Our staff will entice you to relax within the sophisticated decor which enhances the original bank building. The menu is innovative, evolving and provocative, matching the sophisticated wine and beverage selection.
Great experience. Padding on chairs would help. The sweet and sour calamari was amazing.
I have always had a great experience at Rocks but it was a bit disappointing this time. Whilst the service was good and the wait staff excellent, we were being served by multiple staff and so there was some confusion as to what we had already ordered. My crab pasta was lacking crab - which could have been because 4 people on our table ordered it and I got the last portion from the pan! Plus the thai seafood curry had gone up in price and down in seafood content.
I hope it was just an off-day for them and not the new norm.
We had a fantastic Valentine’s Day, the service was outstanding and they even added a candle to the table like I had requested
Drinks good, food was average. 2 years ago it was much better. $ for food wasn’t worth it.
Stunning food and drink in a wonderful atmosphere, but then the staff go and make it 10 times better with their friendly and inviting approach
Angel hair pasta was an over cooked mash. When I complained the chef had the arrogance to send the waiter back with the same dish stating that this is how the dish is served. I have eaten at this restaurant 4 times and have always enjoyed it but this time it was not up to scratch. I would however like to thank our waiter who went out of his way to please us.
We were disappointed this was our second visit and the quality and variety of the food was not as good as our first visit
We had the $65.00 degustation
We also had to pay 20% Sunday surcharge
We were not advised prior that this would occur
We will not be coming back or recommend the restaurant
The waiter was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
Food was hit and miss. First 3 dishes were excellent but went down from there. Was surprised that macroni and cheese was part of the $65 course . On a positive note, Excellent service. Would try something different next time.
Food beautiful - couldn't fault.
Staff friendly but service slow - water glasses often empty and took a long time to receive main meal.
Side dishes overpriced for what we received.
Very disapointed. Was my partner’s 50th birthday. Food was good but menu said LARGE serv clearly yellow curry seafood was not a large serv. Air con was not on?
On entry, not greeted. Staff were to busy socialising among themselves. We found our own drinks menu. No one had a clue about our booking. We were sat at an non dressed table with new menu placed in front of us with no explanation. We ordered french champagne and when asked about our drink, the words used ‘how are the LP’s going?, awesome Dudes’ with an animated thumbs up.
The meals were tasty enough to redeem the uneducated service. With such terrible service given I questioned the waitress. New owners. Therefore I wish the new team all the best as the food is promising and matched back with a front of house system it could be a pleasant dining experience.
Was absolutely perfect. The staff were incredible & extremely knowledgeable about the produce they were serving which was absolutely delicious. The cocktails were fun & also fabulous & will definitely be coming back here again
As is expected Rocks on Rosalind provided another epic food experience. Great 5 course degustation with local wines. Beautifully presented plates, lovely service and full attention to our comfort and needs.
The last time few times we dined there we loved the food. This time the food was bland, boring and stone cold. A few drinks and good conversation made for a good night. For the price I expect to have an inspired flavourful experience. The food was a disappointment.
We were met by a smiling waitress, who show us to our table.
We were visiting for our anniversary and they wished us all the best for the evening and our anniversary.
Our waiter introduced himself, who was also the restaurant manager, he was bright and very funny.
We ordered the tasting banquet and the food was delicious. We had a very enjoyable evening and a great way to celebrate our special occasion.
We will definitely be back as it was a great evening.
We have come here for New Years every year for the last 5 or 6 years and additionally for several other occasions.
The food was always fantastic, this time not so much.
Staff said they were in transition?
It appeared the staff have been asked to push the banquet/shared menu which was off putting.
The real killer for us was after we ordered our own menu items we ended up with four dishes on the table at once. Lucky we didn't ask for matched wines or we would have had half a dozen glasses on the table as well.
Don't know where the direction of the restaurant is heading but we're not fans, please go back to the fantastic place it was.
The food was amazing and can't find any fault in the service. However my husband and I ordered tasters to share, all were well presented and tasty. My issue is we ordered the Lobster and received little Morton Bay bugs, yet the price was the same on the bill.
I suggest you either serve Lobster tails or let the patron now that it is only Morton Bay bugs but for the same price.
Great food, excellent service. Lovely way to start New Years Eve.
The food was lovely but was much less than we expected. Steak was served by itself with some caramelised onion, no other sides and still cost $34. Zucchini flower was tiny! Only ordered 1 because from other experiences one serving included two but maybe shouldn’t have presumed. The food tasted lovely but I won’t eat here again. I’m happy to pay good money for good food but this was disappointing, we chose to come here after an amazing meal several month earlier and were both let down. The old menu was much more satisfying.
Rocks on Rosalind has amazing and inventive food, an incredible original cocktail list and friendly staff.
The share menu had quite a good selection and everything we choose was really tasty. The service wasn't the best. We sat in the main resturant for our meal and went downstairs to the "cellar" for a drink afterwards. It was quite hot in the main resturant which given the weather that wasn't a surprise but I think in summer it would best to see if you could get a table in the cellar.
