The varied menu focuses on modern interpretations of classic dishes such as Traditional Steak Tartare, Caesar Salad and Roasted Bone Marrow, in addition to several cuts of beef from legendary New York butchers Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats.
The restaurant's side dishes alone merit a trip with innovative house specialties, including Corn Crème Brulee, Gnocchi and Cheese and Edamame with Mint Salt. The Quality Meats chefs are Craig Koketsu (Lespinasse, Stars) as executive chef and Cory Colton (Lespinasse, St.Regis) on pastry. The restaurant has a warm industrial atmosphere, created by award-winning AvroKO and features intimate dining areas, a comfortable bar area with well-stocked charcuterie bar.

Went for my boyfriends birthday and was disappointed that they didn’t have what we wanted (the short rib) they said they were sold out and it was only 7pm. The food that we did eat was amazing as always but I was disappointed. I had made reservations with specifics this was for a birthday and when we arrived we had to wait about 20 mins to be seated on a small person table in between a lot of other parties. I wanted and expected something more intimate since it was a special occasion. We couldn’t even hear each other talk. Once we tired ordering, they informed us they were “sold out” of the item we wanted on the menu. It was the reason we came so he was disappointed. Lastly, they did nothing at all special for his birthday. Meanwhile the table beside was getting compliments after compliments and they didn’t even offer a dessert.
It was so delicious for the dry aged steak that I got to eat. However, the price is a little bits expensive.
Quality Meats has been our favorite steakhouse in New York since we first came across it in 2009 and it will stay that if it continues to be such an excellent dinner experience!
Place was really cool
Inside. We where in and out in one hour, kind of quick. Ordered a medium porterhouse for two. Told waiter not medium rare. It came medium rare and precut . Not sure why chefs at steak houses like the steak rare, I want it medium, if they want it rare then they can buy the high price and eat it. Overall everything else was very good.
The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was very cool, and our waiter did a great job. Will definitely eat here again on our next visit to NYC!
Best steak my fiancé and I ever had ! The staff was so attentive and nice! Highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back.
This was our third visit to Quality Meats - (all for a special occasion). The food is excellent however EXTREMELY expensive (dinner for four was $600.00)!
Our only other issue this time around was that we were seated in a corner which was extremely dark. Should we have the occasion to dine there again I would request that we not be seated there.
We had a large group of 11. Everyone was very pleased with their meal. Would love to go back if we get to the area again.
Disappointing experience... roof leaked onto my father ... tuna tartare was too spicy... rude waiter...everyone at the table felt sick the next day. Would not recommend.

A virtually perfect meal. Service was helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Every course was delicious. The cream corn brûlée and the bacon with peanut butter and jalapeño were unique, memorable and incredible.

Excellent food and service - I had the diver sea scallops for an appetizer and followed with the bone in aged sirloin steak with the “twice baked potato” side - all were outstanding and cooked to perfection. The Old Fashioned cocktail with Whistle Pig Rye was great as well.... so good that I ordered two of them! However - bring your bank as this is an expensive meal for just one ..... total cost for the above was about $150.00 not including the 20% tip I left. Great food and experience at Quality Meats! A new favorite for my NYC visits.

Very underwhelmed. The food quantity is extremely lacking for the prices (I got the tomahawk chop) and and service was spotty at best. It was good but not anything you couldn’t find at any other steak house in New York. Will not be returning.

Steak was good. Sides were unimpressive. We wanted a Cabernet to go with our $67 steaks. The opening price point was in the $90s per bottle. Never heard of the producers, and I’m very familiar with California Cabs. Our server was not familiar with the wines. Not wanting to spend $300 to $500 for familiar names, we decided on a bottle for $100 and change. You would think in a NYC upscale restaurant a bottle of wine for $100 and change would be at least decent. It was a 2015 or 16. Loaded with tannin and not balanced. We complained but got no consideration. Had a tannin and bitter aftertaste well after the meal. Very disappointing

Service and food quality was outstanding! It’s a little pricey, but we wanted to treat ourselves.
Don't let the name dissuade you, quality applies to more than the meat. Starting with the special bay scallops and crab with avocados, it was clear that freshness and taste are key. Our bone rib steak and filet were seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. We accompanied our steak with a beautiful red and the corn creme brulee and potato chips fried in duck confit. To end the meal, the pie for 2 and the toffee pudding was so good we had to have too much. All through the night AJ made it a great dining experience. Lastly, the restaurant is just classy.

Love Quality Meats. Dined early and service was great. However the ambiant music was way too loud and the music selected did not suit the high quality of food and service. Music should be in background not way out front. Difficult to hold conversation. And staff could be more professional in how they carry themselves, not dancing and joking once patrons arrive. This aspect was most disappointing for a restaurant at this price point.

We arrived a little early and were immediately seated - the place quickly filled up but retained an intimate feel. All of our servers we're excellent, unobtrusive, attentive and cheerful. We will definitely be going back when we are next in NY.

I would have given this restaurant a 5 star review but on a Saturday night they feel like they need live music....it was SO LOUD my date and I could not talk without literally yelling. It was annoying and inconsiderate. Our sweet waitress got our order wrong on a few items due to simply not being able to hear us. I’ve waited almost 8 months to visit this place and was disappointed....
The waitress had such a large area of guests to take care of she couldn’t adequately accommodate all of us. She commented and apologized several times. The food is amazing....but the noise level is unacceptable. The butter cake is simply divine and our steaks were cooked to perfection. However, the noise RUINED it for us. Maybe next time we will try to visit on a Monday.... maybe that will be better?????
Really excellent meal! The wine director, Lewis, as well as the chef, both came out to talk with us at our table as it was a rare night that wasn’t packed! My party really appreciated the special attention and talked about the dinner for the next two days!

La comida está bien,fuimos a comer en Finde Año 10 personas,teníamos reservado a las 21 h y a las 22.45 ,nos pusieron la cuenta en la mesa sin pedirla.Nos quitaron los platos antes que todos termináremos de comer y no nos habíamos levantados todos y ya quitaban el mantel.
Parecía que estábamos en un Fastfood aunque pagamos 600 dolares x la cena.Por último había poca luz.
We had been to the restaurant before in 2011 and enjoyed it very much. We were over from the UK with our 4 teenage children for NYE and decided to book again. We had a fantastic time. Great food, drink and service. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance. The steaks are second to none !!
