They were very busy and maybe slightly understaffed for a Saturday evening. So service was not as good as previous visits. Fortunately we weren’t in a big rush and used the wait time for ordering and then waiting for our food to come out for conversation.
The food was great as always!
We are regulars and are never sorry to go. The BYOB policy (Hope it continues!) really increases the ability to enjoy decent wine at a fair price. Staff go the extra distance to please.
Not our best experience at Roma Trattoria, our top 2 items that we selected on the menu were no longer available and the third item they admitted to not having all of the ingredients after taking the order....but the food we did order was very tasty and they did the right thing and did not charge us for the items that were short...the complimentary tiramisu tasted better than ever...
We like Roma very much. Go their at least twice a month. Food and service is always good. A few times we had to wait a little while for our food but we had two bottles of our wine so we did not mind just more time to visit with our friends plus it was worth the wait to have authentic freshly cooked Italian food.
Roma has by far the best food of all the local byob Italian restaurants in our area.
We truly enjoy this restaurant, the staff, and the absolutely amazing cuisine. With the BYOB option, we get the best of both worlds, our wine with their authentic Italian food.
The meal was delicious! There were 4 in our party and everyone's food was perfect. Also it is BYOB so that is always a plus!!
All was good overall. Nice small place in a shopping center that does not lend itself to great ambiance. Food was good at least for the price. NO ALCOHOL sales of any kind. BYOB only and they intend to keep it that way. Probable one and done type restaurant as they were nothing special.
Neighborhood restaurant feel
Great food nice atmosphere!
We’ve been twice now and both times the entire experience has been wonderful. My husband complimented the meatballs and Chef Tony said he wasn’t happy with them and had made them better. As we were ordering our meal, Chef Tony came out with a plate of two meatballs on a bed of ricotta, red sauce and drizzled with evoo! Delish!! Love the bruchette so much I made a meal of it! So far, every dish has been very tasty. Just felt that the Chicken Marsala needed a boost in flavor, but other than that, a great experience. The servers are friendly and efficient! Loved Letti!! She’s someone I want to know!!
We took friends to dinner to celebrate their anniversary. The food was very good. The staff was extremely friendly and the service was great. We enjoyed our evening there.
Worst Italian feed I have ever had. They were out of veal, the reason we went. The antipasto was nothing like the picture. It was missing all the cheese, ham and some meats and honey as pictured. Will not recommend or go there again. I think your rating is inflated by the restaurant employees.
We have eaten there several times and the food is very consistent. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken is tremendous but needs seasoning. I wish the bread was warm but while the food is a little slow coming out you can tell it’s being cooked to order. Look forward to trying pizza next time since they’ve gotten a pizza oven installed. Recommend highly fir a nice local feel Italian place. Small and intimate.
The food was really good. The servers were nice but the service was REALLY slow - it seemed understaffed. The only reason I won't come back is the noise level. If acoustical tiles are installed in the ceiling or an outdoor patio is created, I would definitely try it again.
Best and most authentic Italian food we have eaten since we lived in Italy.
A quiet neighborhood gem. Food is excellent. Easy to get a table. Service was very friendly and attentive. They saw from my OpenTable reservation that it was for a special birthday and gave us a nice table as I'd requested. They then went the extra mile and served the birthday guest a special dessert with a candle and sang to her. Very, very much appreciated but not expected!
I think it depends on what you order. I ordered chicken with roasted potatoes and my husband ordered chicken Marsala. He loved his plate but my potatoes were not really roasted. It was overall a 4 out of 5 restaurant.
Just not sure what to say about aroma Trattoria. The food was tasty for the most part but a far far cry from authentic. My Caesar salad was overwhelmed with more Parmesan than lettuce and who would even think to add balsamic vinegar to Caesar salad dressing. My gnocchi had a tasty sauce, but the gnocchi was the same packaged little nuggets you can buy at Kroger so a bit of a disappointment. The service was high on friendliness but void of professionalism. Perhaps, some people like that as they had a nice crowd. I did appreciate the BYOB policy as so many restaurants these days are charging $15 for a decent glass of wine. I would rather bring my own. The television in the dining room was a super turn-off for me. Two things that could definitely spoil a meal is having to hear a hemorrhoid commercial while staring at your Caesar salad or listening to Tucker Carlson. Both of which happened. I think with a little effort, this could be an enjoyable place for a meal, but they really need to improve the ambience and use more finesse in their cooking. I love going to individually owned restaurants so I hope this one makes it.
