Modern Australian

Sandstone Point Hotel, just a short drive north from Brisbane, offers a beautiful location at which to enjoy contemporary, globally-inspired meals with something delicious for every type of taste. The chargrilled garlic prawn skewers with lemon mayonnaise and the slow-cooked chili pork belly with shaved apple and watercress make sharable and taste bud-warming starters. Some of Sandstone Point Hotel Ôs specialty mains include the grilled chicken supreme wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with creamy brie, the angus striploin steak slathered in creamy garlic sauce and the sand crab and scallop mousse lasagna. More casual fare, such as the Point slider plate with a barbecue pulled pork, barbecue chicken, beef with horseradish mayo and brie and avocado sliders and the spiced lamb pizza with cucumber, mint and spinach yogurt, are also popular.

Sandstone Point Hotel also has a full kids' menu, making it an excellent dining choice for the whole family.

Our table was in the best place to receive the breezes and we were very thankful for that. We had a lovely lunch and may go again. The hotel is a little bit difficult to find as the signage is very sparse. A couple of people in our group ended up over the bridge because there was no distinct HOTEL sign.

Our first part of the afternoon was in the sportsman’s bar where we were unable to find an actually clean table I had to ask the staff behind the bar for a towel to wipe our table. Once I was actually served after a number of others who walked up after I was standing at the bar were served I was satisfied with the service . Ok nice wwe decided on what we would have liked to order I stood for over 7 minutes whilst a staff member fiddled with something at the till not even acknowledging my presence.. this I was quite offended with!

Didn’t like self service and for that price, it should have wait staff and table service. Other than that the food was fantastic. We are vegans and they had wonderful options. Risotto was amazing. Will return.

Great spot, with a great view overlooking the passage to Bribe Island. Friendly staff, quick service and good food with generous serves. The venue is really well done with it's themed areas. We enjoyed our lunch there and will be back with friends.

Sandstone Point Hotel has a lovely relaxed vibe about it. The four of us enjoyed our meals. However I did find it a little bit pricey for lunch at a hotel. For that reason and being a pensioner, I probably wouldn’t dine there as often as I would like. Even the ‘specials’ weren’t cheap.

The staff need to be mindful that even if they're having a bad day, it should not influence the way in which they treat the customers. The person at the register made you feel quite unwelcome which was disappointing and affected the overall enjoyment of our lunch there. A smile never goes astray.

The service by staff excellent, the food is original and fresh. Does not taste like Pub or Club Food. Haas a great menu.

The hotel is an excellent spot to have lunch or dinner. There is a wide variety of eating areas and the decor is delightful. It is an ideal place for coffee, a meal or a catch up with friends.

We loved visiting the restaurant and exploring the surrounding venue. The only let-down was the meals I had- the cheesy focaccia entree was very burnt on the bottom, only one or two pieces were edible, the rest was overcooked. My steak was overcooked too- it was supposed to be a medium rib fillet, but was very blacked, tasted like nothing but charcoal, and was extremely grisly. And there wasn’t very much sauce on the steak, so the flavour couldn’t even be disguised by that. The vegetables were meant to come with a garlicky butter dressing I think- but they were very dry, no butter was added. So fairly disappointing for an expensive meal that should be simple to do well.

Fantastic day out with the family. Our children were kept busy for the whole afternoon which allowed us to relax! The food was spot on - large, tasty servings and reasonably priced.

We eat at SPH regularly and always enjoy our meals. The staff are friendly and efficient and easy to deal with. If there is one negative the meals are a bit pricey but nothing too outlandish. The view from the venue is second to none and is worth the visit on its own. A great venue.
