Had a great time as always. Service was impeccable snd the food was fantastic!
This restaurant is consistently delicious, with excellent service.
It never disappoints. It's the poster child of fine dining.
Excellent food, experienced engaging knowledgeable wait staff
Abraham continues to set the standard for American dining in Dallas. While there continue to be old favorites on the menu, some menu items are constantly changing. Specifically, the escargots appetizer is now served in a delicate, buttery puff pastry which is absolutely terrific.
One of Dallas’ best restaurants and best chef. Always a delight.
Server had spot on suggestions. The Cambodian amok was wonderfully prepared. Excellent dining experience.
Great food and service.
Salum is simply outstanding. The decor and ambiance is perfect and when coupled with chef Abraham’s incredible cuisine it is tough to beat. Really outstanding experience.
Loved everything about the dining experience at Salum, as usual!!
Overall good. Cocktail menu was only so so. Need more vibrant cocktail menu. Too dark.
We love this place for lunch and dinner. This was probably my 30th or 30th visit and Salum did not disappoint. Spaghetti carbonara: good cheese sauce but overall too salty -- with parmesan and bacon, salt can be an issue but doesn't have to be.
Beef wellington was not en croute but the tenderloin had a little "beanie" of puff pastry and that was actually just fine. Two orders came out of the kitchen perfectly cooked: one medium rare, one medium. Excellent side veggies.
The black manhattan was worth getting again, the curry beef soup was outstanding, and the apple-berry crisp was, as usual, outstanding.
Service was a bit on the diffident side. We had to ask for our cocktail order to be taken and once drinks were delivered had to ask for the bread (three pieces in the basket for a table of three? seemed a little light).
We loved our evening. Our server, Rachel, was top notch, and our food was excellent. We especially loved the chocolate cake for dessert. Rachel told us that Abraham Salum has made it himself!
This is the perfect spot for date night or celebrating a special event. Food is amazing and the service is second to none. Chef Abraham Salum is so kind and makes a point to make you feel at home.
Nice experience but food was a disappointment particularly the pate
Sill one of the best dining experiences in Dallas. Great food and service and chef owned, too. Should be on your lists of places to dine.
It was our anniversary and the food and service here is always first class. My wife had fried green tomatoes stuffed with crab meat and then lobster tail with watermelon. I had crispy shrimp spring rolls and then beef Wellington. Our dessert was sticky toffee date cake. It was all wonderful! The chef/owner, Abraham Salum, greets and seats you and then checks back after your meal to make sure it was enjoyable. That says a lot after opening this great restaurant 14 years ago. Thank you.
Beautiful ambiance! Chef greeted us at the door and took us to our table. The food was very delicious, and unique. We will return in the future
This is our absolute favorite go to restaurant for a lovely dinner with friends for special evening. And Mary is the best server ever! Please don’t ever go away!
Salum never disappoints! The food is delicious and the wait staff friendly and very professional. Abraham Salum is always there making sure you are enjoying the experience.
Amazing fettuccini with red sauce and chicken! Fantastic warm olive bread with butter. 1st time guest. I'll be back!!
Very enjoyable evening, very helpful service
will come again
Great neighborhood restaurant with a warm welcome and very good food and service
We go often and always a wonderful experience
I had the Chicken Fried Spicy Pork Wings with Red Eye Gravy and Vinegar Greens, and it was so delicious. the service was spot on, as usual.
I would like to thank the staff of Salum, y'all always make dinner a great event!
Food was good but not great. I love the intimate atmosphere and wanted the food to be delicious but it just wasn’t. Sadly, we won’t be back.
Made sure my dining experience was perfect.
I love Salum and have dined there many times. The menu is creative and varied. Always good service. Easy in and out and not fussy. But in the last few visits the food has been slightly below expectations. Really just giving a heads up to Abraham and the staff to take a close look. It’s still a lovely, warm place.
We had no expectations when we went in and enjoyed it start to finish. The wine we chose was excellent and the service responsive. Was a tight dinner room but you don't go there to hang out you go for the food. Chef greeted us at the end of the meal and seemed very proud of his dishes, with good reason.
Food was just okay.
We had the fried green tomatoes as appetizer, the concept was great, but I didn’t like the breading on the tomatoes it was too much
I also think for the price I need a larger piece of rainbow trout.
