Absolutely outstanding, staff were warm, welcoming professional without being on top of us. Food sensational. Highly recommend

I have been to Sake in the Rocks several times and it is always great. Manly has a very different atmosphere but the food is just as good. We had the banquet which was a lot of food. I can recommend the Lychie Martini. Very busy and noisy on a Friday night but we had a great time and the service was very good. On the expensive side at $175 a head for 3 people. I would recommend for a special occasion.

This is a lovely spot, beautiful space, great view. For such a large modern space it was surprisingly cosy. The staff were attentive (except for occasionally forgetting to top up the wine from the bottle they take elsewhere). A few vegan options which was good (could do with a few more) Lovely fresh ingredients well presented. We will return.

If I could give 6 stars I would! Everything about this place was amazing.
The food was delicious, we ordered 5 or 6 dishes to share and every one of them was good. I recommend choosing a couple from the signature dishes selection but every dish was yummo. Wagyu beef, sashimi, sushi and unbelievable popcorn shrimp - they even made the broccoli taste amazing!
The service was also first class. Every member of staff was smiling, friendly and engaging. It was a special birthday dinner and they surprised us at the end with a cupcake and candle- a great touch to finish a really enjoyable evening.
This will definitely become a local favourite of mine and I’ll be returning soon!

Fabulous everything. food, saki, presentation, pace of service, attention of staff. Music was at the perfect volume; able to hear the music but not so loud that I was able enjoy conversation w my date. She remarked on this aspect as well and also enjoyed our evening. Expensive, but knew that before booking. Only complaint. Booking system w Open Table; my reservation didn't appear on their books, lucky for me it wasn't too busy there was a table. This could have ruined what was a special night out. They reported Open Table bookings are often a problem; suggest checking w the restaurant after you book. The first booking was for the night I made the reservation (wed) which was not the night I selected. I cancelled this booking after finding it also booked the sat night I wanted. Also, I never got a confirmation call from the restaurant, which was a flag.

It was a lovely surprise to see how different Sake Manly was to that of Sake in the Rocks area. It wasn’t easy to find, however the view was well worth it. I felt the serves were too small but the food was good. The best dish was the roast chicken and the rice however the servings were tiny. The big surprise was the Opawa Sauvignon Blanc which was sublime. My friends enjoyed the lunch tremendously and thought the venue was lovely. Thank you Sake!
