Amazing food and service. We only randomly went here and are so glad we did. Get the meatballs!
Tommy, the waiter, was the best we have encountered in years. This server is a gem !!
I will go here again, partially for the food but 100% for our server Tommy! Made us feel right at home and was attentive without being overbearing. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli, very good but a little overcooked and needed some salt. Would get again though! It was good enough for leftovers!
Always excellent. Delicious Orichette with sausage and broccoli rabe. Our server tonight, Mike, even recommended a great Brunello that wasn't on the list! Make sure to ask if they have some hidden off-list gems. That was a nice surprise. But Riccardo's always delivers. Never disappointed.
We were there to celebrate my daughter and three friends who had the makeup 2020 BC Graduation.
The staff made it fun and even brought out shots for all to toast with. Cheers!
Was festive environment and they were able to accommodate a somewhat large party.
We arrived for our reservation and were told we would have to wait 20-30 minutes for table. They didn’t have what we wanted to order, and we left 2 hours later without eating as our food never arrived.
Terrible service, terrible food. Waited almost 2 hours for food and when it arrived it was terrible. Advertised as having gluten free options but when asked didn’t seem to understand. If you have gluten free needs, do not come here. Restrooms dirty. Would not recommend to anyone. Ruined our day.
Terrible food, awful service
This was the second time in the last few months we ate at Ricardo's. Both times the food was fair and the service poor. Tonight was my daughter's birthday. We ordered drinks that took 20 minutes to come. Then my dinner came. My husband and daughter's dinner did not come for almost 30 minutes later . Meanwhile , no offer to refill drinks or water . No lasagna both times we went. They don't have a full bar - just beer, wine and cordials. Husband and daughter had pasta that was bland. We had been there so long with poor service and fair food that we didn't order dessert. Walked to Quincy Market to get dessert instead. We won't go back.
The entree dishes were very disappointing. My wife had eggplant parm and it was luke warm and in her words not as good as Costco’s. My seafood pasta which was the most expensive dish on menu was tasteless. Wine list good and appetizers good. Ambiance very good in the outdoor setting. Service adequate on a busy night. We would not go back.
Meeting with extended family in Boston
Great waiter, was a crazy busy crowded night but great service. Was loud but expected with so many people around.
WE LOVED Riccardo's! We want a traditional Italian restaurant in the North end and we were so happy with our choice. The food was fantastic. Several of us had shrimp in our dishes and it was so tender and sweet and the flavors were perfect! If we lived in Boston we would ago her all the time! Than you for an incredible meal.
We had a great meal with great friends. The stuffed meatball appetizer was amazing and so was the seafood fra diavlo. The piece of tirimisu they gave to the birthday boy was to die for.
Horrible. Food and service both. Would not go back
We waited over 1.5 hours for our food, couldn’t get our waiter’s attention and the food came out cold. Definitely not going back.
Service was quick and attentive. Food came quickly and was delicious. Got busy fast (we went at 6:30) so
I could see things slowing down the larger the crowd. Great staff sprinkled with new help.
Great Boston North End location, attentive staff, excellent food, great wine by the glass.
Found Riccardo's to be an extremely great place to have dinner. Never been before but will definitely be back. Stuffed Meatballs are AMAZING. Mike our waiter was fantastic. Great wine selection paired perfectly with my dinner. Can not recommend this place enough
Great food! Nice, attentive waiter!
My boyfriend and I had a date night here as we were visiting Boston for the night. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was soooo good. My boyfriend got the veal parm with penne, he said he enjoyed it. For an appetizer, we got the limoncello shrimp (I think that’s what it is called) and it was such a unique dish, it was cooked to perfection and the flavor was great. Our waiter was very attentive. He was making jokes with us and even offered to take a picture of my boyfriend and I. I’m so happy that out of all the restaurants in the area we chose Riccardo’s.
They could not have been nicer. Such a great team there and the food was delish. Their wine list was a little limited but we were able to make do!
We were seated upstairs, where the temperature was so cold and the waiters were screaming and singing. Our food took about 45 minutes to came out, only to be completely wrong . One dish was drenched in wine to the point that we couldn’t eat it. One meal didn’t arrive until 15 minutes after the entire table got their food. Overall, the food and vibe of the restaurant was completely off. Also, none of the staff in the kitchen wore their masks. They did offer free cake for my friends birthday but the waiter blew out the candle by accident. Respectfully, the prices of the food did not reflect the poor value of the food and restaurants hospitality.
waiter was yelling and screaming (jokingly) with other tables (presumably of his friends) which made it INCREDIBLY noisy and hard to hear anyone at our table. All food was cold, and veal was entirely raw.
This reservation was linked to a friends reservation. The restaurant was ready for all of us when we arrived, sat us quickly and were attentive. This was Boston marathon weekend so lots of people in town, could not have been happier with their service and not having to wait for our table.
Food was good, service was timely. Only negative was we asked for 3 separate checks for our party and they said they couldn’t do that.
The table around the corner from the hostess station is great. Near the window and much quieter. The meatball appetizer was amazing, the best I have ever had! All our food was great. Will definitely go again next time I’m in town.
The food was cold and the flat out was horrible.
The wait staff never checked on us. We had to flag someone down if we wanted something
Nice, North side Boston Italian bistro. We chose to sit at the bar thinking it would be fun to witness all the hullabaloo going on by the wait staff and bar tenders. We weren't disappointed. It was a fun and energetic evening with good wine and drinks. My husband enjoyed his veal, I did not enjoy my lobster ravioli (which the bartender recommended). The ravioli was stuffed with something but it didn't taste anything like lobster so I didn't get past a couple of bites. The Caesar salad was simple, but good and thankfully plentiful - enough to share which we did.
I would certainly go back to Riccardo's but not for the ravioli.
Busy night i the North End but I had a reservation and expect service. Unfortunately the server had too many tables. Drinks were delayed, he missed our salads completely despite my hailing other help twice. Meal was a single smaller chicken breast for $25. No vegetables and of course no missing salad☹️
Excellent service! Amazing food! Would definitely make this my go to restaurant if I lived in Boston.
Excellent service and waiter. Loved the ambience but a little loud. Food was excellent, except for the salmon dish. Loved the flavor of the sauce but a touch salty.
Food was terrible
Great service and great food
Excellent service - staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious, classic Italian dishes that did not disappoint!
Great atmosphere. The starter was a wonderful chewy bread with a very strong olive oil dip, which made it unique to other Italian restaurants. One of the best, if not the best Veal Parm I’ve ever had
A great dining experience. My only question was if the pasta was homemade or not; I don’t believe it was.
Highly recommended for every type of experience, family, date, or gathering.
The real deal
Excellent food and great service.
Riccardo's was pretty cool. The staff were kind and prompt, and the food was delicious. We had a great time here and would definitely go back.
The food was amazing. The service was not we got our food before silverware and the server seemed a little overwhelmed. They brought out the wrong risotto but did correct it.
