staff and food excellent, great setting I hope venues like this survive the current disaster.
thank you for a great evening
We were pleasantly surprised that they care enough to have our seating arrangements in line with the social distancing suggestions by the govt. we were able to enjoy our time there without worrying about this other issue. Service by Michael was excellent, the food was superb and cooked perfectly! The ambience was so relaxing. Thank you!
We have dined at Lurleen's on many occasions over the years and the standard has remained first class. They have adapted to the new space requirements extremely well.
A great venue with a wonderful outlook. The food and wine offering was first class and the waiting staff were attentive, if a little busy. Overall we had a very enjoyable dining experience.
This is a go to place for guest of ours from interstate & overseas & special occasions, my 98 year old Mother in law loves it. The staff a very attentive & ,friendly, the food just divine & this is why we come at every opportunity to show how good you guy's are.
No words to say how much we love this place! Love the food and service!
We have never been to Lurleens before and we decided to visit to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. It is a very beautiful Restaurant and has a wow factor on entry. Despite many tables being vacant the wait staff sat us right next to the busy service isle which didn’t allowfor much intimate or romantic conversation and it would have been nicer placed by a window or away from all the rush for our date. We sat for nearly 20 minutes before anyone spoke to us or brought water to our table. When we placed our order we were asked what drinks we would like but had never been provided a drinks menu. On 3 occasions during our evening the wrong meal was presented to our table (the orders were for the tables around us) . The food was lovely, would have been great to have a pasta option on the menu. Overall despite the errors on the night we would come back for another special occasion but definitely request to be seated away from the main service isle. The duck was amazing!
I love Sirromet. I was married there and have been to Lurleens many times. On this instance however, we had a few issues. Our food was very slow. We saw many people who arrived after us receive & finish their food before we had even received our mains. They made a couple of mistakes with our order i.e. my husband ordered a side of vegetables, we know the waitress wrote it down correctly because she clarified it wasn’t to share, just for my husband. When our meals came out we received share chips. We didn’t complain as we thought, oh well, we like chips. A number of times we wanted to order drinks (as the wait was long)but couldn’t catch the eye of anyone to order. At the end of the dinner when we were ordering dessert, I asked if I could order a sparkling wine, the waitress gave me a wine list, I said I’ll be quick I just couldn’t remember what the wine was. Before I could tell her, she said I’ll be back (if I’d been given 3 more seconds I could have told her. She came back after about 15 minutes and didn’t ask or give me an opportunity to order the wine. My Hubby & I laughed it off, oh well I guess she doesn’t think I need another wine. The desserts came out after sometime. 2 creme brûlée’s. I said we didn’t order 2, so instead of asking what we did order, he gave my husband one and quickly walked away. We waited a while to see if they’d bring out mine as well. After 10 minutes we figured they weren’t so my husband started eating his, then, the waitress whose attention we had been trying to get saw mine hadn’t arrived. She went to the kitchen and as my husband finished his she apologised and said mine will be here shortly. I said, don’t worry about it, I would feel strange eating it by myself. She insisted and I felt bad for her as I don’t think it was her mistake so I agreed. It was beautiful food but certainly not a the Lurleens experience I was expecting. We don’t go there that often and for what we received for $248 we probably won’t go again for a long time.
The portion size is very generous here. We ordered a three course meal which was delicious but was a lot for one person
Arguably the best restaurant in Brisbane. Wonderful menu, exceptional service (thanks Maria) and beautiful views.
Our go-to place for special occasions
Very attentive waiter Beautiful setting
Great place to go for a fantastic meal in a beautiful restaurant..
too much smoking of meat and greens -it was all one could taste- just smoke
We had a great ladies birthday lunch at Lurleen’s. It was a fun lunch and we had great attention from Maria who looked after us so well. The food was very good and the time just flew by!
A lovely experience.
Beautiful setting overlooking Sirromet Winery. Service was overall pretty good although I had a bug fly in to my glass of wine but the waiter didnt seem too concerned by what had happened.
I ordered my eye fillet steak medium and it was overcooked - there was no pink at all when I cut through it. Thankfully it had a mustard butter on top which kept it somewhat moist.
Dessert was enjoyable.
Excellent meal and service waitress was exceptional and should be congratulated on the way she treated us and other customers around us . We will definitely be returning
The restaurant was the venue that was decided on for my partners birthday. We did the 6 course degustation. The value was incredibly good as we ended trying 9 courses as 3 were complimentary from the chef. Overall the meal was very good. We also tried a wine which was the Shiraz Voigner by sirromet.
