About Rosetta Ristorante - Crown Melbourne
Neil Perry is the creative force behind Rosetta, a sophisticated and elegant Italian ristorante that combines an impressive dining room with professional and authentic service.
At the heart of Rosetta’s fast-paced kitchen is a wood fired oven and char-grill for creating simple Italian dishes such as suckling pig, roast chicken and wood fired suckling lamb. Pasta is also a major feature of the menu, with a dedicated la sfoglina making over 12 different kinds each day. As with all Rockpool Group restaurants, wine is an important part of Rosetta’s offering, the list featuring varietals from both Italy and Australia.
Designed by renowned Australian designer Iain Halliday “...Rosetta is the place where people will meet to be fed from the heart ? just like Italians love to do for their family and friends ? whether it be a special celebratory dinner or a leisurely Sunday lunch in the sun,” says Neil.

Rosetta Ristorante - Crown Melbourne Ratings and Reviews
The ambience is relaxed and elegant and the staff are very friendly courteous and helpful. The Italian food we ordered was absolutely delicious and the drinks including Prosecco and white wine went very well with the meal. We had two gluten free guests and the wait staff were very helpful with suggestions and accomodating their dietary needs.
It was lovely to be spoilt and enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon lunch on a cold rainy Melbourne day. Thank you so much Rosetta's.
I was honestly disappointed. We had the lunch special and the snapper was too salty.
I took some business clients there and was expecting a top notch service. Instead we got completely ignored as soon as we ordered the lunch special.
Food was okay but not a memorable experience overall.
Food was fast but bad. For such an high -end Italian restaurant there was abs NO GF Pasta options.
Only had one on the menu. Which was lamb cutlets in which the waiter din mention regarding medium -well done. Hence the meat was still bloody to our liking.
Pasta was tasteless.
Dessert was over price and abs horrible !
I booked Rosetta for a special occasion for my mothers birthday. I was contacted the week beforehand and organised a cake and this was very easy.
Upon arrival we were welcomed and my mother was wished happy birthday! Taken straight to our wonderful table and we requested a Bellini which was to die for!!!
Mel was our waitress and she explained the menu very well and we opted for her suggestions which were perfect! Manu our som did a perfect job as did Diana! Thank you all for making it perfect
Sunday lunch at Rosetta was wonderful. Shared the meatballs and special entree of scallops to start with, both were divine. Had the osso bucco and pork chop special with a side of the crispy potatoes which satisfied us indeed. Managed to squeeze in the chocolate, coconut and peanut semifreddo to end a splendid lunch. Wine and service fantastic.
It was a special occasion for us. We were greeted immediately on arrival and seated. Lovely enthusiastic wait staff very keen to help with choices if asked. Food was exceptional quality. No long waits between courses but not rushed either.
We had a lovely evening and felt well looked after.
Hosts were great and welcomed when entered. Well informed about my mother's birthday dinner. Only thing that let our experience down was the service or lack of.
After mains were finished, waiter did not ask whether we wanted dessert or table not cleared. After 35 mins of waiting, I asked the waitress for the bill and was advised that, the waiter looking after our section, would bring this to me. After another 10 minutes this was brought to the table. Experience of Rosetta was quite disappointing
So disappointed. Drove 400kms to visit this restaurant on reputation. It was our 20th Wedding anniversary. First time to Rosetta's. We thought we would save this restaurant experience for a very special occasion. We love our Italian food but haven't stopped talking about what we received for dinner to be honest. To organise getting here for last Saturday night was a big deal, so to say we were crushed with the memory we take away from our 20th anniversary dinner, would be an understatement.
I came to Melbourne with my mum, sister and daughter(2yo). We had booked Rosetta in advance and was looking forward to a lovely restaurant experience. From the moment we walked into Rosetta we all felt very uncomfortable, we were seated without much fuss and given the menus. Specials were read out without much enthusiasm and our order was taken. The food was not very special and we walked out of there 1 hour later and still quite hungry. The whole experience was unmemorable. Will never recommend
I've always loved this restaurant for its ambiance and flair. The food is always extremely well prepared ( seasoning on point) and superbly presented. The staff are always attentive without being overbearing , friendly and knowledgeable. The only criticism I'd have is that the main courses on the set lunch menu should at least have the hint of a side dish with them.
All up again a memorable culinary experience!
Went to Rosetta second time last night for Hubby's birthday, we were all pleased as usual.
My friend had the special dish of the night which was the 400g pork chop, bone on. The meat was a little tough, but I guess you do expect that when order a big and thick piece of meat.
Service and Food are very good as always, will definitely return.
Service was top notch. The meals we ordered were great. Tuna carpaccio and grilled prawns for starters. The gnocchi with lamb shanks was delicious. I got the wagyu rump which i got medium which was the only disappointment of the evening. The meat wasnt tender but quite chewy and not what youd expect from a 50 buck steak. And the highlight was the dessert with the first option just amazing! Best dessert ive had anywhere! Id recommend this place to others for sure.
From start to finish Rosetta's is the ultimate dining experience. The service is flawless, food is sublime and wonderful wines from which to choose. We dined here last year and came back because of the fabulous experience we enjoyed then. And we weren't disappointed with a second visit, and will be back for more. Still can't believe the exceptional grilled flounder was only $35. Staff are just amazing. Thank you.