Went for restaurant week. Apps were all great. Entrees - 1 great, 1 good, 1 ok (chicken was dry). Dessert was surprisingly good given that we could see them microwaving the brownies in batches.
Service could have been better. Wanted to order another drink and waited so long decided not to. Also had to wait longer than desired sometimes for water refills.
Will go back and try a “normal” meal.
Wonderful food. The menu changes monthly so one can come often.
Ibrahim Salum is a hands on chef, creating the menu and coming to your table to make sure everything is perfect. Very good wine menu
The best restaurant in Dallas. The food is ALWAYS Superb. The bartender makes and excellent Mexican Martini. My husband has the Black Manhattan and he said it was delicious. The Chef/Owner was there and he walked around and chatted with us throughout the meal. Every bite was delightful.
We have loved this restaurant since we first went many years ago. Abraham's menu is always diverse and the flavors he puts together are wonderful. I started with the Green Fig Salad with Pistachios while my husband had the Octopus. We had to share with each other because we both loved both dishes. We moved on to a vegetarian pasta for me and a lovely seafood dish for my hubby. Ended with brownies and Henry's Ice Cream. This is a luxury experience and at the same a great value. We love Salum.
To start, we were there for Restaurant Week. Excellent dining and our waitress was top shelf.
Small restaurant that is cleanly decorated and very neighborly. Noise level increased as the space filled to the point you had to raise you voice to speak to table companion.
Food presentation was excellent and flavorful. I had the salmon, nicely done, and my friend had hand made pasta, also well done. Can't remember the starter, other than it was a crepe in panko coating filled with goat cheese and drizzled with quince sauce. Delish! Dessert combo of chocolate cherry brownie and bread pudding was nice touch.
Salum did not disappoint. Very imaginative preparation and pairings. The trout I ordered was perfectly cooked on a bed of legumes. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to the next time.
Went for Restaurant week. Had a nice meal with fantastic service! Cocktails were great!
We dined during Restaurant Week. The restaurant was about 3/4 full and was a little warmer and noisier than I would like, I was sweating and I am not a sweater. I ordered the crepe appetizer which was OK but fried a little brown. I question whether it was frozen and then fried to warm it up. The waitress asked if I wanted my salmon medium rare. I said medium and I should have taken her question as a suggestion. The salmon and the zucchini patty under it were overdone. The menu on the web said one of the entrees was trout and they had salmon. I was going to order trout. My husband got the goat cheese appetizer and shared. It was excellent. I wish I liked mussels. Other tables got it and it was beautiful as it passed by our table. The dessert duo had been frozen and warmed up. The ice cream on the web menu was nowhere to be seen. My husband got the pasta with shrimp which were wonderful and perfectly cooked but the pasta was not tender. Our waitress was very friendly and competent. I was particularly impressed with her because I only saw one other waitperson. Bus boys did a great job. I really liked the decor. I was really excited to go to this restaurant as two good friends recommended it. It was mine and friend's birthdays. I was 79 and thought they might have offered a better desert. Eddie V's does.
Service was excellent and non-rushed but attentive. we tried lamb, goat cheese and wings. all foods was cooked perfectly.
Very attentive wait staff and great ambiance. Didn’t feel like I was in Dallas anymore. Mussels were delicious and salmon was cooked to perfection.
Four of us went to Salum Restaurant for Dallas Restaurant Week's preview week. We eat out frequently but had not noticed Salum Restaurant before this year's Restaurant Week, and we were quite pleased with our experience. The great experience started with maitre d' who immediately made us welcome, and continued throughout the meal with our exceptional server, Rachel. Rachel was perfectly attentive, personable, and professional: she alone would be good reason to go back to Salum Restaurant. Our appetizers -- two us got the Texas goat cheese, one the palachinke and another a salad -- were uniformly exceptional. The entrees were also quite good. Again two of us got the fettucine, another the salmon, and another the "pork wings." Typically we would have skipped dessert, but desserts were included with the preview dinner and were probably the only weak spot of the evening. Let me add that the drinks were quite well made. All in all a very good evening. We definitely encourage others to visit Salum Restaurant and will be sure to return ourselves.
Excellent food and service either for lunch or dinner. The chef/owner makes his way around the restaurant to make sure everyone is enjoying being his guest and is continually communicating with the kitchen and floor staff. The menu changes monthly with a few staples plus new dishes.
