Rosa Mexicano - Los Angeles
We LUV coming to Rosa Mexicano every time we come to L.A. Their fresh table side guacamole is incredible!!
I even ordered an extra one to bring home.
Wish we had one of these in Orange 🍊 County.
Everything is always delicious!!
We had such an over priced and disappointing meal here which was more embarrassing considering we were taking out a high profile client before their appearance at the Grammy Museum. I have also complained directly with the restaurant but have not heard back which is disappointing. This was an overpriced, inedible, poor quality meal with poor service and we will never attend again. I do not recommend this restaurant and considering their competition in the area, I don't believe they will last long.
The server was great very good his atention! But the food arrive late! But the manager say sorry for time we wite for the food!
We had a group of 9. Service was a bit slow do to a private event at the bar which was closed off to everyone. It would have been nice to hire additional staff and provide adequate service for customers dinning in.
Everything was quite average - equivalent to a nice airport lounge dinner
Service is always slow
Great food and drinks
We had 9 people for a birthday dinner.
- we were seated 30 minutes after our reservation
- the floor was covered in food. Not just under the tables but everywhere. I watched as multiple employees walked over an avocado skin for an hour before I finally picked it up so no one would fall.
- the food when served was cold
- I waited thirty minutes to get a glass for water, had to ask for enough table settings for the party
- surprised that burritos not on menus
- Guacamole is great
Maybe a someplace to go for drinks and snack, but not a great place for a dinner.
Smallest portions ever. Left hungry and spent a lot of money on decent food but not enough of it. Over priced drinks. Had to eat after I left this place.
Place is a joke. Should be condemned
Overpriced. Waited 45 minutes to get food. Tacos really poor, especially considering the price. The tortillas were dry and cold.
This is the second time I've come to Rosa Mexicano. Maybe the first time I didn't notice how slow the service was because we were in a large group and we just enjoyed the company and spending time together. But this second time, I was really disappointed. We came early, two hours before the Laker game. We had reservations, but there were lots of empty table and they still took about 15 minutes to seat us. Took about 10 minutes before a waiter came to our table. Brought water out without ice, had to ask multiple times for ice before he finally brought it out. Our meals took about 45 minutes to come out. Seems like they do not have their act together, waiter kept telling us that our meals were coming, but we kept waiting. I was really impressed the first time I came, the food was good, service was decent. This time was very bad, I would not recommend unless they get their act together.
The service was personable and professional. The carnitas were excellent, some of the best we’ve had. Loved the guacamole.
We ordered appetizers and it took over 30 minutes to get it and it was wrong. We were there for dinner before a hockey game. We usually order the strawberry margaritas and they have always been delicious. This night they were frozen clumps or strawberry purée, bitter clumps. The waiters response was to bring more strawberry purée to go with the clumps😫. Left without eating dinner. Don’t think we will be back
If you've been to the New York locations don't base this location on those. The food was good but not as great as the New York locations we go to frequently. Our waiter was a doll.
A terrible dining experience from beginning to end.
Seated promptly. Drinks ok. But, food service extremely slow, incorrect, and not hot when served. Mens bathroom flooded and urinals inoperable. Was I in Tijuana?
Food was very good, but it took way too long for our dinner to be prepared and delivered to us
We arrived to the restaurant 10min early for our reservation and got seated right away, but we sat at our table for 20min and one came to greet us and take a drink order, I had to walk to the front to ask for our waiter. Once our waiter finally showed up he did seem interested in taking our order, once we finally ordered our food and drinks, we did get our drinks and starters quick, but our main dish took 40 minutes for fish tacos and a asada plate. I thought because we ordered the asada plate that’s what made take long but the couple that sat next to us ordered the same plate got there food before us and they came 1hr after we sat. Finally when our food came the tacos were cold and the asada plate was not complete. The food was good but the service was the worst
Food was very good. Service very slow. Approximately 45 minutes for entree from ordering. No server attention for additional drinks, etc. Restaurant was very crowded in their defense. The server came by twice saying meal was coming out. But even then, it was 20 or more minutes.
Was a great place to have a good meal before a Laker Game. I highly trimmers havving a reservation. The table guacamole and the carnitas was delicious.
Appetizers and main courses are very delicious as well as the margaritas! And service was very nice and quick!
