Red Dog Saloon - Liverpool
wafer thin ribeye round, american cheese, vidalia onions
Everything as I expected, a juicy burger, great start after putting up with the wife’s food for weeks!
Really disappointing. We arrived for our booking and the waiter didn’t even have a table reserved for us. We were just told to sit on the only free table which was not big enough for our party. The table was all dirty and had not been cleaned from the previous table - with the risk of COVID this was extremely unacceptable. The male member of staff, who looked like the manager, was extremely rude to his staff and the customers also. We had only just finished our meal when he said to one of the waitresses “get them gone I need this table” as he had another group waiting in the queue with no where to seat them. The toilets were out of order due to a flooding also. The whole place was just very poorly organised and run. Definitely will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone.
Service was poor. Took too long for our order to be taken, and felt forgotten about. Food was not enjoyable.
The waitress and staff were lovely throughout the meal. We had burgers and chips which were really nice. It was no problem to the staff when I asked for my burger to be more well done than it was. They were very professional and polite . I hate ever sending food back but it is just my personal taste . They didn’t make it a problem and I enjoyed my meal.
Would highly recommend Red Dog Saloon, possibly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had along with the fries. Service was fantastic and waitresses were extremely friendly.
Probably the best tatsting burger I have ever had, and that’s no exaggeration.
Burgers undercooked.service very slow.under accommodating for wether conditions given the guidelines of new covid rules.not enough shelter.staff rude.
Boss staff, made to feel welcome, the girls doing the service were great
Took my son and his girlfriend for my sons 16th. Staff were great friendly and helpful. A bit of a wait between starters and mains. Food was delicious although a little on the steeper side and fries etc dont come with meals. Unfortunately there were no desserts so I had to take them elsewhere. Would definitely return. The louies chicken burger was amazing. Nice and tender full of flavour
Need to invest in some outdoor heating for the time being.
Excellent gorgeous food and place would definitely recommend will be back to this lovely place many thanks
Great service and burgers were delicious. Nice outdoor seating, also.
Burgers where amazing would for sure go here again
Absolutely awful. Cold food .... burgers underdone, starters were oily and cold. Mozzarella sticks and wings both cold, with oil on bottom of plate no taste on wings. Burger was far too pink, fries brought out 10 mins before the burger !! Chicken tenders stacked on a white slice of bread ? No buns available ? Very unimpressed and disgusted
Food and service was great. Really big portions and burgers were really good quality. Sitting outside due to restrictions, would have been good to have some overhead coverage/umbrella's as it was quite rainy.
Overall though would definitely go again
Food was lovely. We ordered 2 lunchtime menu deals but we got charged full price for it instead but we paid anyway.
We have never been here before and when looking at pictures online of the food. We was expecting it not to look the same in person. However, this took us by surprise and it was exactly like the pictures show. It was the tastiest burger I have ever had. The cocktails where amazing and the mac and cheese was to die for! I honestly couldn’t of wished for a better place to go.
Obviously, due to lockdown. The location outside isn’t ideal as you get lots of people walking up and down the busy street watching you eat your food. Apart from that I would recommend this to anyone.
We drove all the way from Leeds for this meal as I have been a couple of times myself and nowhere does burgers like The Red Dog. Absolutely banging.
Food was amazing fantastic service staff were helpful
Amazing food and service and would recommend to all
For the price of the platter the amount of food for 2 people is pretty poor
The food and service was amazing. Staff ensured everything was to our standard. Fully Recommend
Food was good value for price, drinks were lovely the only thing was it was cold but not the restaurants fault
First dinner date post lockdown 3, we really enjoyed our food and our service. It did rain slightly and due to restrictions we had to dine outside but that still didn’t ruin it. The chilli burger is gorgeous!
Staff was lovely !! Will definitely go again :)
Unfortunately this time going to red dogs was very underwhelming. We arrived and was given a seat next to the door which we specified on the booking we didn’t want (as it was a very cold night and we didn’t want the draft coming and going every time someone came in and out) there was plenty of room on the second floor of the restaurant which we was told we couldn’t sit in by the owner- we weren’t sure why because other people was up there.
A man who looked like the owner then abruptly stated the rings that were unavailable on the menu (which I attempted to order later on and they were available)
We was then served by a young man who stood with his arms folded when taking our order, without a pen and paper may I add, I found this very intimidating and struggled to place my order easily- the order wasn’t read back to us either so we have to get the menus again and add to the order which was inconvenient. If this had been done correctly, the order had been placed with a pen and paper and with someone helpful we wouldn’t have had this problem.
To add to all of this, a young lady came over to ask if everything was okay with our meal. We asked politely if we could have some extra sauce and we was given a glare with a very unpleasant eye-roll. This continued for the rest of the night when ordering drinks off the same lady.
So sadly, this time at red dogs was not as pleasant as usual. We have never had this issue when visiting the restaurant before, me and my partner usually really enjoy our night there but the staff this time round were useless & rude!
Yummy food, friendly staff just a little bit of a wait for drinks.
Average at best. Waitress couldn’t be bothered. Not helpful at all.
Food was greasy and not what I expected, wouldn’t come back.
Food looks better than it tasted
Hickory burger was delicious. Service fantastic. This was recommended and I would definitely recommend. Thanks for a great night.
Excellent service and amazing food! Staff so friendly and accommodating! Can not recommend enough!
Lovely food and great service bit on the loud side
Awful food was freezing cold and service was slow, stuck in a corner and forgotten about!
Service was poor throughout meal. Constantly asked staff for different aspects throughout meal. The food was nice although is expensive for what it is. Would be nicer if staff more attentive.
Over priced and service was not great. Was very disappointing
Great food, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Would definitely return.
Red dog saloon was amazing very friendly staff, food was gawjus philly steak burger was one of the best have had in a long time. Highly recommended place to visit. Family was very pleased.
Really nice clean place, food service is fast and the foods amazing, drinks are nice too also really friendly foh staff.
not a nice dining experience - chicken greasy (placed on a slice of cheap white bread to soak it up) covered in 'cajun/chilli powder so much you had to shake it off the coating, mac and cheese was sent back as it was inedible. Checked bill at the end and found we were charged £17 for two slices of beef brisket as part of the 'tray'. In small print on the menu it says it must be a minimum of 200g so not £8.50 at all!!! - very misleading. Staff told us lots of people were caught out by this. refused to pay it and got service charge knocked off bill. Left a tip for the poor young man who had to deal with all this though no fault of his. considering there are two dozen eating places within 200 hundred yards of this place...I would avoid it.
