The service and the food were great. Was more noisier than the usual because the restaurant was full, but that’s all.

Started a new thing where you can order off the QR code which is great. Has the full menu with description and ordered a second coffee from my table.

A great lunchtime eatery just out of Melbourne (northern suburbs).

The chicken burger was a great choice and everyone around our table seemed to be having a great time.

The food was scrumptious as was the service by all waitresses and staff. Highly recommend this cafe.

My friend and I love the ambience of Rivers, we chose an outside table and it was just fabulous. We are gradually working through the menu with our visits and this time chose Posh Cheese (light lunch) which was superb.

We had a lovely time at Rivers cafe. Ambience and the service was really amazing. Food was delicious. We are going to be regulars from now on ☺️

Lovely atmosphere to meet a friend or two for casual lunch. Nice menu items to choose from and gluten free options. The smashed avocado is very tasty.
Suggest sitting outside when the weather is good and overlook the duck & turtle pond! The nursery has some great plant and gift ideas to see while strolling to and from the cafe. Highly recommend a visit 😊

Great venue to enjoy a brunch with friends.. ordering was different as had two options.. 1st option was to order & pay by phone from our table or option 2 was to walk up to the counter.. either way was a great Covid safe environment..
Food was quick to our table & very friendly staff out front..

I thought I had booked for inside but was outside. A lovely girl changed us to inside Not a fan of ordering through the phone to have the option to order in person is great.

Scones have changed since our last visit. Not as nice and if I remember there was less jam and cream. Coffee was not nice. Bitter.

As always we thoroughly enjoyed the setting and the meal. We usually sit inside but were placed out on the veranda - it was perfect for the day.

Really beautiful place with the garden centre, gift shop and the cafe. Always very friendly staff. Kids enjoy feeding the ducks.

This was a much better visit than our previous time. Ambience was great, food was excellent and the service provided by Helen and Grace was outstanding. Well done.

I won’t be going back as I feel there are better choices of places to eat and catch up with friends.

It was a birthday lunch with my mum after both of us have experience a very isolated 2020. It was overall a nice lunch in terms of the food but disrupted by me having to try to order, then confirm that the app wasn’t working with a staff member (I couldn’t get any of 4 separate staff members attention to ask a brief question). The table wait staff seemed very hurried and not very attentive which I felt was not very representative of the prices paid for the food. As a result we preferred to take our tea and cake somewhere else. The food ordering app didn’t work, I needed to go inside the restaurant to order and collect some water and glassware. I don’t think this is due to COVID precautions, just some lax service attitudes creeping in to the hospitality sector. Perhaps more staff or remote eftpos terminals are required?
