Saddle River Cafe
Outstanding meal. Food and service are outstanding.
It was our third time at the Saddle River Cafe, each time has been exceptional. The meals are fresh and prepared perfectly. The wait staff is professional and accommodating. Will be going back in the near future.
First time but certainly not the last.
Nice atmosphere, great food and service.
food was excellent. a less expense version of Saddle River Inn
Excellent service and excellent food for a special family dinner.
Food delicious. Good service.Comfortable seating and a welcoming atmosphere..Looking forward to another visit.
Great ambiance and excellent service. Highly recommend.
The meal started on a high note, barrata apperter special was delicious, then the black bass was average at best , my wife veggie burger was like a hockey puck and the nitro coffe was flat. The evening was saved by the great service.
It was a fundraiser for the covenant house through Terrie O’Connor Realtor’s
Excellent food with great flavors. Superb service. A little noisy
Food and service were excellent. Seating by the front window was not optimal as there was no back or foot support.
I was blown away by the food. It’s pretty unassuming from the street but the food is of the highest caliber with service to match. Bonus that it was BYOB, and they were very attentive when it came to opening and pouring the wine.
We had a very nice meal here. The food and service were quite good. It’s a nice space but the lightening could be toned down a bit for dinner to make it more intimate.
This is becoming one of my favorite go to places. Food and service are way above average.
Coffee shop turned dinner venue and they made the transition seamless. BYOB is refreshing.
Revamped menu was a pleasant surprise.
Outstanding dinner, top notch food.
The tuna appetizer was outstanding as was the burger and pork.
Outstanding service and the quality of dinner was just as good as the Inn. We were blown away by our food.
A pleasant surprise (a more casual version of the Saddle River Inn next door but with the same high quality food and excellent service).
We'll definitely be back.
Meal was outstanding !!!
Food was excellent. Service was great. Chairs were slightly uncomfortable. 2 top tables were smashed in with no room.
Always delicious...always sooo accommodating...and staff so friendly. Love it!
Great food and service in a hip casual atmosphere.
Nice atmosphere, excellent service and food.
This place has great potential. Great location, creative menu. Hard surfaces make it a little noisy. I would do it again.
Outstanding experience! Ambience, food & service excellent! Andrew our server was exceptional! We’ll be back 👍
Ryan the manager was wonderful and the food was excellent
Nice would return
Great casual restaurant but with amazing chef talent and dishes. Highly recommend.
We're always anxious to try a new restaurant and I typically rely heavily on Open Table reviews to make selections. Usually, they're very accurate and this one is no exception. An excellent experience all around, with high quality food and service. My wife was especially happy with the salmon. Most definitely recommended.
Everything excellent. We had the mussels & French fries and could have just drank the broth from the pot. Outstanding.
Exceptionally slow kitchen.
Great food and service every time!
Delicious food! But our server was a bit aloof with an apparent lack of knowledge about the preparation of various menu items.
Saddle River Cafe was such a delicious and wonderful dining experience. The service was amazing as well as the food. A+++++++
We went for an early dinner on a Saturday night. It's has a casual cafe feel but the food was of a higher caliber. The Seared Tuna was fantastic and my husband had the Salmon and crab cakes which were great. The mashed fingerlings and cole slaw was so fresh and tasty. We will be returning.
Good service and good food. Small portions. A bit expensive but very good.
I had lunch here today with my 4 and 9 year old grandsons. I had the grilled cheese and side salad. It was delicious and decadent and $13. No problem. My grand sons each ordered plain pancakes. Each child got 5 very small and thin pancakes. Nothing fancy on the dish was added. I was stunned at the $14 charge EACH! That makes no sense and I will not come back based on that alone. Just because you locate yourself in Saddle River does not give you the right to charge these prices. IHOP would be better and more reasonable.
Hi Catherine, Firstly, I'm so happy you enjoyed your grilled cheese. Secondly, we are very sorry you were charged the wrong price for children's pancakes, we do have pancakes for adults and it is a much more substantial portion with a compote and that's what the price reflected. We would love the opportunity to gain your business, please come back in and have pancakes with your grandkids, my treat.
We loved our dinner at the Cafe...Same owner and quality of food as the Saddle River Inn, which of course is close to impossible to get into. This is much more casual, but we thought just as good, and we love casual. We started out with the "Roots and Fruits" Salad....which I turned my nose up to when my husband ordered it. I tasted it, and OMG it was delicious. So different and excellent. I had the skirt steak, which was the most tender skirt steak I've ever had in a restaurant. My husband had the salmon, which was cooked to perfection, he asked for it rare and it was perfect.
We will definitely go back...
