Came to Saje Kitchen two weekends in a row. Both times drinks took forever. Second time food took almost 60 min. The food portions are ridiculous for the price. Ordered the ribs... plate was nearly empty when it came out and no meet on ribs. Second time ordered the Mac n cheese with lobster. I wasn’t expecting anything huge but it was the tiniest portion I’ve ever seen for $24........ cherry on top was the bathroom had no toilet paper. I will say the blueberry migos is a yummy drink and the thrice baked wings are awesome. Sadly still won’t be coming back.
Restaurant was closed
Great customer service and tasty food.
If you want to be able to hear the people you are dining with, this is not the place for you. As you walk in you are immediately berated with extremely loud hip hop music. I personally went on a Sunday night at 6:00 to enjoy a relaxing meal, this was made impossible by the loud music and the fact that the “restaurant” is so poorly lit that you can barely read the menu. The food was better than expected, but did not match the ambiance what do ever.
My fiancé and I went out for a date night, and I had asked the owner to make it special for me and when we arrived there was a bottle of champagne waiting at the best table. The food and the service was excellent. We will definitely be recommending to our friends and family and returning for another nice evening
Food drinks and service were amazing! Alana was especially wonderful!
Went with a large party, server was nice but food missed the mark and for the price, a lot better options. Ribs were over cooked, calamari was like dry cardboard, seafood gumbo wasn’t gumbo. Drinks were good but wouldn’t come back
I'd been seeing Saje on EatDrinkRI social pages and kept thinking I had to try - it just looked to good to be true though! Pleased to report that everything is as absolutely as amazing at it looked!!! Many places can try to do unique twists on things like deviled eggs, chicken and waffles or sweet roasted brussels, and they will fail because it's all in the details which are often neglected. Saje nailed it all around. So many great things on the menu to choose from and everything we had was A+ because the dishes are thoughtful in terms of layered tastes and textures. The service was fab and quickly helped us moved from an inside seat to outside (the scene on the hill is GREAT right now!) and even turned down the heater when it was a bit much. Really well done in terms of timing to bringing everything out at a great pace and cleaning up as we moved through out meal. It's surprising how many places get these things wrong. So again, it's all in the details and we were 100% thrilled. Also, shout out to simple but amazing style of water glasses even, Definitely going back again because I need to try everything on the menu now!!
This was my second time going. I literally got 10 pieces of calmari with tons of garnish, the drink we asked for not too much ice so I guess the alcohol was reduced also. The dinners was good but overall It’s a nice chill spot but very over priced for what you get.
We loved our first visit to Sage! The food was delicious - a twist on Southern cooking w/each dish...the Tuna Tartare and the Burrata/Apple starters were fantastic as was the blackened salmon and the burger...next time we're def going to try the large format dishes as they looked amazing. The bartender was the bomb - started the night off w/surprise woowoo shots and then made a perfect espresso martini. Def would go back - even in Covid craziness there was a very fun vibe.
We came here for brunch. Excellent cocktails and food. I had the chicken and waffle, which was one of there best I've ever had. Also have a small but solid craft beer selection. The service was on point too. Our group really felt spoiled between the tasty food, creative and balanced cocktails, and the personal service. Thank you Saje, we'll be back!
I know this is a new restaurant, but they haven't decided whether they want to be a restaurant or a club. The music at 6pm was pounding and loud, prohibiting conversation. The staff spend most of the time visiting with each other in very loud voices (to be heard over the music). They did not know their menu well and didn't appear to be very experienced. They needed some more training for their job.
The food was not very plentiful or exciting. I ordered apple burrata salad. There were no apples. The waitress brought the wrong wine, --a white instead of the red I ordered--even though I pointed it out on the menu.
All in all, they need to have a better vision of what a good restaurant looks like.
We love saje, the vibes are amazing and the food is delicious!
Everything was pretty good. The environment was dope. Food was good no complaints, drinks even better!
So happy I got to try this place! It’s adorable, our server was so cute and so nice. And the food was DIVINE.
Really amazing service and the waitstaff is really attentive.
