Parents weekend. Great brunch.
I literally try go to Saje AT LEAST once every 1-2 weeks it’s one of my favorite places I brought my best friend there for dinner last night and he loved it as much as I do every time. The food is amazing and the ambiance is really chill but it’s the people who work there that do it for me they’re all really nice it’s always a 10/10 for me!
Wonderful staff great food drinks & hookah ❤️
The servers were very good, food taste really good, music is popping.
Not what it looks like in the photos, it was an overwhelming experience + not so great food.
The food was fantastic! Great service too!
Horrible experience worst service and overpriced for quality.
Great food - a little loud
Amazing , outstanding !!! The food was great, the music was great, the waitress and owner were so pleasant, 10/10 highly recommended
I went to Saje with a couple of my girlfriends to celebrate a birthday and the experience exceeded our expectations! First of all, the interior decor and the bar are beautifully appointed and very welcoming. Overall, it’s a modern aesthetic and pleasing to the eye. Our server, Etta, was very attentive and friendly. She made great recommendations for cocktails, appetizers, and main dishes. The owners, Andre and Ian, came to our table and greeted us personally…making the experience even more fun and enjoyable. All of the dishes appeared just like the images we saw online and everything tasted wonderful. We are planning to go again soon, probably on a Thursday night, when Saje offers half-priced cocktail pitchers.
This restaurant was recommended by a friend so we gave it a try. We were seated immediately upon arrival and greeted by the waitress who was very nice. We ordered drinks and appetizers but the wait was unusually long for both even though there was only one other table that was occupied by another party.
After a long wait the appetizers came out but were cold.
The Calamari was sparse and contained more peppers than squid. It was probably less than a half order. The only highlight for me were the chicken skewers until I had to pull a long hair out of my mouth and at that point lost my appetite.
We were not charged for that appetizer but the bill was still over $200 for 3 appetizers, 2 burger entrees, 1 lobster Mac and Cheese for$35 and 1 BLT entree.
The entree’s did not come out together and were bland so we asked for boxes to take them home.
Overall, to be completely honest I would not go back to this restaurant based on this first visit with my family.
Additionally, if you are looking for a good reasonably priced restaurant in the Atwells Ave area that serves great food at great prices there are many but based on this first visit Sage Kitchen is not one of them. Just my opinion.
Great experience! I will be coming back very soon!
It was a really disappointing experience. The music was so loud we could not hear the waitress and it was impossible to hear each other across the table. The quality of the food was not worth the price - grits was clumpy and shrimp over cooked. My husband ordered a “loaded burger” that was beyond well done that it was “crispy” and most of the loaded items missing. When he brought it to the waitress’s attention she said “ok” and disappeared. We will not be returning.
Menu completely changed from what is posted online. Walked out. Caused us to waste an hour looking for somewhere decent to eat.
Awesome food! Great service! Took my partner out for her birthday, and she enjoyed herself.
Amazing food, nice atmosphere, perfect music…. Food and drink times are alittle too long on both occasions that’s the only not so nice thing about this place but if they could work on that it would be top tier !!!!
Nice location. Wine selection by the glass was limited. Food was average. Nothing really stood out for me…except for the very loud music playing.
I went out for a date, & Saje Kitchen ended up being more than what I expected. From the welcoming host to the comforting r&b music, everything was a 15/10. I am excited to return whenever I am around Providence! It will definitely be on my “To-do” list, as it checks off all of the boxes.
Enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere, and the staff are polite and friendly. Just be aware that they are a craft kitchen, so everything is made from scratch and takes a while to cook. Our food took 1.5 hours to come out for a group of 5.
We went to Saje Kitchen for Father’s Day brunch and it blew our minds. The decor was lovely and modern, but still cozy. They had the best playlist, RnB vibes. The staff was so nice and accommodating. They pride themselves on their expertise with southern cuisine and they really deliver. Amazing food and craft cocktails. Can’t wait to go back!
Beyond my expectations! Everything was just amazing !!
Food was fantastic, highly recommend, and came out very fast. Our service was awful though, we had to go searching for our waitress for drinks, water, the tab, it was frustrating.
