It was my birthday. We arrived at 5pm and were given the lunch menu. 5pm is not lunch time. Not even offered a drink while discussing the menu and trying to decide what we could have. Had to bother chefs for dishes off dinner menu. Still not even shown dinner menu. We were the only ones in the restaurant cant be that hard to get service. Wont be going back there.

Group of 8 not wanting a set menu but we received so much more. The quality of food was outstanding and we will be back again and again. All very reasonably priced. Something for everyone.

Had the Feed Me menu ($69 option) - and couldn't fault it! The first dish came out super fast, which was unexpected. But after that, the food came at a really good pace. Great venue for groups of 8-10, or for a special occassion.

Have been Red Spice Road several occasions with friends and it has never let me down. Great Asian inspired foods and services. Ambience is stylish and offering great experience. Can't recommend further, must go to those haven't been there.

We had a $79 banquet which was ok. The food felt like it had been prepared hours before - not particularly fresh. The overall experience was ok. The service was good and there was a lively atmosphere but if you're a foodie, I wouldn't bother.

Been there before & it was great, this time it was terrible. Too noisy (last time we went when it was quieter), very expensive & staff were quite rude at times. We had a banquet & because I was gluten free, they gave me the same fish for two dishes, and it was very dry. I was disappointed. I had recommended red spice road for this group meeting but I quite was embarrassed about how expensive & poor value for money that it was. The staff member bought out a carafe of wine, which we didn't order & she got grumpy when I explained, so we ended up keeping it to avoid an argument. Probably won't return for sometime.

Always enjoy the food there. Pork belly, lamb ribs, just can not get enough of them. Love their cocktail as well. Very delicate and lots of varieties. My husband and I always go there for a casual date or bring a group of friends there. Nice atomesphere!

The food was exceptional, have never eaten this version of south east Asian cuisine. Being a vegetarian I was always limited by options, but the food I ate at red spice was AMAZING!

Never disappoints, on a leisure weekend in Melbourne & had not been to RED SPICE ROAD for 5 years - my 50th birthday celebrations. WOW, as good if not better than 5years ago. Cannot wait to return again in the near future.

We had a lovely dinner....food is amazing. We had a 6pm booking and were able to have a conversation until 7.30pm.....then it became very noisy.....possibly because it was an after work Friday night crowd. Still highly recommended.

We loved our experience!! The only thing we would say which is by no means a bad thing- we were too full!!! It was a great assortment of food for the banquet but maybe the dessert could be smaller as that tipped us over the edge!! But it was all wonderful and delicious!!

the food was great however the service was extremely disappointing. - Wasnt served for a long time - Mains came out before started had to send back - Starters came with one person missing, had to eat by themselves - table not cleared, plates pushed around to fit mains. - no service to ask if we wanted more drinks - empty jugs left on the table until we asked for them to be moved

Amazing food, the explosion of flavours in each dish was amazing. We loved every dish we ordered. Service not so crash hot but was OK. Our table was right at front door so away from rest of restaurant (hence why service was average as I think this table probably gets forgotten a lot) so next time I'd ask to be in the restaurant.

Exceptional tasting and presentation of food. Service very poor and seating offered to us was poor. A romantic dining experience is not to be placed on a large semi circular table sharing with 6-8 others. We requested a change of seating and that was done swiftly. Attention to service was very poor also. Ambience and vibe was good.

Booked Mother's Day lunch. Table sitting for 1:45pm was not ready for most bookings...was seated at 2:15, people everywhere. Staff avoided eye contact with guests, it was unprofessional. Placed on the a table of six even though booked for eight. Once seated table service was excellent and food outstanding. On this day a kids menu was offered but no dessert so maybe next time they should offer vanilla ice cream as children don't eat plum cake and aniseed ice cream and want dessert as well.

We went to Red Spice Road based on friends recommendations of how amazing it was, this was not the case when we dined there last night. The food and service was extremely disappointing. We had the pork belly and the barramundi and they were both dry and had hardly any flavour. We didn't even finish our meals and nobody asked us how our meal was throughout the meal or whilst paying for it. This was a special treat for us and we left feeling really unsatisfied for the amount of money we paid.

Great menu. Be sure to try the entrees and share. Brilliant mix of dining areas caters for big to small groups, intimate to partysize . Put this on the special must try list ! From Darwin I like to try new restaurants but I had to go back with my mates from interstate to share this menu we loved it
