A bit more expensive than other bars at Fed Square. It was also cold - not enough outdoor heaters. Good overall, but we moved to Beer Deluxe after 90 minutes and had a better time there.
Burgers were great and delicious. Great drinks too and wonderful atmosphere. Dog Friendly, even for a Great Dane.
Great to hear! We love our furry pals :-) Thanks for joining us, we hope to welcome you back soon! Kind regards, Ilana
Excellent place for some drinks and a feed.
I found that it gets extremely busy on football game days but we still found the service excellent and our food and drinks delivered promptly. I would definitely recommend this place to visit on all occasions
Many thanks Clinton! Appreciate the feedback and we hope to welcome you back in again soon. Best regards, Ilana
Easy fast pre footy meal that suits all ages. Nice walk to to the MCG along Birrarung Marr.
Cheers Jacqui! It is a lovely walk to the G isn't it :-)
Great location, great ambience, will be coming back when next in Melbourne
Burger is very good and the beers go down really well. Probably slightly overpriced but the setting and atmosphere easily makes up for that. My go to choice for pre footy drinks.
Had a booking called number of times to say we will be late, and no one answered their phone so they took our reservation off.. we come every week essendon play at the G.
Food is good but keep changing the menu which is annoying.
Mulled wine can’t be faulted!
Great Location. Easy pre footy lunch place kjhk;jhihihlihl
Had a lovely lunch at Riverland on Good Friday before a show. It was hot in the sun so would have loved a froze but they have finished for the season. Too hot for mulled wine but I will be back in the cooler months to try.
It is a great summer night venue to eat before going to a show . Great location by the river . Good drinks : the jugs of cocktails were great value .
For the price of the food, I expect larger serves or higher quality. We bought 6 share plates amongst 5 women and were still hungry
Limited bread/ crackers on cheese board and hummus plate.
Good Service by the staff on-site.
Food came quickly
Was easy to get seated
Unfortunately one of our cocktails wasn't well made (mine was excellent - the other one lacked any flavour and seemed to mostly soda water instead of champagne which made my friend really unhappy).
Noisy and fun but the tables are set far enough that if you are eating you can still sit and talk and chat and people watch as you eat.
Recommend this for a nice, relaxed drink and food venue to catch up with friends or like us, use for a quick and easy place to meet before going to the Comedy Fest.
Perfect evening with co workers along the river after work.
The only complaint I have is the beer selection is pretty average - not many good craft beers.
Cannot fault the staff, they are the absolute best and a real asset to Riverland Bar!!!!
Always enjoy this place. Great view great food great wine and excellent service!
We had the fish & chips for $20 each and portions for that price range was very poor + the fish was overcooked ...
I love it there because the vibe and service are awesome. The food is usually great but the other night I was disappointed. I ordered the brisket but it was nowhere near as nice as last time (last month) it was quite dry so I couldn't finish it.
It was very busy when we arrived just before 7 pm. We ordered drinks and food straight away, but the food was taking ages. We were going to a show at Hamer Hall, just across the road, at 8 pm and we were getting worried that we wouldn't have time to eat our meals if they didn't hurry and serve us. I spoke to one of the waitstaff, a young woman, and asked if she could find out how much longer our food would be. She disappeared into the kitchen and about 5-7 minutes later came out with our meals. We were very impressed with this service and very grateful that we had time to eat our food. We made it to the concert on time thanks to the thoughtfulness of this person. There was no 'oh well, we're busy tonight', or anything like that. She actually did something and hurried things up for us. Thank you!
The location was it's saving grace, not great service and food was alright. Asked a waiter for some water and he said he would get some and then did not, proceeded to walk past our table multiple times without bringing it to us. Food was alright, poke bowl was average, could have used some more rice and maybe some soy sauce. Chicken burger was very greasy and the octopus was tiny for the price. Chips were yum and food came out quickly which was great.
Great spot for a bite and a drink... just feel the standard of food could have a bit more attention.
I love Riverland. It is always an enjoyable experience to be had with friends.
Great place to catch up with friends. Lovely being so close to the river. A great chilled place and a reasonable range of food to choose from. Great value
Totally great. Service was great vibe was great food was good enough
Have always loved taking our family to Riverland Bar. Bar staff fantastic. Even asked for chilli flakes off from Calamari from the bar staff & they were on it straight away. Great fella's! View brilliant. Atmosphere great. Food is good. A little smaller serving this time around but in all great.
Our waitress wasn't very happy as the bar staff. But she may have had a long day due to the tennis.
Will be back :)
It was a rainy Sunday and yet the brunch was a very comfortable event. The service was very good and the food was tasty. The location was very casual and laid back.
We booked a table for 7 and when we arrived were given a table that would just fit 6. Were were moved quickly which was good. The food was tasty but for the price we paid I would have expected a much more sizeable - most dishes were tiny and the cheese platter was certainly not worth $24.
The ambience was good and the place was a buzz so the only thing that really let it down for me was the food.
It's a good location, near trains and has shade. Set down from the bridge, it is more quiet than other bars nearby which makes conversation easy.
I normally love this place and go often . This time when I booked I requested a table with the comfier chairs with a back as my mum has a bad back and can’t sit on the wooden stool sears without a back.
I was disappointed when we arrived to find this request was not taken into consideration and when I asked the waitress if we could move and explained why she was abrupt and said well it’s lucky you arrived early then.
My salad with lamb arrived without the lamb. But they fixed it.
I was disappointed
The place was amazing in terms of the view and the atmosphere. Finger foods were delicious but slightly pricey, mains were average. We got a table right next to a set of speakers and it was a tad bit annoying at times when we couldn't hear each other over the music that was being played, but despite all that, the place just had good vibes going , people chatting in the background, sounds of the water and birds nearby, nice cold beers all around, it was just a good time. Would recommend :)
Great spot for a few drinks and some food before and after the game.
I think we picked one of the best September days, 24 degrees, outside on a beautiful day, food was great, service was fabulous, liked it so much went back again three days later, bit busier and noisier then (Friday Lunch), prefer earlier in the week, but everyone seemed to be having a great time. Definitely be back.
It was pleasant and we enjoyed ourselves at this bar. A great spot being near the river.
Amazing food! Popcorn chicken & mulled wine 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Great venue pre footy. Good food served quickly. Close to the G. Great atmosphere
Had dinner on the way to the footy. Great service, tasty food and plenty of drinks to choose from. Heaters and umbrellas kept the showers at bay. Good music pumping out. Certainly come back again.
Great spot for before the footy. It was raining but warm - amazing atmosphere given the weather. Our group of 11 were all happily surprised by how comfortable it was despite the cold wintery night.
We booked a table on a busy Saturday evening, it was very busy but our table was made available straight away. The food was great and it was a quick and convenient meal before going to the theatre.
I’ve been on an afternoon and it’s wonderful!
When we got there they didn’t have my reservation for a table and had to sit on two tables instead of one table. Food and drinks ( mulled wine!!) was excellent!
I miss the table service, but love the casual and relaxed feel of Riverland Bar. I love the setting and the food was excellent.
Great spot for food and drink before heading to the G.
Very quick and friendly service. Highly recommend
