We went for afternoon tea. We had a 2:00 reservation, and were not served food until 3:00, only after my prompting. We had pre-paid with a voucher, but we were then given a bill for taxes and a very healthy tip that had already been charged. Ultimately, $170 for very little food. The servers were attentive and polite, but there were only two of managing the entire room.

Three of us went for our birthdays. The room is really pretty and historic. The service was very good and the tea food was nice, not super original but tasty. There were many people having tea which was fun, who wants to sit in a room alone? The bonus was there was a pianist who played the whole afternoon and she was excellent, so wonderful background music to have! Plenty of food and tea so the price is on average with what I would expect to pay for afternoon tea. The staff never rushed us so we ended up staying 3 hours.
I would recommend this tea venue for someone who likes going downtown and would like to try somewhere new to go.

I don’t usually drink hot tea, but I thought it would be fun to go with a friend. I enjoyed the experience so much that I will go back in the near future. In our busy lives, we tend to get our beverages in to-go cups, so to sit back and relax in a beautiful setting was a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, as was the tea selection. Also want to add the service was excellent—our servers were friendly and attentive.
