Very unfortunate experience. Arrived 630pm, was going to a show at 8pm. Should have been plenty of time. Not crowded. Wait staff seemed confused as to who was going to serve us. Food and drinks arrived sporadically and very slowly. As others have noted, they don't serve everyone at once, they bring food out as it is ready. This makes for an awkward experience unless everyone is sharing.
When they still hadn't brought out one person's food and one round of drinks at 7:50, we asked to have those things taken off the check. Instead, they gave us the food to go and put beers in front of us - - as we were putting our jackets on.
I really like the food, but I won't be back.
This was by far the best restaurant I’ve tried in New Brunswick. I would highly recommend it for lunch!
The food and drinks are worth coming to this restaurant for. Absolutely 5 star for food and drinks. HOWEVER- the service is always super slow unless they are bringing out your food. Your food will never spend any time sitting in the window waiting to be picked up, that's always the speediest part. Every other part from first taking your order to getting drinks and refills to boxing up your food to getting the check is very slow. They only check on you if they bring your food or if you manage to grab their attention. The food is worth the wait if you have good company and the time to hang out and are patient.
Meal was nice and enjoyed the atmosphere!
Been there a couple of times. The food is real good. It’s a cool place. Good cocktails. But the service was odd and not good. Better service and this would be a great place
The double fried wings were everything we expected them to be. Delicious. Spicy tuna roll was one of the best ones we’ve tried. Bulgogi was also amazing. French fries were extremely salty and not worth it. Service was absolute crap though. Seemed like there was no system on who was supposed to do what. Took about 5 mins before someone even came to the front to seat us, same girl wound up being our server also, which took 15 mins for her to come back. Then had to ask other multiple people just for the check. From the time we finished eating to the time we finally got the check and paid was another 40 mins on top of the hour and 20 mins we were already there! And it wasn’t crazy busy.
Never been to this location, was very good service was not as good but food was
Server was very friendly and the good as always was good.
Didn’t even get to eat because apparently the kitchen was already closed by 9PM even though the restaurant itself is open until 12 and that makes absolutely no sense. If the kitchen closes earlier than the restaurant they should make that very clear on their website so that people don’t show up to be very disappointing. I don’t even want to try again to go eat there anymore.
Nice food, great service and good value for money
It is always a warning sign when a restaurant isn’t clean and unfortunately on this occasion is smelled unclean and the floors were sticky.
We have eaten many times and although the food has been consistently OK, I struggle with the lack of ambiance.
Have been there several times and always a great experience. I brought my son, a wing fanatic, and he loved the wings and wants to go back.
Cute place with a nice vibe. Food was delicious. Drinks however were a bit overpriced for what you get.
The double fried chicken wings are a must!!! They didn't take as long as the menu says (maybe it depends on the crowd. Great ambiance and food (loved the snow corn roll). Not much else to say but a new favorite for me.
Great food. Wings are delicious and fried rice dishes very flavorful.
Food was great , service was slow and they seemed to not have a good system for who was suppose to come to the table . Drinks were slow to get to us but very delicious. If you are patient it’s an good place .
This place has a great menu and the food was delicious. Cocktails were pricey compared to other restaurants in the area but they were yummy none the less. The service was ok but could have been a lot better. Our server seemed stoned or just totally out of it. She forgot about serving our main dish!
Love this menu, not limited but not overwhelming...clearly allows the kitchen to focus on making a tasty, visually appealing & consistent dish.
Very informal setting & comforting ambiance (tall ceilings, big space) to allow for a fun (dare I say loud) conversation without disturbing other guests or being disturbed.
And if you're up to it (and who isn't?), the karaoke is a perfect way to round out the evening after you've had a drink or two!
I like the setting in Westfield a bit more than the layout in New Brunswick...not necessarily a criticism, just the reality of having a sister restaurant: you compare the two!
There aren't many restaurants that consistently exceed (or even meet for that matter) my expectations. And you ALWAYS do. Everything is perfect!
very nice vibe.....good drinks and appetizers. i would visit again
Yum! Savory, crispy, mouthwatering fried chicken. Great beer selections, mixed drinks a bit pricey but tasty. I The wings/chicken could use some dipping sauce. I guess I'm use to buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing for dipping. We also had the delicious kimchi pajeon, a scallion pancake. The ambiance is industrial chic. For some tables, the metal chairs are pretty uncomfortable. I'll definitely come here again and try some other dishes.
