A restaurant that started as a battle against the BS Manhattan food establishment has become part of the problem. Nick in the kitchen is full of himself in ways that Keller, Achatz, Ripert and other actual chefs would never dream of - denying ten year olds basic amendments to more complex menu items out of what can only be described as pure hubris, and relying on salt to do his work for him on the adult dishes. Stillman & Co need to spend more time as customers in their own dream turned factory.

Most dishes were okay. Nothing was amazing. One of us ordered the clam pasta and the pasta was very undercooked. I’m not talking about al dente because we love al dente pasta. Our desserts were very pretentious but didn’t taste that great. I would’ve expected much more for quality brand restaurants but it was not that good.

We were a group in the city for business & we went for wine week Friday lunch and we were so happy with the atmosphere, wine & food! Our favorite dishes were the ricotta with honey drizzle & creme brûlée corn. Absolutely going back next year!

Mini Family vacation in NYC and we choose QI because it was so close to our hotel, short walking distance. The food and service was great, big sharing portions. Our waiter was absolutely wonderful, impeccable customer service. We had a delicious meal. Thanks

Went to Quality Italian for Wine week which seems to be growing in popularity. Very noisy this time which I should have expected but they do not make my steak medium well anymore. Disappointing, still a good place but was not as happy with my food for the price. Got well done skirt steak that was burnt around the edges and was so crowded hard time to get my waiters attention. Paid 80 dollars for a mediocre lunch. Next time hope will be better. Rating this on past experiences.

Always enjoy QI! And am a huge fan of the chicken parm pizza! Must be kept on the menu always!!!! Would be nice if you had some less expensive bottles of wine as options on the menu...

Food is great, some of the best service at a restaurant in NYC. Tip: Some menu items are confusing/overpriced as they are listed. For example, the chicken parm is listed as "for 2" and the price per person. In all reality, the dish serves 4 with a couple sides. They charge you for 2 no matter what (if you have 3, they don't charge for 3 people), but there's no way 2 people can finish it. So just order that like you would a pizza that multiple people will split. They should really just list items like this as "family style" and charge the full amount instead of the tricky way they list it now.

Excellent brunch!! Celebrating two friends bdays. We were not ordering dessert but they brought two (complimentary) with candles lit... )so nice of them!! We loved our server!!

We've been going to Quality Italian for years for special occasions (anniversaries, Valentine's Day, etc.). We usually have an outstanding experience but this last time it felt short.

The hostess was first going to sit us at a table with a large plant hanging right on top of one of us (literally would have been on our head). We requested a new table and were eventually seated at a new table, which was great.

Our server was not very attentive and we had to make several efforts to get his attention and he did not check in on us during the meal.

We ordered dessert and unfortunately my wife was brought the wrong dessert, which we realized too late.

We did speak to a manager and he was apologetic and offered to comp us a drink or something else but we declined, as we were already ready to go.

We'll likely still return but we'll be more hesitant/not expecting the usual service we've had there.

Most of our food was outstanding. We returned to Quality Italian largely due to memories of the amazing chicken parm, but this time it was our least favorite. It was a little dry and very salty.

I actually love sitting in the room even more than I like the food, although my smoked salmon & ricotta was delicious. My only complaint - and it is hardly unique to QI - is waiters referring to me as “guys.” I am a woman of a certain age and I am not a guy. You really don’t need to call me anything - dear, hon, lady - just be pleasant and attentive. But please, NOT GUY. That’s it. Rant over.
