We look forward to serving you!
Mala atención. Comida mediocre.
It was a beautiful evening so we requested a table outside.
Our mistake , it was rush hour and noisy with traffic.
However , have dined outside at other times and it can be very pleasant.
Always good for omelets, avocado toast, lunch, and great coffee.
Excellent service and food. The brunch is very well done. A great variety of choices for food and drink. Everything prepared very well. The staff was extremely attentive and courteous. Would definitely return.
Lovely brunch in an upscale neighborhood. Great place for a day spent at Central Park or shopping along 5 th Avenue. Very busy. Eclectic menu- French but also a sushi bar. Order the bread basket ( not listed on menu we were given) for some of the best croissants we have had outside of Europe.beautiful downstairs special occasion room- wish I had an event to plan so I could use it!
Great service and the food was so good. We’ll be back!
Used opentable to book an impromptu Saturday brunch after having passed by this place several times. Chose outside seating on a nice day. All of the food was great. Our table was a bit wobbly and so we asked for a wedge to be put in, but the guy that put it should have been more careful as the my wife’s coffee spilled over and almost onto her. That would not have been good. Otherwise service, food and ambience was great.
NO AIR CONDITIONING. All of the doors were open to the sidewalk and it was a hot and humid night. It was very uncomfortable. If I had known that the restaurant would not be air conditioned in that heat, I would have gone somewhere else. The food was good but overall it was not a pleasant experience.
Menu was boring. I don’t think I’d be back. Sushi and Cuban Sandwiches at a French cuisine restaurant? No thanks. Not cheap. Expensive business lunch.
All good, but ambient street noise made lunch conversation very difficult.
Amazing!!! Literally anything you could want on the menu. Amazing staff, so sweet and accommodating. Will go back! Yummy yummy food for anyone!!!
The food is very good - a tad over priced but the convenience made up for it.
It was ok and very busy so the wait staff was not as attentive
We sat outside on a Sunday morning. Was a perfect weather day. Food was delicious. Bloody Mary spicy, just the way I like it. It was a bit pricey, but its NYC. Place was very busy, yet service was very good. Would definitely recommend and go back next time I am in the city.
The loud noise from banging and throwing dishes at bussing station drowned out conversations and was continuously in the background seriously disrupting the dining experience
This is quite a find -- especially at 10a on Sunday, there wasn't much of a wait. What a great spot. Thank you.
This is a great place for a good meal. There are many good choices in food and price range. The decor is French cafe and the wait staff courteous and efficient.
Don't live in NYC but go to Rue 57 nearly every trip. The service and food are always good. We love to sit close to the open doors or outside. French Onion soup is fantastic.
We had a relaxing dinner at street side table. Our server was perfect and we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine.
Good food. We had a few appetizers before a show and really enjoyed
Your cheesecake absolutely rocks the WORLD! Salmon & caesar salad were amazing also. Savignon Blanc too. 2 lunches in a row!! 🙌👍👍😁
We enjoyed two wonderful omelettes that were included with your voice if juice and coffee. A great value in a very nice restaurant in a great location.
This restaurant never disappoints. The food is fantastic as well as the service and the décor. One of my favorites for brunch in NY. I highly recommend it.
Food was subpar. This was not our impression in the past so it was disappointing
Sunday Breakfast/ Brunch. Noon reservation.
I feel this restaurant has slipped over the years. It was way too loud to carry on a conversation, a breakfast entree at 17.00 required an additional 10.00 investment for potatoes made inedible with peppers. Everything was cold when it arrived, the initial giant cup of coffee which looked so good became cold and nobody ever offered to freshen it. Worst of all, the primary ingredient of my meal seemed to be SALT. 57 used to be a mandatory stop on my visits to Manhattan. I’ll now find another venue.
Always make an effort to get to Rue 57 each time we are in the City. What a great casual atmosphere and the food & service are always first rate. Thanks for keeping the consistency there.
This place has gone WAY down hill. Food and drinks are mediocre, service is so-so and the prices are high for the overall quality of the dining experience. This was a “go to” for many years but that’s done. Go to is now “bye-bye”.
One of our favorite restaurants for several years now. The staff is always friendly and efficient, and does what they can to accommodate our seating preference. The food is delicious.
The food is always excellent. Great staff too. So much better with outdoor seating. It gets a little noisy inside. The smaller tables in the back are crammed together, so no private conversation. Also, before we asked to be seated outside, the table we had blocked in the guests next to us and we had to move our table so they could get out. Major invonveinience and safety issue having to move your table each time a guest has to get up.
Enjoyed an excellent dinner with outside dinning, food was delicious, service excellent!
Very nice experience. Hadn’t been for awhile and the restaurant has bettered with age. Had a good brunch & excellent service
Excellent breakfast spot for relaxed meetings. Usually great experience here but this time there was construction work going on that made it a bit noisy.
went on short notice.... booked thru open table.... were greeted and taken to our table in professional and very positive manner. Server did great job pointing out options. Service was quick....and were happy to slow down if that was out choice. Meat loaf on the menu was excellent! My bride's salmon also very good. fried artichokes were only good. Price/value was good for NYC. Place has a nice buzz to it. We enjoyed.
Excellent food. Best burger and fries ever!
Wide array of food choices, all delicious & very fresh. Service was excellent. A little pricey but worth the $s. Excellent location & ambiance. C’est magnifica!
I do not recommend this place. Location is good for theater goers but food is mediocre and service subpar. Ordered 1/2 dozen oysters. Got one dozen. Asked for quick service due to theater schedule. Service was sluggish and waitstaff had to be reminded. Had to wolf food down. Steak was ordered medium; arrived well done.
They accommodated our request for seating near the window which is actually an operable door. They refused to open the door for us even though the door at the table next to us was open as were the doors on the other side of the main entrance. Good food and okay wait staff, didn't go out of their way to make our experience special. If you're going to market yourself as a French restaurant consider trading your Motown jazz for some classic Aznavour on the sound system. And for God's sake add Ararat Brandy to your Cognac offerings.
We went for brunch. I am sure the environment would have been better, but they had a contractor cutting stone or metal to fix an area. It was very annoying and loud to have this going on during our time there since it was a high pitched sound and I could barely hear anyone at my table speak. Everything else was very nice. The food was good and the wait staff was attentive. We would recommend the place to friends, but encourage repairs to the restaurant be made before or after hours if impacting customers experience.
French onion soup was great. Kobe meatloaf amazing. Overall, nic settings. Will visit again
We really enjoyed our meal at Rue 57! While we do feel it is a bit overpriced for the meal we had we recognize it is in a popular area and has a great atmosphere. The food tasted great- we had a salad, burger and bread pudding! Our server was excellent, checked on us regularly.