Food is always good and a cool environment for a dinner and drinks.
Had a great time, food was good, wish they had more options far as the drink menu. I loved the décor and the DJ in the middle of restaurant was a nice touch.
I love the food here. Every time I come, I am consistently pleased. The fried chicken is incredible, and will be going back for it again! The drink menu is also pretty fun, and has something for everyone!
Valentines Day, nice night out. Lovely specials. The food was delicious and creative. Great presentation, good service, nicely decorated!
We went early and were happily surprised by a great happy hour menu. We tried the Roosterspin Fries and the Bulgogi sliders. Both were awesome. We also tried the fried chicken (very good-the spicy is almost too spicy) and the R-waffle...delicious. We ended with the kimchi Fried Brown Rice. It was the only thing that was not good. The rice was hard as a rock...just not cooked enough. The waitress told us it was supposed to be on the hard side since it’s pan fried, but we could not get past the crunch of the hard grains. The waitress was awesome and took it off the bill. Both of us had “The Springsteen” drink which was delicious. I’d definitely go back!
Rooster Spin is a fun concept with an excellent ambience.
The menu was interesting with some fun Korean-American executions
The food was good and would have been great if it was authentic to Korean culinary disciplines.
The service was disconnected which would have made the experience more fun especially to explain the more unusual and interesting dishes.
Went for dinner on a Saturday night date. The food was fantastic, the service was awesome and the ambience was super enjoyable. Dj started playing around 10 and the music was so good that we stayed for more cocktails after dinner. 10/10
Our waiter Jack was excellent. I love the fried chicken. So tasty. Mango salad and stone bowl were fantastic. Great spot.
I love the Tempura cheese curds and the double fried chicken. Great specialty drinks. They have 2 karaoke rooms that are great for small parties.
Me & my husband enjoy the food, space, & service. Brought our kids & their favorite dishes were spider roll, steamed pork buns, corn dog, & double fried chicken. The mango salad is solid as well, but that’s my favorite not the kids.
We recommend Roosterspin to our family & friends.
We are fans of The Westfield location and thought we would try this location as we’re in town to see a show. The food was of the same delicious quality but the service was poor. We were the only ones in the restaurant (5:30 pre show reservations) and the staff of 6 seemed not really interested in waiting on us and were not very friendly.
They have the best fried chicken I have ever had. Go with the spicy. I also had their corn. It is to die for. I don't understand why the place was not completely full. This restaurant is right across the street from the train station. Good for a pre-theatre dinner.
Food exceptional. Great service. Wonderful ambience. Can't wait to go back!
We go for the wings which are excellent. However, we may have to think again. Service was poor and very noisy (and we went off hours!) Drinks small and expensive.
A little expensive but overall very good experience. Would go back. Need to try the fried chicken.
The food was very good, and the place was lively, but the service was unreasonably and inexplicably slow. I think it was just our server because another waitperson served several tables, including a table for 14, with apparent ease and efficiency, and the bus staff were on the job. We enjoyed the fried pork dumplings, and the spicy tuna roll was soft and fresh and big enough to share without feeling unsatisfied. The bibimbap with bulgogi and egg was flavorful and a heaping helping, also plenty to share. I was not a fan of the chicken gizzards, but I was predisposed to dislike them; as gizzards go, they were edible and nicely prepared with cloves of garlic and a few roasted peppers. I was not as wowed as I was last year this time, but it is an interesting menu and ambiance and I will visit again.
Had a great time! Our Server, Isabelle S was so awesome! She had fabulous recommendations and great personality! Thank you Isabelle for making our first of many date nights to Roosterspin absolutely amazing!
It was our first time there, and my husband and I had a phenomenal experience all-around from the food to our server, the hostess, and the ambiance. Love, love, loved it and will definitely be returning. We have already told all our friends how wonderful the experience was. We had the double fried wings, the Yuzu salad and the garlic fried rice. All were absolutely delectable. Unfortunately they did not have dessert wine which was on the dessert wine menu for us to try which was a disappointment since it was only 7pm on a Saturday night. Would love to try that as well. We also plan to come back on a later night to hear the DJ and enjoy the music and late night crowd, as well as the karaoke rooms!
The food was excellent, shared plates so we were able to try many different delicious dishes
