The food was outstanding. Although we had made a reservation, they said there was a private event but we were still accommodated. It still should have been explained to us making the reservation, we were seated amongst the private party which I thought was unprofessional. Our server seemed scattered as well. I'll try it again to give it a second chance.
Pam is the best!
Dined with friends at the end of August. The new menu had just come out and was delicious. We tried the lobster ravioli, the beef dish, scallops and pork chop and the courgettes plate. The pistachio eclair and coconut lime pudding with jalapeño were just bursting with flavor. Particularly enjoyed the complimentary petite dessert that accompanied our bill. Our server was very well informed and attentive. A very enjoyable dining experience was had by all.
Great atmosphere, fantastic service, good drinks selection with a very nice view. And the food... I really cannot explain how amazingly good it is. We are pescatarian and had enough options on the menu. The courgettes are from outside of this world! It is the perfect place for a nice evening out with drinks and plates to share.
Excellent food. Attentive staff. Cool vibe and atmosphere. Try the scallops. Wait staff friendly - ask for recommendations - The won't lead you astray.
limited menu and overpriced, but the wine is reasonable
Excellent appetizer. Had the squash. Perfectly seasoned. Main was striploin. Steak was over cooked and dry but the accompaniments were amazing. Desert was the die for. Had the lemon curd. Such a great balance.
Room is bit loud, that is the con. Everything else was so good. Service was top notch, but the food is the star here. Read the menu you might think, will I like this? Oh yes you will! Maybe the best food I have had in 2019.
The whole experience was excellent. We had the salad greens, scallops and the lemon custard for dessert. The pace our server provided was superb. Everything was very tasty.
Revel was outstanding! Amazing food and service. I visit to this restaurant is a must!!
We are regulars at this restaurant but Friday's dinner with our friends was the best meal we've had in a long time. Everything was delicious. We ordered 8 dishes and share everything so we got to try a lot of the menu. Will definitely be back soon to try the rest. Chef Kunal Sawhney is a genius with fusion and pickling. Lots of vegetarian options also.
Revel has a nice mix of small and larger plates great for sharing. I was not impressed with the non-alcoholic "mocktail" being $15.
Super delicious food with great wait staff. Menu changes with the seasons which I love.
Service was excellent and the food was very good.
The space is beautiful and I am so glad that a restaurant is thriving in this location.
I absolutely will visit again.
Every time I come here I love it even more. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff are kind and cheerful. The food is to die for. You guys are doing an awesome job.
Pleasantly surprised. I was spurned after Larry from Hardware lost this spot but the present place is worth going. Menu has some neat varieties, location is great, patio will be good in summer, and the bar decor is great.
Last minute booking for two to try out Revel’s Downtown Tastes 3-course meal. They squeezed us in, made us feel special, and wowed us with unique food items that combined Asian fusion with fun versions of comfort foods. We’ll return to try other items on the menu, with a larger group of friends - I suspect it will be partly to sample the fresh variety of cocktails we witnessed as the servers were passing by.
The food and drinks were incredible! The staff were really amazing! The bar area is awesome, very nice touch to the whole place!
Downtown dining week menu was fantastic! Server was exceptional.... Pam. Will return for sure.
We've been to Revel a few times and always had a fine experience. But the chicken with dumplings on the Downtown Dining Week menu was one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. I'd eat that any day, any time. Kudos to the chef!
The food at downtown dining was fantastic. Hope that the regular menu is as good - we hope to be back.
Excellent food, personable & efficient staff, nice ambience & a great location with a view.
Service was slow. Too many competing flavours on the plate, and the chef has a heavy hand with the salt.
I'm always taking half my meal home from a restaurant, however, $28 for the fish dinner last night was more of an appetizer, I was not enough for anyone for a meal, terrible cost for no food!!!
The service was extremely slow and it wasn’t busy
Exceptional Service and Fantastic Food!
Food was amazing!! Will definitely go back. Atmosphere in the lounge was awesome. The dinning room was quieter and the art was a little strange, not in keeping with the restaurant vibe. Cocktails were also very good.
Very friendly with an interesting menu. I’m not sure way it wasn’t busier but I think it should be.
Great restaurant! Great food! Must try in Edmonton.
Best smash burger!
Will not go back. Food was way over priced for the quality. Was luke-warm. None of the food was hot, and we waited a long time for drinks. Really not impressed with the food at all. Most definitely will not go back.
Love this restaurant. Great service. Great food. Really nice vibe. Wine was delicious. Spacious interior but still inviting. Eat here!
Great atmosphere, food was delicious and at a good value. Building had some neat history and the cocktails were amazing !
Had a nice lunch at Revel Bistro - was a little disappointed the dining room wasn't open, so sat on the bar side with my friend. The server didn't ask how I wanted my hamburger, so when it arrived it was rare. I sent it back as I prefer mine to be medium-medium/well. They were kind enough to replace with a properly cooked burger and waived the cost. My partner's tomato salad was good too. Nice place. Excellent service.
Perhaps one of the worst experiences dining out in Edmonton. First, in the dining room, there were only three tables. The others were stacked up against the inner wall alongside the chairs leaving a large empty space. Even with only three tables, the server rushed us through our order stating she had other tables she needed to take care of. The food was sub par. Tuna had gone bad, the braised short rib was dry and tough, potatoes were overly oily, the pate seemed to have been bad as well. The bread was delicious. This is a restaurant you are better off filling up on bread. Next, a member of our group asked if they had a specific type of alcohol, which they replied they did not. 30 minutes later, the server had brought the table a round of a similar drink that the bartender created. We thought maybe it was a drink on the house for our clear dissatisfaction. Nope. It was on the bill. We did not ask for it, but it was there. I generally give each restaurant I try three chances to impress, but I will not be going back to this one.
Great food. Great service. Great old fashioned!
Great Service, food was great, Tapas type menu.. portions were smaller but thought was very good. Would go back...
Ordered the wings to start - pretty good. As our mains we ordered the ravioli and steak. The ravioli must have had a charred aspect to it, but it unfortunately leaned to burnt.
The biggest disappointment was the steak. When dropping $42+ you expect a good steak - it was pale and had a not-so-enjoyable flavour . The potatoes were cold. The best part was the mushrooms. Service was friendly but seemed very understaffed for a weekend. Food was disappointing. Overall a disappointing experience at a historically well rated restaurant. Drinks were good though!
The room is beautiful. Service was very friendly and attentive despite only having one server for the entire place. The food was adventurous which we liked. The marrow was a bit lacking as it had run out of the bone but the mushrooms were good.
My only real issue was the washroom smelled awful. It was clean and modern so I assume there is some stagnant water in the drain. It was bad enough that it made a lasting impression.
Food was excellent. Gnocchi were fantastic.
No issue with the restaurant at all, the only issue was with customers couple of tables over who thought it was a good idea to FaceTime during supper.
