   A very disappointing experience. We had booked a table for dinner after an event, but when we arrived we were told that our booking for a table wasn’t able to be honoured and we were seated at the bar. The bar surface was sticky and smelled like stale beer. We weren’t brought any water. The food was also disappointing - the batter of eggplant chips was quite stodgy and the carrots were bland and over-boiled. The bar tender did a good job of trying to keep an eye on us and supplement the floor service as much as they could. Not recommended.

   A lovely Sunday afternoon spent with friends at Queenie's. Warm and welcoming and wonderful service.Fantastic live music and omg the eggplant chips!!!!!

   Had to ask to serving staff to place order. Food came very quickly and was delicious. Small table for four did not suit sharing plates. Had made a booking four days prior and the table we were seated at did not have enough space for three plates of food, water and a drink each. Very noisy and door was constantly left open which was not good on a cold night. Overall will not come back on a weekend evening. Will only do week nights to get better service.

   The food, drinks and staff are brilliant. Attentive service that’s not intrusive, we appreciate how great the staff are at Queenies. There is lots of mediocre out there so it’s refreshing to meet friendly and professional people that make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive!! The food is innovative and always high quality and the cocktails are tasty. Highly recommend!!

   I was seated at the bar as I was dining alone. Unfortunately it took some time for my drink order to be taken I , but when it arrived it was delicious. The food service was much quicker, highly recommend the eggplant chips they were outstanding. The bar has an extensive range of spirits, my drink of choice is gin and the staff were pretty knowledgeable about their range. The manger apologised for the initial wait for service and very kindly provided my second drink for free. Overall lovely evening. Although they were quite busy I could tell the staff enjoyed working there.

    We ordered five share plates. The halloumi was nice. The pork was tender but too sweet. The olive platter - bread was nice, olives were scarce and whipped broad bean was even scarcer. The corn ribs lacked flavour and the Queen fish was inedible. We experienced prompt service on arrival, a little disappointed they seated three of us on a table for two (yes we booked in advance and there were many other empty, larger tables). However, once the first drinks were delivered and the food arrived, trying to obtain utensils to serve the shared platters or further rounds of drinks proved almost impossible. The dinner and serving plates weren’t cleared, we stacked them up ourselves to try and make some space and stayed that way until we left an hour or so later. A shame really as the location is great but we won’t be back!

    I’ve been to Queenies a few times now for Tapas. It’s very relaxing if you go early say 4:30pm and then it gets busy 7pm onwards. Food and service great!

    Food was delicious, as were drinks from the eye-catching bar but staff were a little scattered and interrupted more often than necessary. Food came before drinks so timing was all just a bit off. Our table was mistaken for another’s anniversary… Love the decor though.

    Great customer service, food and drinks. Only main issue, we were placed near the bar and found people lining up at bar was knocking into us. Staff need to be more vigilant of space and movement of customers. Otherwise had a great night.

    We booked a table of 10 for a birthday celebration and the food,staff and atmosphere was amazing! My friend is a coeliac and Queenies were able to accomodate our party with delicious food without issue. It’s so refreshing to go to restaurant where staff “get it and get it right “. The staff also organised the whole restaurant to sing Happy Birthday when they brought out the birthday cake which they happily stored for us. Our whole table just had such a lovely night and we will definitely be coming more often! Amazing - Queenies don’t stop what you are doing!!

    Had a friend (vegan) visit from Melbourne, and had to go somewhere that catered for his dietary requirement, plus my partner’s allergies (peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, eggs). Thanks queenies for being so flexible!!

    We shared the small plates of halloumi in honey and lemon, eggplant chips in a light tempura batter and miso-glazed eggplant. The service was exquisite and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. We’ll be back.

    Nice enough place. Staff were pleasant but we didn't receive three if the dishes we ordered - we were a table of 3 people Food was average at best, terrible for at least one dish.

    Queenies has a fun art deco vibe with vintage mirrors, smoky glass, wood panels and plush finishes. We sat at a booth with green velvet and enjoyed sparkling Rose, hand cut chips and tacos. The service was a little slow even though they weren't busy.

    Food was great. Service was slow and very forgetful. Ended up cancelling the rest of our drink orders and going elsewhere. They took some $ off the bill for the inconveniences over the night.

    Vegetarian set menu was delicious, each course was amazing. Staff were very friendly and accommodated a peanut allergy without a problem. We'll be back to taste the rest of the menu!

    Table for 4 outside so quiet. Service was good but became sporadic as the venue became busier. Food was very tasty but fairly small portions (we all shared 5 dishes). Great drinks selection. Overall good experience, would definitely go back.

    A place with a great vibe in Canberra .... at last!!!!! Great space for drinkies in South Canberra - a place like Queenies is SO NEEDED in this area - great interior, friendly staff, fab food - at last a place with a cool vibe in Kingston and surrounds, please stay!!!!
