Combination of non-emulsificated super light chicken soup and seafood soup. Blended with a variety of soy sauces selected carefully. Served with medium thin straight noodles. With toppings of half boiled egg, bean sprouts, chicken Chashu, spinach, bamboo shoots, and spring onion. Seafood soup is made from various kinds of fish flakes, dried fish and Hokkaido seaweed. Best Japanese restaurant in Adelaide. Good variety and loads of drink options.
Was my first real try of some authentic Japanese food and was very impressed. The food was amazing!
Tasty food excellent value. Great for groups. Good drinks selection
Delicious food, well-priced, excellent attentive service.
Best janpanse restaurant in Adelaide
Great Japanese food at great price. Perfect for before-the-show meal.
Drinks service a little slow but that’s only fault we have.
Want to go back and try a banquet
Food was very good. The environment needed a bit of maintenance but was still nice.
Staff were friendly and meals came quickly
Have been here before with friends and was very good. However went there on Sunday night for dinner and was a little disappointed.
We were one of the first groups in for dinner however our food took about an hour to arrive. We saw a few other tables enter after us, get their food and then leave before our food even arrived.
I am normally understanding however not one staff member came up to our table to check on us and probably wouldnt have been to fussed if they had perhaps offered us another drink.
Food is great and their drink selection is great and similar to what I remember ordering when in Japan.
Unsure if it was just that night but I did notice other tables wernt to impressed as well.
Amazing Japanese Slipper cocktail and heavenly ramen. One of the best gyoza ever!
Came in on anniversary occasion, noticed when reserving the table. However, the table is very greasy and sticky and told us can not supply wagyu beef because of low stock. Very disappointed when we came in for wagyu beef especially. Not recommend, will go elsewhere next time.
By far the best quality sushi and sashimi you can get in Adelaide. Authentic Japanese Restaurant unlike so many of the sushi spots run by Chinese. Don’t go anywhere else if you’re craving high quality sushi.
We had to wait so long for our meal. Ice cream was all melted.
The food was very slow in arriving. More than 30 minutes for each subsequent order.
Excellent food and great prices. Without a doubt the best ramen in town!
Great authentic Japanese food, seriously lacking in table service when it comes to getting more than one drink, isn’t that where you value ad ($) in your business or any food business for that matter, would recommend, we throughly enjoyed our dinner here.
Food fabulous service very slow cocktails not good
The food was amazing as always and the service was prompt and friendly.
A lot of options to choose from which made it very hard to choose! Drinks list was extensive as well and good specials if you are in early enough. Was busy but didnt feel crowded and you could still have a conversation with your group without shouting. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu
Very nice Japanese food
He’s to find a good ramen but theirs was pretty good.the agdeshi tofu was very nice
Maybe some nice Japanese music would liven the place up a little but overall was good
Will be going back to try more on the menu.
Fun Japanese bar/restaurant with well priced bar-style snacks and mains in authentically familiar atmosphere and good music. Comprehensive drinks list featuring many sake choices - be there for happy hour and make it even better value
Delicious food vegetarians and vegans catered for good drinks menu
Wonderful food and experience. Excellent staff. Definitely will book again soon.
The food was just amazing. We loved every dish we ordered and the ambience was just lovely. Loved the sake taster. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Made for a perfect 22nd anniversary evening.
Great place good food will definitely go there again.
All the staff that we met were friendly. We like the atmosphere: very relax and not too noisy. Noodles were delicious. Portions were bigger than we expected, and we could not finish all. We certainly will go back to try other dishes.
This place is just amazing, the food is delicious.
The Ramen is just one of the best in Adelaide.
Now, you may see the service got 3 out of 5, this isn't necessarily overall service but there was one large mistake. my friend who is a vegetarian ordered a vegetarian dish and they accidentally gave a seafood dish instead. (Which was also yummy... For me that is) Other than that the service was pretty good.
They have space for large groups and smaller private areas for small groups. This I love.
The restaurant decor is a little tired. Service needs to be more attentive. Food was average but fairly priced for the quality. Long wait for food. Ok on the evening but will have to forget this experience before I’d think of returning- other, better Japanese places in Adelaide around the same price point.
Forgot one of our mains. Wait staff become scant after they take your order.
The food was lovely (although maybe the softshell crab was a bit greasy) but the inattentive service is something the restaurant should address. We had booked and although it was not a busy evening our table was not ready/clear when we arrived and that really set the tone for service for the rest of the meal - for example, waiting ages to place a drinks order. Our recommendation is based on if you wanted to duck in for a bowl of ramen but I wouldn't book for a group or for a special occasion.
The quality of the food was not great and nor was the service. The fruit flies that surrounded our table were more attentive than the staff. They did not ask if everything was alright with our meal when they removed plates from the table with hardly touched food on it. When we asked for the check we could have easily walked out after waiting 15 mins before asking for it once again. The restaurant was not busy so there really was no excuse.
The Best Ramen in Adelaide!!!! Really nice atmosphere
Food was amazing. pork chashew incredible! service though is rather substandard. we ordered extra chashew, and we only got 1 extra serving (asked for 3). we had to ask 3 times before it actually came out. aditionally we gave up asking people for the bill at the end after asking 3 times, and just went up to the register instead. My motto: go there for the food, not the service.
We were having friends from overseas and sitting in the Tatami room. The atmosphere was good, the food and the service were excellent. The head chef Mr Shozo Ikeda came into the room and say hello and explain the Robata beef (wagyu beef marble 9). I give Himeji 5 star. Gambatte and keep it up.
Best ramen we've ever had!! The chashew pork was literally melt in your mouth! Will definitely be visiting again
Very reasonably priced, friendly staff and great food.
Food was okay but a bit pricey especially with 10% surcharge on public holiday
The food was fantastic, most impressed with the deluxe sashimi with so many varieties of fresh seafood.
The service however was appalling slow, we had to ask the staff SIX times to take our order over 20 mins. Kept on saying “just a minute”, eventually had to stand up and speak loudly to the boss and he eventually asked someone else to come and take our order. Food was fantastic but the order was back to front, all the mains and hot food and ramen came first, after very long waits (and again had to chase them up three times) did our entrees and sashimi arrived (which we were stuffed already and didn’t feel like eating anymore as the wait had been too long).
The food honestly is fantastic and credit to the kitchen but the wait staff was a mess, hopefully was just a once off bad experience that we had.
Food and service were great, even during busy times. Had ramen one time in the past which had great value and taste. Went for the some Japanese bbq (mainly yakitori) dishes this time - although it tasted good, a cheaper set deal would be nice. Additionally the vegetable tempura felt like it was lacking in value (might be because of the small amount of food served in a big dish though). The 10% surcharge on the public holiday came as a surprise at the end though (would have been nice to be notified earlier). Otherwise a good experience.