Overall I would recommend for anyone to try the same. Excellent. 👍🏻👍🏻
Would recommend only to my financial well off friends
But the steak was great
The reason we came back to Lurleens was because of the food. We chose the Tasting menu with wine pairings and completely enjoyed the experience, it just made sense. The food was exquisite and we will recommend it to everyone
We planned a late valentines lunch at Lurleens. My pork main was quite nice, however the fish that my wife ordered was overcooked and dry. The only reason it wasn't sent back was we didn't want to wait for a replacement as it took quite a while for each course to come out and we wanted to leave as we had a long drive home ahead. The wait staff were very friendly and the atmosphere and view from the restaurant quite nice
As usual Lurleen’s are the benchmark. An established restaurant that doesn’t rely on trends just great food and great service. Do yourself a favour and make the trip out to Sirromet
First time for us at Lurleens, staff were outstanding and very pleasant, meals well above my expectations, felt right at home, awesome dining experience.
The service and staff were very good, entrée was nice(tasting plate), mains were not of the standard I thought they would be for the price, lacked seasoning and flavour but were certainly not uneatable. The desserts were lovely no complaints there.
Food far too salty.- both entrees and mains, to the extent I could not eat it. Disappointed as it was a special occasion and we had been looking forward to the evening. Everything is very expensive. Brooke our table server was very good.
Had dinner with our two children, staff were incredible and extremely attentive especially with our children who thought it was like dinner in the movies
Some tired decor but food was lovely. One of the best steaks I’ve had and staff were lovely.
The food was average quality with an expensive price.
We had a fantastic afternoon at Lurleens. We had lunch before the Elton John concert and the food could not have been better together with the fabulous service we received from Maria. I don't ever normally have a three course meal but the food was just so good I could not resist. Don't miss out on the lavender parfait! They bring out dry ice to finish off the presentation of the course and its just spectatcular....and it was just ridiculously delicious. Highly recommend this place for a wonderful meal.
Excellent food and wines really trigger your taste. Very friendly and professional staff.
It is a lovely restaurant experience, delicious food not too large portions so you can experience a few courses.
Love the place and still coming after many many years
The dining experience at Restaurant Lurleen’s was exceptional. The service host - Patrick was welcoming, obliging and his pronunciation of the dishes - excellent. He was informative and thoughtful.
We loved every morsel and every moment!!
The food and ambiance were great. We enjoyed all of our dishes. Sad thing was that the service was very slow and sometimes we were ignored although the vwait person recognized us. We ordered sparkling water three times to different wait person and they never came. We ordered matching wine to our main and we asked many times to bring wine, it arrived when more than half of the main has finished. I took my business clients there telling them this was the one of the best restaurant in Brisbane. How embarrassing! I will never take my important client there.
Food was rather salty
Entree of soup only had one scallop and the bay bugs dumplings had no filling
Main well i am glad we ordered the side dish of broc
The averdco had only a small scoop of ice cream so th coffe was bitter
Steak was nice but for 200-00 too expensive . we have been there several times but will start looking elsewhere
We sat towards the rear of the restaurant, great view, but very noisy, maybe the timber floors, found it difficult to understand what the waiter was saying. I would have liked the table to be clothed as were the inside tables. I thought the meals were a little overpriced. I had the crab filled zucchini flowers and all the flavour was in the tzatziki, could not taste the crab. The side veges were overcooked too. My main surf & turf was delish, although the brisket was a bit oily. I probably would not return to Lurleen's as I think there are more restaurants with amazing food for alot less price. I did enjoy the wine matching. The site is certainly a grand place to visit and will come back to try the Tuscan Terrace.
Wonderful meal. Sensational service. A great place to celebrate.
Welcomed on entry and shown to our table. Georgia did an outstanding job in explaining the items on the menu and her service throughout our time in the restaurant was excellent.
Husband’s birthday lunch was great. It was a little long in between courses, but otherwise could not fault the service or the beautiful food. Our guests loved it and plan on coming again. Well done Sirromet Winery, my husband and I are regular visitors and will continue to visit
We had the tasting menu for my mum’s 60th birthday and it was amazing.
Lewis was fantastic!!!
And the kitchen was incredibly accommodating of all our dietary requirements.
Thank you all for a wonderful night
We enjoyed a beautiful lunch at Lurleen’s on Sunday to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The service Emily provided was exceptional , very professional, very friendly and her attention to detail was second to none. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, the winery surroundings are exceptional. Highly recommend Sirromet
