Rico Bar & Dining
Our first time here and it was fabulous.
Great food and sensational service plus a beautiful view of the river and Story Bridge at night❤️
I've lived in Brisbane for 2 years and hands down the best restaurant I've been to. The steak was the best I've had in Brisbane and value for money to boot!! Will recommend to anyone that will listen lol
Service was terrible took 1hr to get our drinks then they were wrong. Food was delicious.
The food was tasty and well priced. One of our waiters was terrific, friendly and knowledgeable. One disappointment was that 4 of us were on a table which really was only suitable for 2. So sharing dishes was difficult! I admit this is one of my pet hates - 4 of you are spending twice that of 2 so you should be given adequate space. Particularly in a place like Rico which promotes and encourages plate sharing.
Good experience with nice food, view & atmosphere.
Really enjoyed the night and have to give some huge praise to the staff , the gentleman who looked after us Jonathon is a huge asset to that establishment well done to all. We will be back
Good for a business lunch. Very affordable prices in a stylish location.
The best service we’ve received anywhere in Brisbane. Our waiter knew the menus inside out and back to front including both drinks and food - even the ingredients and methods of preparation. The ambience was perfect also.
Great food and location
We had booked an outside table , therefore noise level wasn't an issue
Food was terrific. After living in regional Spain for a few years we have craved genuine Spanish Tapas and Vino since returning home. The flavours were as we remembered and we enjoyed the memories the food brought back to us. Service was spot on and the Spanish Tempranillo Vino was as we remembered. Seemed overly noisy for the number of people accommodated however, we accepted this as also authentic Spanish.
A must for a genuine Spanish Cuisine experience and reasonably priced, especially for an Eagle Street Pier restaurant
This place was awesome. food was amazing and a very good price.
weightier where super good. very beautiful place inside and out.
Fantastic location, they describe themselves as Latin-Australian and that it is, great menu, congratulations! Prices are amazing, steaks are around $10 cheaper than most on Eagle St Pier, most mains under $30. Had the paella for two, best I've had in a while.
Food was lovely. Bone marrow and Jamon Iberico were highlights. Dessert menu also a real hit. Value for money slightly on the higher side considering the tapas style eating, its rather easy to run up a hefty tab. Service was fantastic and the best part of the night. Attentive without being nosy.
Great location to show Brissy off once the sun goes down. New floor wait staff need some more guidance about attentive efficient service. Please groom them!!
Beautiful ambient restaurant overlooking the Brisbane River and Story Bridge. Lovely attentive and charming staff. Mediterranean food feast and colorful, seafood filled paella. Topped off by an excellent wine selection.
Drinks ordered and brought quickly. We asked the waiter where the oysters were from, he didn't know and he had no interest in them! Funny as they featured on the menu. Waiter came back past once, our Tapas ( very small plates for the cost) arrived 45 minutes later. Next lot ... well we waited another 40 minutes and still nothing came and still no waiter. When we decided to leave they said it wouldn't be long now! 85 minutes was too long to wait for our main and especially as it was now well after 9pm. Kindly the manager didn't charge us and offered a free voucher for us to come back. We thanked her but didn't take it.
Good price, amazing view for the Story Bridge, and the steak was superb.
Fabulous food for good price. Best Sangria and ceviche. Service excellent. Best restaurant I have been to for a long while.
Food and service was amazing, 2 small downsides the space was glary, which is an issue for all the riverside restaurants, the vendors need to address the glare whilst maintaining the view. The group I was with discussed who would have to look at the glare, not the best start, and the noise level was busy, the interior lacks acoustic treatments to soak up the noise.
Great service and excellent food at a most reasonable price all served with a beautiful view
Fabulous food and great service. Highly recommend a visit.
It was great, service was outstanding, lamb was amazing, and the overall experience was fantastic
We had a 17:30 booking & was told we had to sit outside & that no other seats were available inside. At no point during the booking process did it ask about seating preferences. After 2 x complaints they found a seat inside for us which should’ve happened immediately given there were dozens of free tables empty.
