Had dinner here with two colleagues. We ordered three appetizers, three main courses and a desert. Appetizers included brussels sprouts, octopus and raw oysters...all (except the oysters) were unique spins on common dishes and very good. For the main courses we ordered the duck, steak and scallops and this is where dinner fell short. The duck breast was cooked properly in terms of the meat temperature, but the fat wasn't fully rendered, the steak was ordered medium rare, but was served rare (too chewy for that cut) and the scallops where over cooked. That said, the flavors where all VERY good so the impact on the overall meal was less noticeable. They have a good selection of wines and many I had not heard of or tried. We went with a California blend that was recommended after I asked about it...excellent choice. Service was VERY good.

Summary: While the kitchen missed the mark on the meats consistently, for now I will characterize this as an exception (happens from time to time) and considering the creativity and overall flavor of the food, I would go back without hesitation. This place is not cheap, but adds enough creativity to their dishes that it warrants parting with the cash.

Wonderful dinner with a big group for Restaurant Week and the staff of P & Co. couldn't be more accommodating. Really exceptional wine pairings for the Dine Out menu. Thank you Puritan & Co and we'll be back! stay well!

You can always count on Puritan and Co for a special occasion. We came in and were immediately greeted by a friendly host. We decided to try the 6-course tasting menu which was delicious. It was the perfect amount of food, leaving you full but not over stuffed. The homemade pasta course blew me away! In addition to the amazing food, the experience was made sweeter because of the friendly staff. Puritan and Co has a community feel to it and when you dine with them, you feel like you’re being welcomed into a family.

Great food! I love the chicken mostly. We were all able to share the food together. One thing I did not like was the extra charge for some of the food. What is the point of having a restaurant week if you're gonna do that?

I can make roasted chicken with carrots and farro at home, but it is NOTHING like this. Even the simplest dish soars to elevated heights here. Please do yourself a favor and spend an evening here... I chose to celebrate my birthday here and am happy I did so.

We love Puritan - as a family with a lot of Food allergies, we couldn't feel more taken care of - respected and safe. Plus the food is delicious. The service is great, and the wine is always wonderful. We will be back.

We Came for Brian mercury’s desserts. We ate four desserts. Two of them, the creampuff and the banoffee, with four stars. The cheesecake was three stars. And the Taza chocolate was one star call: not good. Overall a good experience

Overall, we had a good night out, but that was mostly due to our company and a lovely server. The food was just okay for the cost both in taste and portion, and I think we ended up paying more than necessary for drinks with the upsell to a bottle of wine vs. by the glass in terms of what we got for what we paid. Service and ambiance were great, I just think that the prices are a bit overconfident for what is delivered. This is our second time there, and I recall feeling similarly last time.

The food is amazing and always delivers. The waitress was so funny and was top notch. The hostess would not honor our request for another table that didn’t even get filled while we were dining there. Also every single chair was wobbly. They need to invest in some new chairs. We all felt like we were going to break them.

Great service, but terrible value. Entire menu is very, very expensive. The food is nothing special. Ordered 16 or 18 oz. steak for two with potatoes and rapini. I tasted some fake hickory flavor in my mouth for the entire next day, and the potatoes weren't even cooked all the way through - they had that toughness of an undercooked potato. For $75, I definitely expect more. I will probably not be going back.

One of the few places in Boston that still prepares Brussels sprouts with finesse and respect instead of deep frying my fave vegetable to death. Sure they serve a lot of hearty meat and seafood here (I have enjoyed the lamb t-bone before), but their vegetarian offerings are reliably delicious, expertly cooked, creative, and filling. Always with an important contrast of crunchy and creamy! You'll find Brussels sprouts *perfectly* charred, with a tasty spice mix and a smear of soft cheese. (It's tempting to order a second order of Brussels to go, so I can enjoy later.) The roasted cauliflower side with gremolata is toothsome right now, perfectly charred, never mushy / accidentally steamed in an overcrowded pan. {Chef fingertip kiss} The sunchoke bisque with crab was sooooo smooth and creamy with nutty sunchoke flavor! Me vegetarian partner was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and textures and tasty cheese in the best cavatelli. My only criticism is that I there was too much thick dressing on the salad (though every perfect leaf was a work of art tbh). Love this place for a romantic and delicious flexitarian-friendly dinner of large and small plates. Bonus: excellent cocktails and a diversity of beer and wines, including sherry and related styled from Jura and around the world. Ugh love this place so much.

The service and servers were excellent and super nice. The ambience and space was great (low key and quaint). The taste and smells of the food was awesome. There was one thing that could have been better. We had the grilled duck and it was the first time we had duck cooked medium/medium well. Our stomachs weren't used to it cooked that way (and felt slightly off after) so a heads up about that would be good next time. Would still go again. Overall still a great place.

The food was amazing! And it was so nice of our waitress to bring a pastry with a candle in it for my Dad’s birthday. He was so surprised and happy! My only complaint is that it was so loud in there for brunch. The music was up really high. Other than that, it was amazing.

My wife and I enjoyed a great meal this past Saturday night. This place has been on my list for awhile and it didn’t disappoint at all. In fact, probably one of the 10 best restaurant meals I’ve ever had.

We opted for the 6 course tasting menu, which was delicious and reasonably priced. Every course was excellent, but standouts included a homemade cavatappi pasta, roasted cod and a mushroom/duck/egg course that was unlike anything I’ve had before. The dessert was a really interesting flan riff that my wife liked and she almost always goes for chocolate desserts. The service was terrific — our server had only been working there 3 weeks but he knew the menu really well and made helpful recommendations on wine. The vibe was cool and there was good energy but it was quiet enough to hear each other talk.

I’d go back for sure and have already recommended Puritan to a few people.

First, we went here with an Open Table $25 dining reward. It did not work. The restaurant said this happens about 25% of the time. They took 2 glasses of wine off the bill to compensate us which they did not have to do. Get your act together, Open Table, and make sure your gimmicks work. This could have left a bad taste in our mouth that we might have transferred onto the restaurant.

That being said, we loved this restaurant and had a wonderful time. It’s an upbeat, energetic, casual restaurant with amazing food and I wish I lived around the corner so I could walk here once a week. We had the burrata with citrus and the Brussels sprouts for appetizers and the duck breast and the pasta with lamb sugo for mains. The desserts were rose cheesecake and banoffee flan. Everything was fantastic and highly recommended. The ingredients are top notch and the techniques are precise and interesting. Kudos to the pastry chef for really unusual and delicious desserts.

The pastry basket was amazing. Best cinnamon rolls I've ever had! The Boston Creme pastry was delicious as well. My burger was tasty with a perfectly cooked egg and the toast was buttery and crispy.

Great restaurant with fun but classic food. Not great options if you have common allergies, however they work to accomodate! Just end up having a lot of ingredients left out of most dishes.