Save your money and go elsewhere. Ordered a drink pitcher and there couldn’t have been more than two drinks in it (as far as alcohol goes). You’d think for $60 there would have been (note: we did pay half price for their “ladies night”). Oysters were not fresh. French fries were frozen. Server was fantastic and very kind, but won’t ever be returning.
I loved the food at Saje so much I wanted to go back the next day. The food was perfect. I can’t wait to try the other menu items!
Not the greatest southern food. But I lived in new orleans for three years. Caesar salad was good though. Had the shrimp and grits. The $6 water bottle when you ask for still water...puhleez.
We will definitely be going back! The deviled eggs were delicious. Loved the cocktails we had as well. We were a little late for the reservation. I called to let them know. The restaurant was very accommodating and held the table. Our server was very attentive and personable.
From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us. The ambiance & vibe of the restaurant was amazing. It was a diverse crowd, which is pleasing. The food was amazing & the drinks were delicious 😋. The lobster Mac & cheese was a little salty, but other than that everything was amazing. There were 6 of us so we all got something different. We will be back!
This place is amazing I have literally told everyone since going that they have to try it and we will definitely be going back.
Nice after work drink spot. Federal Hill can have noisy cars going by, but service was excellent, great wine selections by the glass too!
Saje is the hottest place on the Hill right now! They are shaking things up and raising the bar.
Fantastic food, drinks, service. They serve creative spins on southern hospitality and literally everything we’ve tried on the menu is a hit. While we’ve taken the kids and they love it too, my husband and I decided this is now “our place” and our new fav date spot. Sit outside if you can for great people watching too. But really, come for the food and stay for the hospitality. The staff and especially are he owners are so welcoming and friendly - you won’t want to leave!
Start to finish this restaurant made Mother’s Day very special. Delicious food. Our waitress was amazing. Very attentive. Drink was excellent. There were 5 of us and our food arrived all at the same time and all hot (Caesar salad without Brussels for my daughter was delicious). The restaurant was beautiful. My in-laws enjoyed the day as well. Thank you. Can’t wait to go back and try something else from the menu. Chicken fried steak excellent. Dessert was s’mores. Delicious.
First time going was on Mother’s Day and loved it. They had good r&b music and all the silverware and plates were so unique. Definitely would recommend and going back soon!!
Great food and ambiance. It was Mother's Day. Something happened in the kitchen as we had to wait a long time for food and at one point there was no food at any table in the restaurant. But my mom and I were very happy once the food came and we would go back when it's not a holiday.
Bartenders were excellent and so were the servers. Food took a while to come out which resulted in it being lukewarm. Some in the party loved their meal and for others it was just ok.
Waffles were too sweet even without the syrup. Lobster Mac had a cast iron after taste. Shrimp and grits were good, drinks were great.
Amazing food and drinks. Definitely coming back for brunch!
Great atmosphere, amazing food and drinks! I would highly recommend it.
What a pleasant surprise for a Sunday brunch! Excellent food and superior service from this beautiful little spot tucked away on The Hill. Everything at brunch was so tasty that we're already making plans to go back for dinner this week!
Best restaurant experience of my life. I was lucky enough to make reservations two hours before we headed out . I went here on a Saturday night for a late dinner with some friends. When we arrived the host asked if we were celebrating anything, and I told him that I was graduating college next week. They brought us a complimentary round of shots. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive. The atmosphere and the music was amazing. I could barley stay on my seat. Our food was tasted great and came in a timely manner. After the check came out server surprised us with a “smoking” Oreo cheesecake. It tasted so good. And right before we left the host gave me a small bouquet of roses. On the ride back home my friends and I could not stop talking about how much fun we had that night.
Saje had a great time. Prices were pretty high end small portions. All the food was warm. Being in the industry 15+years it seemed to me that calamari was less than 5ounces. Street corn was almost cold. Wings were crispy but Luke warm.
Ambiance was beautiful. Great job following COVID guidelines. I will defiantly be back the owner was present and hope They continue on Federal Restaurant Scene!