Absolutely love saje kitchen. The service is impeccable, the chef is outstanding and the atmosphere is everything.
Thank you for the great review!
Overall really enjoyed it just wish there were more heaters outside! We were a bit chilly but food was a 10!
Hi Ally, we're really happy you enjoyed your experience at Saje Kitchen! We currently have 10 patio heaters we were able to secure for the colder months! We reload propane tanks every night and are doing everything we can to ensure our guests stay warm. We're encouraging our guests to also BYO-Blanket so people can support restaurants into the colder months. Thank you again for the great review!
Loved this restaurant! Loved the welcome shots upon arrival! The food was great and the drinks were amazing. I feel like the place is a bit pricey but would definitely go again. There was a love violinist when i went who played a lot of modern music which was awesome!
From the food to service, everything was amazing. Will definitely be back soon!
Was excited to try saje after reading so many good reviews! Its beautiful inside and our server was very nice but our food didnt meet the expectation. We ordered the street corn which was hard as a rock and 2 tiny pieces of corn for $11, then we also got the chicken skewers and friend chicken and waffles and the portions were crazy small for the price. Our drinks were good but it took a long time to receive them, we had ordered another round and didnt receive it till well after we finished our meal.
Loved Saje Kitchen, the food was excellent and despite the COVID issues and outside dining the atmosphere was great. A really eclectic vibe. Awesome server and met one of the owners. Jessica. She was great! Highly recommend Saje Kitchen for a fun and delicious night out!!+++
Amazing food and customer service! Will definitely be back
Food is excellent, prices were good, staff were amazing! Go there you won’t regret it!
Went there for my brothers birthday friendly staff great ambience good service.
Saje is a beautiful restaurant! The interior design is eye-catching, the ambiance is cool, sexy, and calm. The wait staff was great! All very friendly and happy to assist. Once we were seated, we were offered complimentary shots to start our dining experience off. My sister and I ordered oysters on a half shell, which were tasty, fresh with no grit in them, and for our main course, we shared the gumbo and mac and cheese...
This is where my review goes downhill, lets start with mac and cheese
1. It tasted just like kraft right of the box
2. It was not seasoned enough for my liking
3. The bread or cracker crumbs that was placed on top of the mac and cheese was very bland and unnecessary
If you are expecting a down-home southern serving of mac and cheese, this is not a dish you'd want to order.
Moving on to the gumbo
1. Very nice presentation, but lack of flavor
2. Gumbo is usually supposed to be tomato-based and this gave my taste buds a more refried beans paste taste.
I would recommend Saje to a friend and I would return, but would order a different dish in the future.
Food is excellent! We love everything about Saje Kitchen!
Food and drinks were excellent! Server was very attentive.
love this place
Went for dessert.. after dinner on the hill. Great atmosphere. Very accommodating...they moved the heaters closer to our table... the peach cheesecake was phenomenal
Fantastic night with great friends!! Super cool vibe, great music and loved how serious the restaurant is taking Covid-19. As you enter, they take your temperature; I appreciate the extra mile everyone is taking during these trying times. Can't wait to get back there.
The entire dining experience was fantastic
Amazing and food wS delicious
Amazing food with great service. No idea that they were only open for a weeks. Food was perfectly prepared, timely, and unique.
We sat outside and had a great experience. The food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend the new Gnocchi dish! Servers were friendly and knowledgable about the menu. I was eat here again.
This restaurant is exactly what Providence needs. The food was delicious and surprising. We ate like half the menu and not a bad bite. The best dishes were the chicken and waffles, the biscuits and honey butter as well as the gnocchi. Although now that I think about it the watermelon salad and chicken wings were amazing too 😅
Best restaurant in Providence hands down!
Chicken and waffles, biscuits, shrimp and grits, and chicken skewers and rice were all amazing as were the cocktails
Perfect for any time and a refreshingly new spot! Warm and welcoming atmosphere, amazing service, delicious drinks and food - could tell it was all made thoughtfully.
Excellent tapas style dining- lots of choices!
Chicken and waffles was superb!
Thank you for coming in Becky!
Good drinks , good food with a different twist. Highly recommend.
