I went for the prime rib and it was as good as expected and large. The lamb chops were not as good as in the past and the sides were just average. A little disappointed that they automatically added 20% to the entire bill including a bottle of wine.
Waiters and food excellent
Still a wonderful place to have dinner, the best steakhouse in the city.
We both had escargots and filet mignon. Each dish was perfect. Service was gracious. Even though it was Valentine's Day, we didn't feel rushed at all.
Great place, very clean and organized. The Staff all worked together.
Our Server was Carlos. He answered all our questions and served us with elegance and importantly he did not rush us. He let us enjoy our time and he pace our courses in a timely matter. We will be back and I well recommend The Ritten House Grill.
Everything was as expected given the price point and current condition until we were about to leave. While we were gathering our jackets and left overs a table was sat and no one was wearing a mask! It seemed like the staff knew the individuals. I did hear one of them say they were vaccinated but that only protects them. They can still carry the virus and infect others. Thinking the vaccine waves their requirement to wear a mask is selfish, foolish and disrespectful to everyone. I hope they do not allow this to happen again.
Great staff, amazing service, beautiful environment, can’t wait for it to be 100% seating again and get to hear the piano player and string band they bring in. One of my family’s favorite spots in the city to have a meal.
It was like walking in & seeing old friends that are genuinely happy to see you. They offered the best meal I’ve had in a while & the service was beyond superb. The decor is just sexy. Perfect choice for date night. We watched for Covid guidelines (masks, cleaning etc) & Social distancing were all strictly observed, which made us feel secure too. I loved it. Will definitely come back soon! Thank You!
Great service and excellent food.
The food, the service was just as great as our previous visits! So happy we went!
Great food and great service. Safety measures were great too. Well done Rittenhouse Grille!!
We found this place on a last minute whim while visiting a family member in the city. We made reservations for 7:30p, but we got lost and had to push them back to 8p. The host was completely understanding and accommodating. Valet parking was a breeze. Our waiter was excellent and the food was delicious! I recommend the tuna, Buzz’s salad, & the Mac & Cheese! We will be back soon!
It is a fantastic restaurant with great ambiance and food. Highly recommend.
The food was so good. I had the crab cake and seabass and my date had the rack of lamb. The sides were great. We had no complaints.
Was perfect
I understand that the restaurants have been closed for a long time due to political BS. However to automatically apply a 20% gratuity I think is very assuming. The service was excellent but it should be left to individual discretion. Now granted, if there is a party of six or more I think that is a much more acceptable policy.
In addition I was not happy with my cocktail. I should have sent it back. However, figuring I did not want to have the bartender throw the cocktail away, I just asked for a little more vodka. I was charged an additional cost almost the same as having another cocktail , without my knowledge. My perception is that due to the restaurant being closed for a period of time, they were looking to make up for lost time by charging additional fees and forcing me to leave a tip regardless of what the service was.
Just so you are aware I did bring these two things to the attention of the waiter and he advised me that they did remove the tip but they could not do anything about the additional vodka charge that was on the bill. I did leave a 20% tip because the service was very good . I just felt I was being taking advantage of due to the closures as a result of the pandemic. I myself am a business owner and understand more than most what this has done to businesses.
This is one of the most elegant dining experiences you can have in Philadelphia. The food is impeccably amazing, and the service is top notch. Even the patrons bring a flare to experience, I felt like I was sitting at a runway show. Simply put, you will love this place.
The name has changed but the prime rib remains delicious
This place is always perfect!
Great to see the inside of this fine restaurant!
Great staff
New Years Eve Dinner with friends. Great customer service, wonderful host and waiter. The food was amazing and filling.
Our waiter was very accommodating, especially when he took notice that there wasn't available heater to place behind me while dining. The lamb chops and NY Strip was absolutely fantastic! We will definitely be back. I salute all staff in any restaurant as it is not easy during these trying times. If you don't understand that, then maybe you should opt out of outdoor dining.
Hard to find but good potato skins and prime rib
Even though it was cold outside, they made accommodations to give us extra heat. All of the food was hot and delicious! Great restaurant and such a fabulous go to even with all of the COVID issues. Love this place.
I dined on thanksgiving night. Outdoor seating (covid).
Understandably the entire experience was most likely very different in comparison to a “normal” experience at this place.
However, I found everything to be well overpriced. I’m not a fancy person anyway, but was attempting to “treat myself” as I was alone for the holiday. I ended up ordering the “Thanksgiving Special” solely because what I really wanted was the filet, but the steak alone was $54. I was not impressed in the least at any part of the “Thanksgiving Special”. At best, it’s similar to making a plate at a cafeteria. The BEST part, was the butternut squash soup. The one small slice of pumpkin pie was $10. I honestly regret not going with the filet. However, I can find plenty of other places to get more and better for my money. The servers were absolutely delightful and I fault them in no way for my experience. I thank everyone for even being open on thanksgiving.
Service was very attentive to Covid guidelines, and the sidewalk seating was lovely.
We loved it more than other steak houses in the city and will be back! I don’t know what took us so long!
Wonderful meal; fantastic service.
Their food was amazing, and the service was outstanding.
Lamb chops was delicious.
Outstanding as usual. Cannot wait to get back in 2021
It's our favorite dinning spot in Philadelphia. It's also a great place to celebrate a special event.
Service was amazing. And food was just as good. Atmosphere was awesome.
An absolutely wonderful experience once again at 1701. Outstanding.
Great food, attentive service in a beautiful atmosphere. Located in the iconic Warwick Hotel.
Amazing service
Smaller portions than The Prime Rib, but equally delicious.
I recommend this place to any couple looking for a nice intimate diner
This place is awesome. The food was great and the service was awesome. Great way to celebrate our anniversary.
