Sails Noosa, in Noosa Heads, is a restaurant that prides itself on serving contemporary Australian cuisine made with seasonal and local produce in its charming beachside eatery. The charred ciabatta bread with house smoked trout butter and the freshly shucked oysters with shallot vinegar with caraway grissini bread sticks make delectable appetizer options. Some of Sails Noosa's specialties include seafood dishes, such as the scorched miso marinated toothfish fillet with pickled watermelon radish and orange miso, the barbecue mud crab slathered in roast garlic butter and the mahi mahi beer battered fish and chips. Not in the mood for seafood? Sails Noosa also has sumptuous land fare, such as the grass-fed steak in mushroom butter, as well as vegetarian dishes, like the baked butternut pumpkin-filled zucchini flowers with potato gnocchi and pesto.
Sails Noosa is also an exceptional events space for both public and private functions.
We have visited Noosa on many many occasions, but have never eaten here.
I am so glad that we did this time! We had a friend over from the UK so decided a night eating with the sound of the water would be good.
We didn’t get a table with a sea view, but we did ask, and after @0 minutes they kindly moved us to the front.
Thank you so much for accommodating us. Our friend said it was such a special night, and one she will not forget.
Food was excellent, staff attentive and wine superb
Thank you everyone
Absolutely as good as the time before! Excellent totally recommend dining there!
Lovely restaurant on the beach at Noosa Heads. It was a shame that thunderstorms passed by and our front line table to get a view of the beach had huge plastic falls in front of - not that you could change that. Food was excellent. Not sure why they need to add a 10% surcharge for a Sunday night at a tourist spot - the restaurant was busy and felt it took the account above where it should have been.
In fairness, it was an awful day weather-wise in noosa, but we still went out in the pouring rain to Sails. Perhaps because the restaurant had been talked up by other we had high expectations, we were left feeling the food was good but not great/outstanding, hence the 3 stars. Have to say though that the service was BRILLIANT! The staff were all lovely and friendly.
Will still go back because this place is a stunning location and deserves another go!
Everything was incredible! We LOVED our experience. My only suggestion would be to have some mood music turned up a touch so we couldn’t listen to next tables quiet conversation and had privacy for our own conversation as well. Otherwise, top knotch! Thank you!
Fantastic food, wonderful service thoroughly enjoyed the experience
Always good food, can’t beat the view and entrees exceptional.
Beautiful surroundings, fabulous service and delicious meals. We arrived for lunch and it was so good that we returned the same day for wine, cheese and dessert.
We would highly recommend
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Sails, and would certainly recommend to friends and family.
Brilliant food, staff were extremely courteous. We will definitely be back to Sails.
This is a lovely restaurant with views overlooking Noosa beach. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The only small issue is the limited menu choices if you do not eat seafood.
A wonderful experience from start to finish!
Sails you never miss a beat, brilliant staff, fabulous food and 5* location. Our absolute favourite restaurant for special occasions!
Absolutely beautiful restaurant, staff were excellent and offered great service...the food was amazing...would definitely recommend
The overall experience at Sails was great, as always. We brought my sister and her husband to the restaurant and they loved it. Their meals were great and they were very happy with them. My husband and I though, had the Barramundi for our main meal and were extremely displeased with the quality of the fish. We were advised that it was wild caught and that's why we ordered it but we have had fresh, wild caught barramundi before and this was nothing at all like it should have been. It was fresh but the texture was very wrong so we were very disappointed with the main meal. We did have a wonderful waiter though and that (almost) made up for the food.
Great food, fantastic service, what more could you ask for on your Noosa Heads holiday.
Dined here for a family reunion and we all enjoyed the ambience and the view so much we stayed for the afternoon enjoying glasses of bubbles. Everyone was impressed with the high quality of their meals, good portion sizes and excellent service from the staff. Thank you Sails for a memorable day!
Amazing food, attentive staff, breath taking view. Just devine.
We had a lovely evening with a beautiful meal and great service.
Beautiful location. Service was ok but a little haphazard. Overall, the food was also ok. The seafood dishes of my companions looked good but I had the lamb rump on special which was a pretty average dish. The lamb itself was nicely pink but there was no sauce to speak of and the accompanying potato mix was a bit under-cooked and underwhelming. Went to Locale the following night; it doesn't have the view but the food is significantly better.
Fabulous food, service and setting, is always a lovely night at Sails. Every dish was delicious and the staff are attentive without being intrusive.
Food, service and view were amazing as always. The sashami plate and Moreton Bay bugs were brilliant. The service is second to none in Noosa.
We had a very lovely evening. The staff were friendly and efficient, the location is the best and the food was amazing.
Food was beautiful and views were excellent but I did order prawns and got pork for main. Dish was still delicious and didn’t complain
Always fabulous food in the best location in NOOSA
Sails fully deserves its brilliant reputation. The food was honestly the best food I have eaten in my 5 years of living in Noosa. Currently rated as the best food I have eaten in the last decade. Cant wait to go back, perhaps lunch this week? The staff were professional without being snooty completely relatable and the view is of course stunning. 5 stars all the way! Thank you!
We ordered a selection of dishes from the entree menu and they were all excellent. They were served 2 plates at a time and each paired really well. It was a beautiful setting watching the waves roll into Noosa main beach - a real treat.
Our favorite restaurant in Noosa. The foood is exceptional, service excellent and the ambience so close to the water is magnificent. Will be back!
Reception on arrival was warm & friendly, we were seated with a wonderful view of Noosa main Beach. Drinks list was superb & well priced, and the food exceeded expectations. Our waiter was excellent with suggestion and service. Definitely will return time over.
I felt the place to have an uncomfortable ambience when you dine with children given the clientele (upper market) you attract.
In addition, for the type of meal we received I found it to be quite pricey in comparison to other fine dining restaurants in Noosa.
Food and service were very good. I was surprised by an unannounced surcharge on the bill. It was rather noisy and the menus were hard to read in the light of muted candles. Overall, very enjoyable.
Honestly one of the best meals of my life! The location and views are beautiful. The waitress was lovely and was very helpful at recommending dishes and wine. We got the oysters and mud crab and they were both absolutely amazing. Thank you so much, can’t recommend highly enough!
It was our 40th Wedding Anniversary Dinner and we not only had the best table in the house but the best service and the best food and had wine we used to drink forty years ago, a little more expensive today than what it was then but a truly magnificent night.
Couldn't recommend it more highly. 5 Stars plus
My wedding anniversary
Great location. Beautiful views over first point. A favourite in Noosa. Always return. Very good service and amazing food
Better than we imagined. Thanks to April for such brilliant service, and to the chefs for their outstanding menus and food. Keep it up!
Beautiful but very expensive
An awesome evening celebrating our sons’ 19th birthday - great service / great food - based on cost would only be for celebrations for us but totally worth it in every way!!! Thank you for a great evening!!!
We were served ‘off’ oysters which previous customers had clearly complained about prior to our order. Before we could say anything to the staff, the waitress walked past our table, noticed that we had left the remaining oysters, and she said “ you guys got oysters that were off, didn’t you!” The chef had clearly been notified of the bad batches, yet continued to leave them on the menu. Unacceptable and a breach to health and food regulations.
