Pub Wolf & Workman Free House
All was fantastic...the terrace, the staff, the drinks and of course the food. It was our 1st visit but it won’t be our last. Cheers!
Lovely outdoor space and delicious food! We were there for brunch. No changing tables for babies in the bathrooms.
We went twice. First time for light fare. We sat in the enclosed courtyard, which is lovely. The appetizers we had were delicious. The second time was for dinner. We sat inside, which is also lovely. However, I was disappointed in the dinners. I had fish and it was over lemony tasting with a very bland cauliflower puree.
This is a good restaurant, but being in Montreal, they need to do more...
Beautiful space, but extremely slow service and few food options for a night out with friends
Very close to St. Sulpice Hotel in Old Montreal. The men in the group enjoyed all the beer options. All the food we tried was very good. I had the homemade tagliatelle pasta with tender beef and ragout -- excellent and generous portion size. I couldn't finish it all. Others had the burger and fish and said they were great. Fun, casual atmosphere with big windows open to the sidewalk.
Très bonne nourriture et excellent service mais beaucoup trop bruyant.
My family and I sat in the most beautiful outdoor patio we have ever seen! The service was nothing short of kind, friendly, and helpful. All of the food was absolutely outstanding! Would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
I loved the decor but the menu leaves a lot to be desired. It is an English Pub but not very authentic. It should have fish and chips, ploughmens plate and other English dishes. I was hungry when I got home.
This was our first dining experience at the Wolf & Workman and we really loved this pub. The menu had a good variety (not extensive but covered all the bases). We had the clam chowder poutine (which was a meal in itself!), the lamb pie and burger. The beet salad was outstanding as well. All portions generous. The service was attentive and professional. The ambience was cosy, the brick walls lended well to the overall feel of the place and the decor was stylish yet comfortable.
Great pub experience and food was great too. We will return for sure
Nice spot, quiet at lunch but we will come back on an evening.
Lukewarm Scotch eggs need I say more...except possibly frozen brocoli and cauliflower!!!
But our server was very nice and took good care of us.
Never been to Burgundy Lion but had always heard good things. Sorry to see the new addition not same level.
Cannot wait for our next visit. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Old Montreal deserves this gastro-pub! Great drinks and delicious bites.
amazing food, amazing staff! we like every moment spent here. will definitely come back 💓
the food overall was quite good and portions are generous
don’t understand loud dance music at a pub, does not fit with expectations or the decor and may prevent me from returning
Exceptional—I have recommended to everyone I know. 10/10.
Wonderful new Pub in the city
Just what you are looking for in old Montreal. A British pub with affordable food and drinks with amazing quality.
Met there with a group of friends and family for an early drinks and dinner on the Saturday. Quiet when we arrived but very impressed by the decor, stone walls, beautiful furniture leather and booths. Even at a private room that was beautifully appointed appointed Service was outstanding hope it stays that way once the place gets pretty crowded. Interesting menu with a variety of choices from Indian British to a great ribeye steak. Nice choice of draft beers but hopefully will add more selection.
