Rainforest Cafe - Chicago Woodfield
**We are keeping the adventure going during some mall construction, please use alternate mall entrances.**
Our server was great! Food was great! Seating was tight. 10adults squeezed into what we considered too small of a space. We had a reservation and priority was given to those with reservations at the check in station. Our visit was for a birthday celebration and options of special services were given at check in.
The food was good, but was way over priced. I know you are paying for the experience as well but I still didn't see the total value. I'd like to see how the balloon animal team prioritized their tables, after visiting the table next to us, he told us it wasn't our turn yet and he would be back, but he never came back. Left our 3 year old fairly disappointed.
Nice, fun place - good menu but when we were there they wer every short staffed and our server had to do triple duty. He worked hard being server, helper and bartender. Menu could use more vegetarian options.
We went to celebrate my 6 year old’s birthday. The atmosphere is great, and the kids loved seeing all the animals. The wait staff was very friendly, and even brought my daughter a cupcake to celebrate her special day. But the food was average at best. I enjoyed my fish tacos but all other meals that we ordered were very forgettable. The kids pizza was on crust that was tasteless. For the cost, it wasn’t worth it . It will probably be quite a while before we go back again.
We were seated at a booth and waited 35 minutes before a server actually came to bring some water and ask us our order. The food was alright, nothing great. Overall not a great experience.
Service was awful, food was served cold, we were ignored. We will not be going back.
Great time as the summer is coming to an end.
Value of the food does not reflect the quality or the taste. Since this location is inside the mall you have other options of restaurants that might have better food than here and at lower prices. This is a place to go for the overall style and decorations but I was not impressed. The server was nice and the manager did come over to check up on us.
Based on atmosphere only. Food is only okay, and very expensive. Service is on the slower side.
I would definitely recommend this Rain Forest Cafe great service and great food. The manager Alex introduced himself to our table. My family is visiting from Mexico and were very pleased with service and amazed with the food.
The ambiance and fun of the place are amazing. It's quiet enough that you can have a conversation, but pretty lively. Kids like the animatronics and special effects. The food is good, but the price is about twice what it would cost at a comparable sit down restaurant without the attractional extras. If you are willing to pay for it - and you think of it as dinner and a show - it is worth going here for special occasions or for the entertainment of it.
Loved the food and ambience, except the service guy was rude to give back the tip offered to him saying we disrespected him, tip is a tip could be anything and should be acceptable else put it on the check
We have always liked going here with our Grandkids. This time the food was just OK. The price
of the food and drinks was on the high side. We probably wont go here again, as the food was
just OK and the Price on all the meals and drinks was way to high.
Nice place to eat and have a birthday party. The server was nice and kind to us.
They forgot about us having a bday , and food was just ok.
Alcoholic slush drink has no flavor. Prob will not return
Great place to go! Friendly staff, very good food. Lots of choice.
Service was good, food was ok not for the price u pay though for that price i would rather eat at Dell Frisco downtown and travel 30 more minutes out of my way to get there
The service was terrible, the food came out at all different times. The kids food came out before the adults drinks (just ice tea) overall experience was not good
Great fun for the kiddos to celebrate a birthday with great grandma. All of us enjoyed our food.
Great restaurant for those with children having food allergies. They take extra care to keep them safe
It had a lot of food to choose from , very kid friendly and is cheap!
We went for our granddaughters birthday. She had a great time. A great place for kids.
Terrible service. Waited over 20 minutes for beverages and over an hour for food. The restaurant was empty and waitstaff was gathered around socializing instead of working. 0/10 would not recommend.
Kitchen was very slow. Food was OK once we were served.
Food was salty covered in butter and disgusting. Staff was rude. Balloon man stood at our table asking for tips, after we apologized for not having cash. Overall disgusting. Table and chairs dirty and sticky.
Birthday! Balloon man walking around made the kids day!
As a vegetarian I miss more variety but what I love about TRFC is the ambience so It is a tradition in our annual visit to Chicago!
Salad was soggy and way overpriced at $17. Make prices more affordable for families!
Unfortunately we had a very terrible experience with the service. Our server was not very friendly and seemed to be annoyed with us the minute we sat down. She seemed to be very friendly to other tables but for some reason not to us, I have no idea why as I and my fiancé are always very polite to servers and I know how working in restaurants can be. It was the worst experience I ever had and was incredibly uncomfortable the whole time. The only reason we stayed was because my fiancé was very hungry and wanted to see if things would improve but never did. I will not be going back for a very long time. It’s upsetting because it was a place we used to like. The only one we will be going to is the one in Disney as I know they will provide exceptional service.
Vacation stop in Schaumburg
This was my grandson's first visit to the Cafe and he thoroughly enjoyed all the animals and storms.
The place is just dirty. Maybe take a rag to the booths chairs and tables. And clean the floor gross
Fun for kids, but for how much you pay I would expect more quality and timely service.
It’s a fun experience for kids. But the food is awful, our service wasn’t great (over 2 hours spent there) and it was quite expensive which was a bummer since the food was actually not good.
Glow dinner night for kids was really nice! The staff was exceptional. Cha Cha took pictures with the children and everything was nice! Someone made balloon tiaras and that was really nice as well! The food is always good.
We always enjoy the rainforest cafe Woodfield. Evelyn has been our server twice and she’s great! Liza makes us feel like family.
Poor service and mediocre food. The kids like the environment, but it's not worth the price.
Outside of our server it was a horrible experience for my family. The ribs were partially frozen still and the steak was way over cooked. The server never put in my order for the appetizer. When I alerted the manager she insulted me with $10 off my bill. I didn’t make her aware for a discount I made her away because she was the manager. My party of 4 left with full plates on the table and I still tipped the waitress. Never again will I spend $125 for food like that.
For kids the animatronics and balloon guy were great. Drinks weren’t bad. Service has always been good. What I can’t get over is how bad the food is for such a successful restaurant. Tacos were pre-cooked and reheated, the side was reheated, and the kids pizza and nuggets were obviously frozen and microwaved. Anyways, it was for the kids. That’s about the best summary I’ve got.
