Pt Leo Restaurant
Pt. Leo Restaurants culinary philosophy is to showcase local and Victorian produce wherever possible. The wine list also has a similar philosophy where it not only showcases Pt. Leo Estate wines, but varietals from the region and greater Victoria. It is one of the few wine lists in Victoria, that is purely Victorian wines. The restaurant welcomes bookings of all sizes including generous dining options for groups of 10 or more.
The predominately local front of house staff delivers exceptional service with genuine warmth and hospitality, offering a true Mornington Peninsula experience. The staff are led and complimented by our exceptional Restaurant Manager, Ainslie Lubbock and Sommelier, Andrew Murch.
Amazing food and service, perfect birthday lunch celebration.
Magnificent view, great service and generally a great all-round experience.
A beautiful welcoming interior space and lovely sea views. Lunch booking at 2pm but waited 20min for our table to be ready. Staff refreshingly apologetic and warm. Great knowledge of food and everything on menu tasted amazing! Will definitely return.
This is the 2nd time I have been here and it did not disappoint. The views are spectacular as is the food and service. It's a little on the pricey side however this is a quality establishment with food to match so its to be expected. Surprisingly the noise level was not high at all given the high ceilings and polished concrete floor and we could engage in conversation without having to shout. Best thing was that we booked for a late lunch (2pm) so did not feel like we were being rushed by the staff waiting to turn over the table and ended up lingering over lunch for 4 hours. If you are after a place to go where you are prepared to splurge a little then I you definitely should consider going here.
Food was beautiful, but there was quite a wait between each course.
Sensational setting and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our 2nd visit within a year we throughly enjoyed our sat eveming dinner... Pt Leo Pinot 2016 just delicious! ambience is subtle & warm... we enjoyed the drunken chicken crumpet, zucchini flowers & points of lamb & fillet steak all were exquisite in favours & texture...
The service at Pt Leo was attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding and well-priced for its quality. The range of wines was pleasing - we had the Pt Leo Shiraz and it was delicious. My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary and the desserts came out with "Happy anniversary" written on the plate which was a thoughtful touch. The view of the bay from the restaurant was beautiful as were the sculptures spread out across the grounds. Would love to come back!
I asked for well done steak and t was prefect. I never order steak as its always the way a chef would like but this was spot on & the asparagus side dish was so fresh. Chardonnay 2018 was a winner as well. Thanks
Very very nice!
The menu caters for very well. There are many nice dishes and all worth trying.
Book in advance as it is very busy.
Will definitely be going back!
It was an experience, the service was excellent. The food was quality, however for the price I thought it was very expensive for what you got on your plate.
Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, such a nice spot for lunch, always enjoy the food, we'll be back
Such wonderful staff and great food! Will definatly come here again
The food was not very good, the pasta stuck together and the tempura monkfish was fried to an inch of its life.
The Staff were amazing and attentive, was waiting a year to go and was soo disappointment by the food
Unfortunately , the kitchen delivered the wrong meal twice to our table. Our main waiter was fantastic and sorted it all out and we appreciated the effort. Would like to try it again and give the restaurant another chance.
Wonderful dining experience. Staff were very professional and attentive.
Our family of 4 people recently enjoyed Sunday lunch at Pt Leo Restaurant. The restaurant is stunning in design with beautiful views of the sculptures outside. Service was warm, helpful and friendly. The waiters wine recommendations were spot on. I chose the wood roasted snapper for main course, a beautiful dish. For dessert we sampled beautiful white strawberries, which were incredibly sweet and juicy. After lunch you can shop, sample more wines, or wander around the sculptures. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant.
Very enjoyable evening. Food was excellent and interesting. Waitress Tali was friendly, helpful and egaging, a natural at helping people enjoy the experience. One very large table of noisy 60+ year olds who didn't have great consideration for other diners was the only detractor, but that's just bad luck, nothing the restaurant could do about that.
Highly recommend a meal here for a special occasion.
I loved the feel of this restaurant. Tara was very helpful and gave us lots of knowledge of the food and beverages. The pork belly was to die for and the monkfish had a refreshing taste. The wines were next level and I am looking into joining the wine club.
Second visit and again disappointed. Impersonal. Restaurant just doesn't have the essential hit. Overpriced and nothing outstanding about the food
Not as good as when we came in August
It took too long to get serviced when we sat down and the waiter was not very good compared to the first experience
The entrees were great but the fish was uncooked and the pork belly dry
We didn’t eat it all
There seemed to be a lack of direction and even took 15 minutes to get the bill
Had a lovely wedding anniversary lunch & our waiter Dave was outstanding
Great staff , excellent food, worth the wait!
Lovely way to spend anniversary
Excellent dining experience, but a tad overpriced.
Fabulous Fabulous Fabulous. Gorgeous food, fantastic service. Wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go again.
IT was solid but not outstanding. The started and entree were average but paying top dollar.
Every meal our group had was wonderful, and the 2015 Chardonnay was superb
My absolute fave restaurant in the area - we are very lucky to have them! Cannot fault the service and the quality!
An excellent dining experience with fabulous food and wine
Well done Phill Woods and team! We went to Pt Leo Restaurant in January 2017 and everything was outstanding. Been trying a few other restaurants in the Yarra Valley, Red Hill and Mornington since then and we were always left disappointed. So! When I saw Gaz (Gary Mehigan) posted his recent experience at Pt Leo on Instagram, we immediately decided to head there to celebrate our 10 Year Wedding Anniversary and we were blown away by the experience. You guys just took it up another level. Not many places can do that let alone maintaining their standards. I hope you guys can at least maintain the standard when we visit again in the next few months. See you soon!
Disappointed in the change of fish, previous XO was much nicer. Entrees and desserts were fab!
Our party of four enjoyed a delicious lunch. I like shared plates etc in modern dining but it was nice to have a more traditional offering of entree, main etc for a change. Professional, on the ball service. Much appreciated & would recommend to anyone.
Fabulous place and grounds. View amazing. Entrees were amazing. Would have liked the pork belly to have crackling on it. Didn't think the muscat brioche for desert was anything special. Staff very attentive and friendly. A special place to celebrate my friends birthday.
Don't think diners should have to pay to walk through the sculpture park.
What a venue! Amazing! Beautiful food and wine in a magnificent location.
Perfect dinner for a birthday celebration for 2! Full marks for service, atmosphere & meal portions. The food was delicious as was the cocktail special. Will return.
I have yet to be disappointed when dinning at pt Leo. Staff are friendly and very helpful both with the menu and choosing the correct wine to go with the meal. The menu appears to Carter for vegans and vegetarians. The views from the restaurant are great.
Excellent service and great food as usual!!
Excellent food , limited wine list and good service. Outstanding venue.
Nice space to have lunch in, however do not feel like we got value for money.
1 glass of Rose, 1 beer, 1 entre, 2 mains and 2 sides was $192. We got the wagu steak and it was over cooked and not very tender. Lamb rack had just as much fat as meat. We wouldn't go back.
Always love coming back to Point Leo Estate - The Carrot Souffle is a must matched with the 2011 Point Leo Chardonnay - makes my heart melt every time! The kingfish ceviche is mouthwatering, The apple sourdough is some of the best bread I've had. The staff are always friendly and happy
Wine tasting, delicious food, lovely views, awesome staff. 10/10 all round.
