We arrived at 11am and were the first people there. So many empty tables outside and the manager gave us the worst table. It was a windy day and he gave us table #1 and told us it's the only table available. Mind you I booked 2 months in advance and had requested for a nice sunny table. Food was amazing, 5 stars to the staffs in the kitchen. Our dining experience here took 1hr so the food came out very quickly. When we left all tables outside were still empty. I don't understand why he couldn't give us 4 a nice warm table to enjoy our meal. First time here and won't be back in a hurry.
Heater for table broken lucky it wasn’t too cold but there was a slight breeze, no footy on any tvs in the place, service at counter extremely slow i know you probably need to stagger orders but people shouldn’t wait in line for 20 mins to order, food was pretty good though
After being regular customers for a long time and being very happy for a long time suddenly the food became very disappointing. So we stopped going for a few months. Finally decided to give it another go and are impressed the food has improved to the standard it used to be. Keep it up and we will be regulars again
In current COVID restrictions, they were very good. They were quickly onto anyone doing the wrong thing.
Great place for a group or families with children. The meals are generous and beautifully presented. We have eaten at the Samford Hotel before and meals have arrived promptly - unfortunately last Sunday we waited an hour for our lunch. Overall would highly recommend it as it has a lovely county feel and there is lots of atmosphere around the village.
Food was delicious, and well presented, relatively small but diverse menu, no problems for 5 of us to each find what we wanted, including GF.
Staff were friendly, and had the best systems for managing Coivd we've experienced
Beautiful pub, great food! Perfect for an afternoon drive!
Samford hotel is still a great local place to eat and drink. Very friendly staff and several different areas to suit families, drinkers and couples. Food is average though good for a night out
The meal was lovely (when it eventually arrived) . . . It must have been an unexpectedly busy night as the meal took an hour and a quarter to arrive (and it has never been like this before)
Atmosphere is lovely, Service staff were polite and prompt. Food was prompt also. Although my fish was well over cooked. But everything else was nice. I would eat there again.
It was quite nice, friendlier service than I have had in the past. The food was nice but felt it was a little overpriced however I would come again. I would give it a 7/10
Greeted professionally & warmly & the COVID safe plan was clear & explained without ambiguity. Our meals were delicious including steaks to perfection. My only complaint was my sauce was not the one I ordered. Not a big deal. Everything was so tasty I didn’t care.
This was a great night out and the food was awesome and the price was great and the atmosphere was awesome as well
We chose to sit in the standard dining area, which seem to have a funny smell. So we asked to be moved to another table and the staff accommodated our request without any issues. We will be going back.
We enjoyed the Samford valley hotel for my daughters birthday it is always enjoyable. Great food and good service.
Older male who greeted us (assuming a manager) was extremely rude. Food was decent but overpriced for the quality. Waited just over 50 minutes to get our food and when our mains were bought out they’d forgotten to bring the entree out so had to wait another 10 minutes for the entree.
The first hurdle is the involved digital registration of one's address courtesy of Covid 19. Fussy buggy sort of app via the mobile when a simple 'sign in could be done in 30 seconds.
The customers in front of me in the line were conducting a corporate takeover which took ages. Had to repeat my order three times and then the EFTPOS machine wouldn't work which was after the counter person mumbled something and disappeared while I waited for someone to take my order.
Next hurdle was buying drinks. My partner ordered a lemon lime and bitters. The lime essence all dumped in the glass as the serving person had no idea how to make the drink, so it had to be made again. I wanted Pepsi Max which they didn't have.
Food came out in about 20 minutes. My Pork Belly consisted of two small squares and a some veges. Poor value at $29. My partner's Battered Fish was standard fair. The garlic bread was outstandingly good.
The courtyard where we dined is near the street which had a constant traffic noise.
No signs to locate the toilets so wandered about. We could smell cigarette smoke from somewhere.
Overall, expensive and poorly managed.
Just about everything was first rate, food was awesome, wait and Bar staff efficient and friendly. The meal delivery very timely, the only part of our dining experience that was disappointing was the attitude of the Maitre D, and this is not the first time we have experienced this, he is overbearing and not at all friendly, doesn't seem to like his job.
The staff were just not switched on. I think they need more training not necessarily in the actually job but in actual customer service.
The Meal was ok. I had the barramundi but it was very dry so it wasn’t that nice
Pleasant semi-outdoor eating area. Relaxed but efficient drinks and food service. Go to register to order food and to bar to order drinks. Limited wine list, but satisfactory.
We had steaks which were good. Chips and salad also good Altogether apleasant lunch.
Everything was outstanding except we ordered our meals for our table there was 4 of us 2 ordered then paid then we ordered then paid at the same time but our meals came out 20 minutes apart. The first 2 had finished by the time we got ours.
We had a lovely time good was very good and service but we did have to wait a long time for the meal
Conveniently located in beautiful Samford Village. Loads of historic charm! Service polite and professional with great adherence to Covid dining guidelines. Atmosphere good considering the stricter rules surrounding gatherings. Outside heaters not fully effective on what was a really cold night but overall a good experience.
Great food and lovely place to catch up with friends
This is a great place for a relaxing meal or drinks with family and friends. We were not rushed and felt at home dining there. Thank you for the experience, we are going to make it our family meeting place.
Always good food and service and a lovely relaxed country vibe.
All Covid 19 guidelines were in place. Food and service were very good.
Great food and atmosphere even with the COVID restrictions
Great food 😀
Great meal. Well setup following Covid conditions.
Very filling. Steak was done perfectly and a good selection of beers and wine
Well sorted in keeping us separated and safe during the current COVID19 era.
