Sails Noosa, in Noosa Heads, is a restaurant that prides itself on serving contemporary Australian cuisine made with seasonal and local produce in its charming beachside eatery. The charred ciabatta bread with house smoked trout butter and the freshly shucked oysters with shallot vinegar with caraway grissini bread sticks make delectable appetizer options. Some of Sails Noosa's specialties include seafood dishes, such as the scorched miso marinated toothfish fillet with pickled watermelon radish and orange miso, the barbecue mud crab slathered in roast garlic butter and the mahi mahi beer battered fish and chips. Not in the mood for seafood? Sails Noosa also has sumptuous land fare, such as the grass-fed steak in mushroom butter, as well as vegetarian dishes, like the baked butternut pumpkin-filled zucchini flowers with potato gnocchi and pesto.
Sails Noosa is also an exceptional events space for both public and private functions.
We really enjoy Sails because of the fantastic food and professional staff. There are few better locations on Sunshine Coast.
Biggest problem was we picked a day where there was a 50th birthday party taking place. Very noisy, which is understandable but there were young kids that were continually moving about throughout the restaurant which made for an unpleasant afternoon.
Second visit. Attended last year whilst on holidays and this visit didn’t let us down. Gorgeous spot
Service was outstanding & food delicious
To be honest it has taken us 12 years of being locals to visit Sails and the meal was average considering the cost. There are so many restaurants to choose from that offer flavoursome food without the price tag. Doubt if we will return.
Unsurpassed location and wine list. Excellent food and service. Remains our favourite Australian restaurant
Elegant dining in a relaxed, beautiful environment. Staff are on the ball Well done.
Beautiful restaurant. Superb food. Excellent service. Expensive but outstanding.
Perfect location, amazing food and excellent service...fab wine list to top it offers .....it is now our favourite restaurant in Noosa.
Great restaurant, great food, great wine list and wonderful location on the beach! One of our favourites every time we visit Noosa.
Great spot in beach. Excellent waiting staff . Incredible wine selection.
We have eaten here before and loved it. Food is still good.Disappointed this time, waited over 30minutes for dessert which never came, waitress too busy chatting at the bar to monitor our meal’s progress. Eventually asked at front desk if they could check what was happening with our desserts, completely lost order. Left without dessert. First world problem but for the prices here, customers deserve better.
Amazing food, beautiful views and great service. We loved our night at Sails and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
Wonderful service by April, in a stunning location to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, as always, complimented by a tasty Aperol & a beautiful bottle of wine.
Lovely staff and very knowledgeable with their wines. Food was delicious. A definite must visit for couples when visiting Noosa
A great place at a wonderful beach with great food and service
Always a sensational experience at Sails. The food and wine selection is fantastic, the service always professional and of course it is the best positioned restaurant in Noosa!
We are regulars in that we stay at Netanya and don’t miss an opportunity to dine at Sails. We love the food and always get good service
I am fed up with being asked to do surveys.
We live locally and Sails is our special occassion restaurant, and we have never been dissapointed with the service, atmosphere or food, and Saturday was no different. The staff were great, the food was well presented, tasty and great quality, you pay for what you get. We had a beach side table and given it was a beautfil day, we couldn't have asked for more.
Thanks again for a great dining experience.
Regards, Mark and Kate
Another wonderful dining experience at Sails. Unfortunately some of the wines that we wanted were unavailable. Lovely evening. A special part of our Noosa visits.
Sails was exceptional as per usual. The food was spectacular, the service was great and the wine was beautiful - highly recommended.
A beautiful quiet night at Sails, enjoying the best negroni I've ever drunk, along with superb food.
Food was so delicious, location perfect, service outstanding. Alex our waiter really made us feel special. Highly recommend.
Wife had Moreton Bay Bug....$58 and only 1 bug ...plate taken up by the head and meat was gone in 4 or 5 bites....poor value
We thought the food was bland and overpriced.
Service was very good.
I think the restaurant relies on its reputation for their healthy visit numbers.
Food was great! Chocolate Pav to die for . Our waitress had terrific personality and very professional.
It was same I sat with back to view. Would have hoped for table closer to beach view.
Perfect spot for a long lunch! Great wine list! Absolutely love the crab lasagna, always a winner!
We very much enjoyed our evening, we had a lovely table and the service was very efficient. The entrees and mains were really good, the desserts were a bit disappointing in comparison. When I ordered the wine, I pointed to a $62 bottle on the menu, our waitress assumed it was the wine on the line below at $120. I didn't realise she had made the wrong assumption until the bill came. Not sure how misunderstandings like that can be avoided in the future! Just something to think about.
Fabulous food and service as usual, our favourite restaurant in Noosa
Food was delicious. Wait staff were very attentive & accommodating. Great view over Noosa Beach on a fabulous clear sunny day! Everything was perfect.
Very disappointed! Having previously dined here we recommended it to our friends and booked together. The service was slow, food was bland and we were seated at a table near the front door even though there were plenty of free tables. There are plenty of great restaurants in Noosa, this used to be one of them, sadly not anymore!
Hi There, my husband and I traveled to Noosa with our family and booked Sails for our 'date-night' on Thursday 17th Oct. We have dined at this restaurant before and so were very much looking forward to it.
We were seated at the front of the restaurant with a lovely view. We were offered water and menus when we sat down but after that is took at least 20 mins before someone came to us for our drinks menu - we also had to motion for the wait staff several times throughout the evening - this is not acceptable when the menu pricing sits where it does.
Thankfully the food was excellent and we were offered a small entree as an apology.
We love this restaurant and I thought I would take the time to mention the service as this is an imperative aspect with any fine dining experience.
The wait staff were great when at our table but it seemed as if they were stretched for staff that evening
Excellent food - though a little pricey, you get good value for money
Good wine list.
Overall a poor experience and would not recommend Sails to anyone.
My starter of pork and scallops consisted of thin slices of scallops, some pork and sugar concoction (which i found difficult to still even relate to pork) and a chunk of pineapple. This dish simply did not work together and for the price when I order scallops I expect a scallop or two not a couple of stingy slices.
My main of Morton bay bugs, presented well and was looking forward to digging in to that delicious looking bug. First bite brought only disappointment and it did not improve. The sauce smothering the bugs was so overwhelming and salty that any flavour of the bug itself was removed. The sauce should accompany the focus of the dish not completely overwhelm it. Overall the main was a very expensive bit of sauce.
My desert of deconstructed cheesecake was the only good dish of the evening. Everything worked on this plate but unfortunately could not make up for the first two dishes.
Some upsides to the experience, the venue was nice, the staff were pleasant and the wine menu extensive. However, the people on the table next to my wife and I, one of which we were later told was the owner, made the experience quite uncomfortable.
Having now spent my vaccaction in Noosa a few times and eaten at quite a few of the restaurants, ranging from Locale to Indian at Noosa Junction, Sails is at the bottom of the list of places I would recommend.
Trout butter is a favourite - service was great too
Perfect location, setting, service, food and wine list! Got a table at the front as requested and the service was outstanding! (As was the chocolate pudding!)
The waiter was very personable and remembered us from our last visit.
Georgia did a great job
Our lunch at Sails on Saturday was so amazing. The food 10/10, the service 10/10 the wine 10/10.
We will definitely be back 😊😊
