Took forever to get food with only 4 tables total. It took a hour to get our food and came out over cooked and cold.

The food was delicious, and the service by our server Diane was impeccable!

This restaurants is just wonderful, from the moment you walk in the hostess is sweet and welcoming. Donna was our server and she went above and beyond to give us the best service, as well as everyone else from the staff. The chef personally assisted us and he was delightful as well as the food. Our experience was just wonderful! Will definitely be back.

We felt safe with COVID protocols being being followed and monitored.
We were also made t feel that our business was appreciated.

Service was excellent. They had a special porterhouse steak that was just perfect. Always enjoy coming here.

We were in Las Vegas for Christmas and wanted a great meal. The filets were the best! Everything we ordered came out wonderful and the service was outstanding.

Great place for a romantic dinner for two. The wait staff were super attentive, courteous and friendly. Elegant decor/ambience and the food was A-Mazing! Just the right portions, excellently prepared and served.

Limited menu due to COVID. Some favorite items were removed from menu and replaced. (Chocolate cake, spinach salad, ciabatta bread / olives replaced.)

Food quality and presentation were top notch. New York strip and crispy pork shank were delicious and perfectly prepared.

Arrived 15 minutes early for reservation and were immediately seated. Dining area very attractive and comfortable.

We were disappointed as it is known for prime rib yet was completely out of prime rib by 7:10pm. Thus made other choices as we did not have time to go elsewhere for prime rib. But they were delicious

Service from Jesus was very poor. When told there was no prime rib, he said he would give us a few minutes to make another selection. He did not return for 25 minutes. He never checked on us and we had to get salt and pepper off of a table that had not been COVID sanitized or cleared because our food was getting cold and he had disappeared again. We had to run to our next event because even getting the check from him took forever. We had to go to the front desk to ask about our check 1x and to another waiter a 2nd time. Dinner took 1 3/4 hours which is crazy considering we did not do dessert or multiple cocktails.

As you readers know, I eat here all the time. I am writing this review again to give you the status of this place during this Covid-19 pandemic. All ops at the Cal have changed. Lots of new operating practices and safety practices. Also, slower service for everything due to either less staff working, or the staff having more to do these days. The Cal has only the Market Street Cafe and the Redwood open. Market Street has lots of changed procedures -- no buffet, very limited menu, oxtail soup only till 6 am now, no condiment and sauce caddy on table, etc. etc. BUT AT LEAST AT THE REDWOOD, IT SEEMS EVERYTHING IS THE SAME!!! ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THEY TOOK AWAY THE PLACE MATS -- BUT YOU STILL GET GREAT SERVICE, SAME MENU SELECTIONS, SAME BAR SELECTIONS, SILVERWARE, CLOTH NAPKINS, ETC. ETC. IT IS STILL PRETTY DAMN GREAT. AND HENRY PROVIDED A GREAT FATHER'S DAY DINNER! THE 24 OZ, BONE-IN PORTERHOUSE STEAK WAS DELICIOUS, ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY COOKED IT PERFECTLY AS I ASKED -- CHAR-RARE!

Went for Father’s Day dinner. Food was very good. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Vegas.

We always have a great meal at the Redwood. Steaks are grilled perfectly and the side dishes are incredible. They also offer corkage service at a reasonable price if you bring your own wine. This is extremely important to us as we live in wine country and prefer to drink our own local wine.

Did not like the continuous smell of cigarette smoke coming in as restaurant is inside a casino.
Also strange Polynesian style music playing all the time.

If you just want a really good steak at a “reasonable for Vegas price” go, you will not be disappointed. Sides of mashed potatoes and mushrooms nicely prepared.

Great food at a reasonable price for Vegas. Very friendly staff but need some training on how to properly serve food. Example is that server should not reach over one diner to serve another diner.

Redwood is the best restaurant in downtown Vegas and one of the best values around. Prime rib is outstanding.

Great food at reasonable prices. Service was outstanding as well. The complimentary olive/onion/pepper appetizer was a nice compliment and the bread is unbelievably good - the best I've had anywhere.

Our "go to" restaurant every time we are in Vegas. The dishes are always delicious and the service is sttentive. If you have a meal coupon book and decide to eat at Redwood Grill, you can always use your dinner coupon to deduct a few dollars from your meal.
The olive dish and bread served before your meal is delicious and the best part...it's included in the price of your meal.
The ambience is quiet and elegant and it's definitely a value for your dollar.

Excellent food, large portions and outstanding service! A true gem of a place!

We frequently dine at the Redwood and the food is always outstanding. The only exception on this trip was the lamb chops which is normally very good. I thought serving the lamb chops on a bed of vegetables with a tomato base sauce was odd. For my taste, it was not a good combination. It probably would have been better with sautéed spinach. Jesus our waiter has always provided great service. Will definitely dine there again and will be sure to order the lamb chops without the tomato base vegetables.

We waited quite a bit for our server to come to our table. The manager came out, apologized, and gave us a round of drinks. From that point on, we had good service and the food was delicious.

Prime rib was spectacular. We have been trying a bunch of Las Vegas restaurants and this one tops the list. Flavor was on point and I appreciate their choice of cutlery. Some places give you serrated knives and it takes away from the dining experience when you have a hard time cutting the meat properly. Fortunately, Redwood gives you knives that cut the steak like butter.

This is the first time here. Service was excellent. One of us had the "small" cut of prime rib. It was so big we'll share it next time and it was some of the best prime rib ever! One of us had the large filet. It was good but would have been better ordered medium rare instead of medium. We split one of the biggest baked potatoes I've ever seen. The wedge salad was excellent but huge. The Maui onion soup was different from standard French onion soup but it was very good. Needless to say we couldn't do dessert. Enjoyed everything about this place. Recommend you consider sharing prime rib if you both want it.

Service was excellent. Bread and appetizers were great. 3 people in our party ordered the ribeye and it was tough and difficult to cut through. I had the filet which was good. Expected more as this place has been excellent in the past. Don’t know if we will give it another shot next time.

The restaurant had great ambience great decorum the service was outstanding and the food was great all in all a great experience before going to Smith Center

Overall the restaurant was good. Bread, fabulous. My husband's French onion soup superb. The fish was great but our husband's rib eyes were overcooked and they just ignored us. They were medium well and they ordered them medium rare! Even the manager had a oh well attitude!

This restaurant was one of the best I have visited in over 8 years. The food was wonderful - the waiter superb and the greeter friendly. We will be back!
