawn afterwards to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary!! The hotel is beautifully appointed and a perfect spot for everyone including families. We would highly recommend it.
Excellent venue. Staff friendly and helpful. A great night out.
You need to do something about the Ibis walking over tables scrounging food - health hazard
Food was great
My husband and I went for dinner for our wedding anniversary after getting married there last year. It was exactly what we hoped for. The food was amazing, there’s a spot for the kids to play and the service is always good. Hopefully we will be back next year again.
Great atmosphere great food.......................
Wonderful venue overlooking the water. The food was delicious and there are so many different areas to relax with a drink. Highly recommend.
Alright food and good service.
But expensive for what it is
Food was excellent value for the money. The salad that came with the meal was very good, not just a few lettuce leaves and a slice of tomato.
