Redsalt Restaurant - Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley Ratings and Reviews
Stayed at the hotel and booked dinner at Redsalt. A little bit hit and miss, the entrees were good especially the chicken liver parfait. For main meal the medium rare steak was closer to blue and had to be returned. The same meat was then re cooked on the grill leaving it a little tough after a second cook. Desserts were nice. Wouldnt' recommend it as a must try but wouldn't tell anyone not to go either.
Serive was good. Food was okay but value for money was very poor. We had entree two mains and two sides with one glass of wine each and it cost $180, dont mind spending the money on good food but their food wasnt up to scratch and was luke warm when it arrived. Dont think i will be coming back.
We were celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary and the staff were extremely engaging and added to the enjoyment of the evening. We were spoiled with a glass of complimentary bubbly and dessert. The staff were very knowledgeable on local wines and understood our tastes, which was appreciated.
Disappointing. My husband asked for a medium rare steak and it was well done. I asked for the fish meal on the set menu (which sounded lovely and the reason that I picked the set menu) and I was given the fish of the day and it was just a piece of salmon, two cooked cherry tomatos and a bit of lettuce. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and didn't know much about the menu.
My partner and I had dinner there last night (5th feb) we both ordered steak with no entres. The food took 50 minutes to come out and my steak was not hot. Service was terrible, No one came to check to see how our meal was so I barely touched my steak as I wasn't going to eat steak that was not hot. After clearly finishing our meal no one had come around to clear our meals after 20 minutes, and we had to go up and pay without being asked how our meal was or if we wanted more drinks or dessert.
We came expecting a wonderful dining experience and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious with the steak cooked perfectly and the most amazing mashed potato! The kids meals were super impressive and value for money! The lamb chops and spaghetti both gobbled up by my two kids and then washed down with a trio of ice cream! We enjoyed one of our favourite local wines from ascella organic winery and ended our meal with a delicious cheese plate! Our waitress Chloe was also awesome!
