Republica St Kilda Beach
Had a pleasant breakfast the service was fantastic the food was amazing and the overall experience was awesome .I would highly recommend the venue to everyone
A lovely spot right on St Kilda beach. Three young grandchildren were well looked after RE food and staff were great
Our order took so long to be served, we had to follow up. Food wasn’t great, actually too salty for my taste. A bit pricey for the quality of food we got. Good thing the location was really good, right in front is the sight of the beach which is too relaxing.
Superior pub food in a very noisy setting, close to the beach. Outdoor probably better
Overpriced food, nothing outstanding on the menu, $24 for broccoli and pepperoni pizza seems outrageous.
Very noise, acoustics are pretty bad in this place, impossible to have a conversation even if there was not music on.
Cocktails were good. Service a bit slow but not too bad.
Really nice beach setting, live music was being played which would have been good if we were just drinking, but made it a little difficult to talk whilst eating. We had the duck salad which was lovely but the pizza was average. It was very busy so general table service wasn’t too attentive but the food came quickly which was good!
Whilst the service was excellent, I feel the menu was mis-represented. I had the chick and didn't expect 2 'legs' as a meal with no vegetables and hardly any jus. Not substantial enough for $34. Sorry
Really disappointed in the experience. Phoned ahead and mentioned it was a birthday lunch, with people from overseas, and could we have a great table with a view. Arrived and were put in the back near a really rowdy group table. When asking if we could move to one of the tables near the water, we were told that no, they were reserved. Perhaps by somebody else who called ahead with a special request??
Food was average, service felt like we were bothering them, and overall was just a let down.
The food was very good and so was the service. The only downside was the noise. It was so loud we could hardly hear each other. We basically had to yell at each other.
I would only recommend this for very young people who probably wouldn’t mind the noise. So much.
Very happy with food and service
Lovely beach side setting and buzzing atmosphere, service was't to the level expected just in relation to the meal and drink prices. I had the seafood spaghetti which was quite yummy, although I had to bite through a bit of grit and broken mussel shell in the process which was a bit off putting. My friend had the margarita pizza which wasn't flavoursome and was overall disappointing.
Beef rolls meat was tough and calamari was a touch under cooked. Amazing ambience on the beach, and my pasta was perfect, an ok experience in an amazing location.
We had a very enjoyable celebration at Republica. Our main courses were great but the desserts were outstanding. The service and timing were excellent. Next time it will be share a pizza and have lots of room for dessert
While the food is delicious, the portion sizes were tiny. Half hour wait for coffee that was only average and came well after food did. Service was not very friendly or attentive at all.
Pizzas awesome as usual, setting perfect.
It’s very convenient to book on ONETABLE!
This is our first meal in Melbourne and it’s very nice.
Service is so good.
I like the deserts very much!!!
Really tasty lunch. Very busy place, awesome location
Everything about Republica was brilliant: service, food, fun summer atmosphere. But inevitably when it came to pay at the end the horrendous and out-dated ‘no bill splitting’ policy reared its ugly head.
A nice restaurant, very central in St Kilda. Good food, nice for familys
I returned with some family as a first visit a couple of years ago was lovely but this time our meals were tiny for what you pay and our calamari was very greasy and tough, almost inedable.
Great Place, but definitely not the scene if you want a romantic outing as it is VERY loud and noisy when it is busy.
Republica has such a great vibe and the location is fabulous. The menu was varied with lots of choices. We really enjoyed the food that we had ordered and chose to eat inside for our main and then moved outside to enjoy more drinks, the ocean view and relaxed in a swinging cocoon chair. We will definitely be back again soon.
The main was fine, nothing special, but too small for the price (I ordered a salad with tuna). Than, I ordered a Calamari since I was still hungry and the calamari was extremely salty (I had eaten there before and this was not normal). I was charged for it anyways.
Best seafood pasta ever !! Pancetta pizza was also very tasty with a bit of a kick. Could make better use of the outdoor area and integrate it into the inside area. Toilets not becoming of the restaurant.
Friendly service with a great beach atmosphere and live music
Amazing atmosphere. Food wasn’t good at all. Calamari was awful, chips coldish and soggy. Pizza was great
Great location, good upscale pub grub, very slow and disinterested service.
very limited menu
i wanted chicken added to my rocket salad - i have a keto diet and nothing was suitable
the waiter was like OK but came back and said i needed to order 2 dishes and take the chicken off a $30+ dish and add to salad . not really a viable option.
the eggplant dip should be renamed garlic on a plate. it was left mostly untouched and even tho the diner mentioned to the waitress it was inedible there was no response and no refund
great location - which is all this place has going for it
with so many options along this strip i wont be returning
Very good quality food, coffee not hot nor available in larger quantity - inside a bit noisy
Sensational day out with friends, friendly venue, great cocktails! Good vibe
Loved our meal last night. Fantastic venue. Will be visiting again
Lovely staff who are always accommodating (when we asked for the outside door facing the beach to be closed because we were sitting in a draft from it, immediately a sign was on the door and it was closed) and attentive; consistently good food; warm on cold days and cool on hot days; just a great place to take family and visiting friends.
Had great staff and awesome service
We love Republica. The outside area is lovelier (especially the hanging chairs) but it was cold and wet so we were inside. Nice decor and great food
I found Republica a little disappointing. I am sure it is a lovely place on a summer's day but it was a little cold last night.
The service was excellent and the Cabernet Sauvignon from the Barossa was delicious.
I had the Pappardelle pasta, rich slow cooked beef, orange and salted ricotta which was rich but it was not hot enough.
The food we ordered from the available menu was nice. It was overpriced for the actual food but considering the restaurant's location it was expected.I wished there were more menu options or variety as it was quite limited.
The waiting staff was very attentive but it was a quiet winter night so I wonder what it would be like in summer.
You enjoy good food on a great sunny day with the best, refreshing views.
Great food, staff rude to each other in earshot of customers however lovely to customers.
Fast easy meal before a show at the Palais Theatre
was not expecting the venue to be so packed, there was a huge line for the bar and was hard to walk around but once we were seated at our table it was a lot less stressful. the food was amazing and so was the service. very trendy with a lot of younger well dressed people. I would recommend this place only if you don't mind crowds and a lot of noise.