Just overall service not good. Very slow service. Just not a good experience.
service very slow, sat us by the door on a cold night. Food and cocktails excellent.
We had a large group of 14, so separated into 3 tables, worked out just fine. From the moment go, each course was delicious! Every table started with sample ceviches (very good), guacamole prepared table side (excellent!), chips & salsa (perfect) and a variety of specialty drinks. Everyone enjoyed their own main course, didn't hear one complaint (rare with that many people) and then a wide variety of desserts. Hand on heart, the churros with raspberry and chocolate dipping sauces was heavenly.
This was our second time visiting this restaurant and I have to say, it was even better than the first. The food is fantastic, the service is impeccable, and the ambience is one of a kind. All the food choices are great, and the prices are reasonable too. I didn’t know but beans and rice and bottomless :) we made sure to order an extra side :)
Nice Ambience, delicious food and drinks. Service was great!!
Really nice looking place but the food was definitely not appetizing. Should have gone to El Cholo near by to have a more authentic Mexican dinner with my family.
Great drinks, but they have a lot to make up on their culinary side. The options were limited and small. For the price tag, you'd think you'd be getting more. The restaurant wasn't crowded, however, it still took forever to get any items that we ordered.
I used to be a big fan of this restaurant back when it opened many years ago. I have to say that the food was disappointing as well as the drinks... Go e down hill and no longer quality.
Service was great though
Service was very slow. Bathroom was filthy and food was not worth the price. And the drink was $16 and watered down with ice!! I won't be back.
The only great thing was it was a warm spot on a cold rainy night. The food was fine but ridiculously expensive. The waiter got both our drink and food order wrong and btw, the margarita was 90% ice. Nothing to make up for it, just a crazy high bill for some street tacos and a bowl of corn.
Too many great places in DTLA- we won’t be back.
The food is SO DELICIOUS, however the service is lousy. It's not my first visit to Rosa Mexicano @ LA Live, and each time I've gone, I've hoped that it would get better, but sadly, it will likely be my last visit.... It's so disappointing, I've had other friends who feel the same too, great food, but horrible service. We had a reservation, but upon arrival we waited close 10 min to get sat. Then we waited 10 min to get greeted, at which time we were given 2 water cups, yet there were 3 of us, so we asked for a 3rd glass, which never came (20 minutes later we asked a different server and were given one). When our server finally greeted us, he took a drink order and we ordered some guacamole, and we got the margarita and guacamole within a reasonable time, but then our server didn't come back for our food order for 15 minutes.....he was no where to be found....when our food arrived one of the items was incorrect, it took nearly 10 minutes for our server, or anyone to stop by to see if everything was going well, and I was actively looking for help, numerous staff walked by, avoiding eye contact....when I explained what had happened, he offered to re-make the dish, but we then had to wait a while to get that dish, and we were still charged for it.....it was busy, but there were lots of empty tables, and lots of people working who were moving slowly and inattentive.
I wish the service were even slightly better, perhaps if they had better management, that knew how to train/supervise the front of house staff this place would be one of the best LA restaurants, it has that potential. Instead it feels like a bunch of lazy slow poke college kids who have never been trained, and could care less about giving good service.
The food deserves to be at this price point, but as a customer, you feel taken advantage of in paying the price, when the service is so unaccommodating.
The server was not attentive. The food did not come out for everyone at the same time.
We love Rosa Mexicano ! The guacamole made to order table side is a must! The food is consistently good. The staff is also consistently friendly and the servers are very knowledgeable about the menu. This restaurant hasn’t let us down yet.
Very slow service. Should’ve been much quicker since there a restaurant that is near staples Center and then people are going to the game. Really was annoying
I would never go back to this restaurant. there were so many bad things, culminating I the bad food, that I would NEVER go back
Meh! Food quality has diminished. Guacamole was average. Service was ok. Not what I excepted for the money.
I’ve been going to this restaurant for 8-9 years 2-3 times a year when I’m in LA for fun or business. I’ve always given it straight 5s. Unfortunately they drastically changed their menu, everything I like is gone except the provided chips and salsa. Sadly, that was my last time dining there. Very frustrating. It’s frustrating when I loose a favorite restaurant.
Went for AMAs — Food was good but not enough staff. So the service really suffered. It affected the whole dinner.
Appears to be going out of business.
