Hi there, whilst our visit to the restaurant was ok, there were definitely some areas that could improve.
The restaurant wasn't overly busy and once seated we had to wait a little too long to order some drinks. We also noticed that tables weren't monitored closely enough to know the needs of each table, we had two visits from staff member in a matter of minutes asking how we were, we had full drinks and had not long ordered, so we were fine. Then when we needed new drinks and were trying to get the attention of a staff member, no one was even glancing our way. We also felt the staff were chatting a little too much and should have provided more attention to their guests needs.
The food, was good, my beetroot ravioli was absolutely fantastic, it was really nice. However the steak received by another on our table was cold, nice, but cold.
The expectation we had coming into Redsalt was fairly high, we had heard great things and were looking forward to our dinner. Whilst the venue is nice, the staff were nice and the food was nice, there was no standout experience in our opinion. In saying this though, it wouldn't have taken much for our experience to be 5 star.
We would eat at Redsalt again if we are ever nearby, hopefully we were just there on an 'off night. Hoping this feedback is received in a constructive way, the restaurant is still a great place, i always think its best to give honest feedback so businesses and others are aware.
The food and service was fantastic
Disappointed with the kids spaghetti bolognese. It tasted like it was cooked with BBQ sauce not tomato sauce. An easy recipe that you would think this type of establishment would get correct. Otherwise, our main meals were nice. The Little dessert of 4 was a bit over rated and didn't offer a range of flavour. Fine if you like chocolate. Service was excellent and staff took the child's meal back with no problems.
We had booked a romantic and pretty expensive get-away for the weekend. It happens very rarely when you have been married for 18 years and have two kids. We were staying in a villa and were looking forward to an intimate dinner for two.
We were hoping for something special in Redsalt, but it felt like we just in a nice diner/canteen somewhere. Not a five star restaurant! The restaurant was brightly lit, had no ambiance, it wasn't busy, which was nice. the food served was nice but mediocre. Not as as good as its relatively expensive price-tag. The steak was a bit bland and the sauce served with it a bit runny and watered down. The fish, that I had was lovely and the portion was just right!
Excellent meal. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The meal was delicious and well priced for what we got.
Entrees were very good, main meal which was steak very ordinary, steak was chewy, deserts very ordinary, drink service was very slow.
Not enough staff working on the Easter Long Weekend. Food is so so. And we waiting very long time for every food coming.
Even though not all tables were occupied, dishes were served very very slow.
Food were ok. Only course menus were available during to Easer weekend...
Great variety at Seafood Buffet, staff were friendly and attentive. Nice family friendly atmosphere if you book in for earlier time. Will be back!
Very nice place to eat, friendly staff and nice food.
Seafood buffet was a BIG let down. Advertised as a Graze & Repeat but the options were limited & not very inviting. Salmon was overcooked, squid undercooked. Dessert buffet a huge let down all items tasteless & horrible. Kingfish sashimi the only highlight.
Don’t know if it was value for money
Get the same buffets for half that cost
Enjoyed the seafood buffet. Would recommend to everyone. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Will dine here again.
The staff at Red Salt were very professional and helpful as we had young children. The meal was excellent and we will be back in the future for a special occasion.
Very disappointed with this ‘restaurant’.
It is advertised as a fine dining experience, but it’s very sloppy.
I ordered a rack of lamb and was told I could not get it rare, just pink. However, other people I was dining with could order a rare steak.
The ‘rack of lam’ was just two cutlets that had not been separated. Generally when you order a rack of lamb it is butterflied.
They forgot several different courses and we had to wait a VERY long time for the food to come out.
The waitress was a little rude, kept sloshing our wine everywhere when she poured it.
Overall a bad experience.
It was beautiful thank you for the great service and outstanding food
Went for my mother in law's 70th Birthday. Food was Excellent Staff were fabulous all in all a terrific evening!! The wagu scotch to die for!!
Had a very nice meal, great location and service was first class. I would recommend Red Salt to all family and friends. We hadn't been there for a couple of years however will not be leaving such a period of time in the future.
Consistently delicious food and exceptional service!
I think the service was great, the menu was good atmosphere was suitable for the occasion not too noisy overall I would recommend it to my friends thank you for making us feel at home
Great tasting food and fantastic presentation such a great first experience. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice experience with good food
The two of us came as a girls night away to enjoy a quiet and yummy meal, which is exactly what we got. We loved the relaxed feel, especially as the sun was setting. The service was attentive and friendly, and wine top ups were perfectly timed. Both the Liver and Prawn entrees were delicious, though I believe that the prawn dish could have done with 4 instead of 3, considering the amount of brioche on the other plate. We both loved our steaks, which were cooked perfectly, and commented on how generous the mash serving was. The desserts were decadent, delicious and perfectly presented. Overall the experience was lovely and memorable. We have already recommended it to lots of people, and will surely be back.
Fabulous food with great service - very very nice :-)
Absolutely amazing food the staff were second to none absolutely the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered made the night so much better food was very tasty and perfect portions .
Would recommend to anyone who wants a great night out
It was my wifes birthday and there was a very special surprise at the end of the meal
Thank you all so much for a wonderful dining experience
Friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff, excellent quality food, and a lovely anniversary surprise from the chef. Highly recommended.
The food and service was excellent, the only thing I could fault was no olives in the greek salad.
Best experiences I’ve had so far! Food was perfectly cooked. Just the overall standards is A+. Can not fault, will definitely dine again
Some of the staff were very abrupt with us.
We had booking at 7:30pm on a Thursday night.
Ordered 2 course set menu and it took 45min for our first course to arrive, desert arrived at 9pm. No appoligies offered until we went to pay. We did not go there again for dinner for the rest of our stay.
For me I was expecting fine dinning but it is not. May have miss read the blurb. Food was good but not what I expected.
Food was amazing, probably shouldn't have had the entree because I couldn't finish my main meal...that being said they were both absolutely delicious thank you
We were very disappointed in the whole show. We planned to eat there again but will look further afield during our stay.
Firstly, the staff were amazing. We ordered a 3 course set menu while staying over for the first time at Crowne Plaza. Overall the food experience was OK.
Awesome food and service. We all had a different meal and the cocktails are amazing
Stayed at the hotel and booked dinner at Redsalt. A little bit hit and miss, the entrees were good especially the chicken liver parfait. For main meal the medium rare steak was closer to blue and had to be returned. The same meat was then re cooked on the grill leaving it a little tough after a second cook. Desserts were nice. Wouldnt' recommend it as a must try but wouldn't tell anyone not to go either.
Serive was good. Food was okay but value for money was very poor. We had entree two mains and two sides with one glass of wine each and it cost $180, dont mind spending the money on good food but their food wasnt up to scratch and was luke warm when it arrived. Dont think i will be coming back.
Great food, friendly service, good value all served in a reasonable time so we could go back to our room to sleep off the wine festival. Great day & night away.
I found the staff, and service to be very professional.
The menu choice was good and I really enjoyed the meals.
Very nicely cooked food!
The service and setting at Red Salt is superb. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the food was creative and very tasty. Will definitely return!
We were celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary and the staff were extremely engaging and added to the enjoyment of the evening. We were spoiled with a glass of complimentary bubbly and dessert. The staff were very knowledgeable on local wines and understood our tastes, which was appreciated.
Disappointing. My husband asked for a medium rare steak and it was well done. I asked for the fish meal on the set menu (which sounded lovely and the reason that I picked the set menu) and I was given the fish of the day and it was just a piece of salmon, two cooked cherry tomatos and a bit of lettuce. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and didn't know much about the menu.