Excellent menu with some very innovative ideas, which were well executed. Prices were very reasonable. Bar staff were able to make cocktails easily that weren’t on the menu.
Amazing quality of food and great service to match, we're glad we came and we'll be back - I don't usually love oysters but we got the tasting menu and it was my favourite in the first course (of 3 other seafood dishes). You can tell the produce has been treated with the utmost respect and flavours were varied and delicious! Thank you.
The lunch menus was very limited and not good value. They try to push you towards the tasting menu, but not everyone wants that and just want to chose one. Lunch option.
We come for every anniversary every year and we love Rocks for the amazing to die for food and the best customer service ever! This time I was pregnant and couldn't try all items and the chefs were amazing and gave us extra of items that I could and my partner was still able to experience everything on the tasting banquet then for himself. Bendigo is so lucky to have this amazing restaurant, thanks everyone.
We went to Rocks 2 yrs ago a couple of times and still remember the food- it was mouthwatering. This recent visit was NOTHING in comparison to how it used to be😢
We had a pleasant enough evening, but it was a special occasion (birthday celebration) and that was noted in the booking. Not acknowledged in any way by staff. Felt that though the food was tasty, it was overpriced. We were expecting a very special night out and were a little disappointed. Also think that a dessert added to the banquet style meals would be a nice finish.
We had the 7 course special that was offered for $95 a head.
The last dish being lamb was the only dish worth eating.
The ‘prawn’ was terrible
Certainly would not consider ever trying that style dining again which is disappointing as I have had the tasting towers on the main menu which is delicious and value for money.
First 4 dishes came out reasonably quick then had to wait 40 minutes for a shared steak!? Overall dishes were warm to cool, not much flavor! For $150+ for 2 people it was very disappointing
absolutely perfect, fantastic service couldn't be faulted, well presented and delicious food. Place to go to for a perfect meal and night.
Exceptional dining experience at one of my favourite restaurants in Australia (and I do cover quite a bit of ground on my travels).
I always make a gap in my travels to find my way to this gem in the goldfields.
Quality local produce, superb wine list and service that makes me smile every time.
A special occasion for us which was noted on our arrival and certainly appreciated. We selected various courses from the extensive menu and were not disappointed...the food came out in a order that was not rushed however timely.
The courses that we selected were outstanding and will also compliment the table service.
We were that impressed that we will make a booking in the new year for six. Well done R.O.R.

Great atmosphere. Food will suit a foodie who likes to branch out of the norm. Didn’t feel like the $65 tasting banquet was value for money. Was disappointing to be told that there was no steak available when ordering at 7pm - there hadn’t been time to run out as yet, surely. We were there for a special occasion celebration but for the price across the 4 of us, I would have preferred to be able to walk away with a feeling of that being the best food ever eaten but, sadly, it just really wasn’t.
Food was good one dish the king pawn. Don’t know what the did but it was awful. Otherwise rest of the gistation 7 course was very good
We came across this restaurant purely by chance. What an absolute delight to find a restaurant of this calibre in Bendigo. The level of service could not be faulted, the food was amazing and the wine list was excellent. We are normally quite fussy but we were very happy with our night out at Rocks on Rosalind.
Wonderful experience. We were in quite a rush and staff were very accomodating but I felt guilty for not being able to take our time to do the meals justice. Best lamb I’ve ever tasted!
Have been before and enjoyed it, however our experience Saturday night was much worse. We ordered 6 simple dishes between us, the first came after 30 minutes, the fifth after 2 hours at which point we pulled the pin. The food was quite good but the servings sizes small. The staff were nice when we saw them, which was very rarely. It was clear we were not the only disappointed customers that evening.
If our experience was typical of the new direction they are taking, they won't be trading this time next year.
An underwhelming experience overall -apart from the wines which were reasonable.
The table service was poor. Maybe trainee or otherwise new to the waiting game.
The seafood shared dishes were disappointing. The barramundi dish was an exception.
We were there at lunchtime.Maybe the dinner service is better.
I don't want to be negative but I have worked in Hospitality and also dined here plenty of times before so I think feedback is important rather than just not coming back. We dined Wednesday for a special occasion and we were not very happy overall. We were happy to share and be guided by our waitress on how many meals to order but we didn't have enough for three people on many of the dishes that came out. The vegie dishes came out first and the tomato ricotta dish is not something that can be eaten by itself in all of our opinion. The lamb was something else we were looking forward to but it was fatty and not cooked enough so it was therefore chewy and once again very small portion for three people. The bugs should come with three tails as well, we would be happy to pay whatever as long as there enough. We had scallops, ricotta/tomatoe, Ronde Zuccini, Moreton bay bugs, Duck pancakes, Lamb shoulder and the aztec chocolate and thought about getting a burger on the way home. As well as a few beers and a bottle of red and the drinks and room were great. We have been before and dined in and outide, had the tasting plates , ordered off the menu and had the lunch special and thought they were all great options and nights/lunches so this is why we picked it for a night out. Sorry to be so negative but we had friends with a similar experience last week and think you would rather know.