Food was very good!
Food was excellent again. Screaming small child for 30 minutes was really not good.
The food was delicious but the service was horrible. No one was rude or anything like that, in fact they were all really sweet. They just had no clue how to wait tables. People were standing up front for quite sometime waiting to be seated while the servers slowly and tediously set up a new table. We didn't have a server, we had ALL the servers. They all thought the other had done this or that or was helping this table or that table, everything was slow and it was just a mess. They had all of the sat tables grouped up front by the door when half of the restaurant was empty. Like I said, the food was really good but the service...………...no thanks.
I took my wife here for Mothers Day. Overall very good, the food was excellent at a great price the service was very slow in terms of drink refills and checking on the table. But the server was polite and helpful with menu questions. I will happily be back and most likely a regular.
Amazing food. Absolutely horrible service.... It ruined my Mother’s Day.
First of all, the food was amazing. There was 7 of us, and we all had different meals. Everything was so tasty and fresh! Service was a bit slow, but they comp'd us some appetizers to make up for that. But to be fair, it was Mothers Day, so it was clearly more crowed than usual. Oh, and its currently BYOB. Will definitely go back again. Recommended.
The food was excellent. The waiter Jesse was attentive and had a great personality. It was an extremely pleasant experience and we will be back.
Our family tried this place for Sunday brunch on Easter. Although we were the first three people there, it took over 5 minutes for anyone to come to our table. And it went downhill from there. Food was bland and over priced. Service was poor. Wouldn’t recommend or return.
Excellent food in a clean, airy environment. Wait staff are accommodating though don't talk much and should be instructed to be more friendly. Don't forget the BYOB policy!
Some of the reviews concerned me but they seemed to have a common thread. 1) The restaurant tries too hard to make people happy that are not enjoying their experience (not a terrible thing); 2) there may be some spice (like Cilantro) that tastes off to some people. 3) Know ahead of time this is a BYOB place. With all the essential information, a Friday night prime time reservation, 4 bottles of wine and a couple mini bottles of Crown and Vodka I gathered my party of six and we gave it a try. They were crowded and it took a while to get our appetizers and food but everything was worth the wait and the price. Service was excellent meaning available but not intrusive. No one had anything that tasted off. Everything was excellent we will definitely go back !
Should have wine glasses on table. Waitress chewing gum. Should not have TV. Could improve bread quality . Do not put glasses upside down. Please correct these aspects as you will go broke otherwise.
Michael is an outstanding server! He's quick to get you whatever you need AND he does it all with a smile! We just adore him and always ask for him.
For the ambiance: they need some cafe curtains on the lower half of the windows to make the restaurant more 'finished'. The glare from lights and the traffic from Cooper is a buzz kill ... half cafe curtains would solve this issue.
It's BYOB so don't forget your wine to go with the yummy food!
We have visited Roma Trattoria several times, lunch and dinner. Nice that it is BYOB. The food is never disappointing, but we wish the Chicken Picatta that is served at lunch would be served at dinner - it is fabulous! Everyone enjoyed the meal, especially the lobster ravioli..
We enjoyed our meals as usual and certainly will be back again. They are often less expensive than other Italian restaurants in the area.
Excellent restaurant. Service was fast, warm and friendly. The lobster ravioli in a pink sauce was delicious! There were seven of us in the group and we unanimously agreed that it was a worth another visit.
The service was a mess.
The atmosphere just wasn't that appealing to our group. Service, food, and value were good.
Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!
we have eaten there on multiple occasions and have always been pleased
It was our first time to dine at Roma Trattoria and we had a thoroughly delightful experience. The food was quite authentic and we enjoyed every bit of it. Our server, Michael, was so much fun and quite knowledgeable about the menu. All in all we truly enjoyed our dinner and look forward to returning to Roma Trattoria!
Great neighborhood spot with BYOB.
Entrees have good depth of flavors and menu has numerous options.
Love the fact that we can bring wine.