The food is very expensive & unfortunately not good. The oysters were great but we found the rest of the food was pretty poor. In particular the salt cod croquettes were all mashed potato with almost no salt cod.
The lamb ribs were tough & fatty with little meat on them.
The only saving grace was our 2nd waiter, John who was helpful.
We won’t be going back again.
A very disappointing experience. Being my 2nd visit I had high expectations from having a great experience last time. From the minute we sat down it was very different. We weren't assigned a specific waiter and the time of service was very slow. We had a few different people serving us, we observed our food getting mixed up for other tables, initial orders took a very long time along with requests. At one point i requested some extra ice for my $88 bottle of wine as it was a very hot night and the ice melted straight away with my wine going warm. This didnt happen until i asked a 2nd person by then i had warm wine. The food was not at the standard it was last time, the duck salad lacked flavour and didnt have all the ingredients in it that you have on our menu, the bug brioche doesnt say on the menu that it is battered - this should be very clear and the batter was so thick it was not enjoyable to eat, i needed to peal it off which left me with minimum actual bug. My husband enjoyed the oysters and the Jamon and Ceviche was nice but overall the food for the price was very poor value. The waiters were nice though seemed to be struggling to keep up perhaps not enough staff were on. The overall organisation of service was not great though. Our bill was over $400 for 2 people and not worth it at all. I wont be recommending to anyone based on our last experience which is a shame as i have been after the first instance though am no embarrassed of this previous recommendation given my recent experience.
Food was very disappointing. But the waiter was above & beyond.
Good morning Rico staff. My wife and I booked a table for two on Friday night. We selected the second sitting at 810 pm. We arrived at 8pm and were surprised to see a line up out the door. I have never experienced this in my 20 years of dining in Brisbane. I presume you didn’t coordinate your change over effectively enough. Being made to line up and wait 40 min is ok but it would of been nice if you provided some information and maybe some water as we waited.
Once inside the service and food was outstanding. I felt the venue was very crowded and noisy as a result of trying to fit to many people in the venue. Very overpriced for the experience we received.
What a wonderful way to spend Valentine’s Day ! The location, the restaurant, the ambiance- just fantastic!
Enjoyed a beautiful and extremely tasty set menu, with attentive and excellent service from our Waiter.
Cannot recommend highly enough!
Would recommend to anyone really nice atmosphere and very pleasant staff.
Excellent service, friendly waitress and very delicious cooks!
Food was great as usual. But the service still needs a heap of improvement.
Food and service excellent, table sizes a bit too small to cater for tapas sharing
The location is excellent, wonderful view. Unfortunately our Paella was a bit overcooked and dry
What a treat. For paella tapas and beef cheeks Rico cannot be beat
One of the nicest meals I've had in a long long time anywhere in the world.
The food was great the cocktails were beautiful but what made it amazing was the Service.
We really need to order double portions which was fine but we did not realize this until food came out. Food delicious but we needed more.
Fab service and delicious food. The view was of course gorgeous. Will return!
Great location, good well priced ,service attentive. Steak and barramundi were good. Only negative was the sides of cauliflower and mushrooms. Good selection of wine
Love the space and the food. Would liked to have sat up higher as was hot where we were. Our waiter was not attentive until he thought a tip might have been on the cards. Not much effort to fill water and even look our way to see if we need anything extra. Vibe is great though and the view amazing.
The service at the restaurant was very poor and really made the dining experience disappointing. Staff were uninformed about the menu and after being told that the tapas would come out staggered we ended up with 12 dishes on our table (for 4 people) with literally no space for our plates. We were also told we could order more food once the tapas came out. Our waitress did not come to see us to take our second order before kitchen closed. In fact she disappeared and the other staff seemed disinterested in clearing our table and offering desserts. With so many quality restaurants to choose from in Brisbane I would not recommend Rico.
Beautiful food. Fantastic service and very reasonably priced.
Dozen oysters for $32! We will definitely go back with all the family!
It is a little noisy but a beautiful view of the river!
