Pt Leo Restaurant
Pt. Leo Restaurants culinary philosophy is to showcase local and Victorian produce wherever possible. The wine list also has a similar philosophy where it not only showcases Pt. Leo Estate wines, but varietals from the region and greater Victoria. It is one of the few wine lists in Victoria, that is purely Victorian wines. The restaurant welcomes bookings of all sizes including generous dining options for groups of 10 or more.
The predominately local front of house staff delivers exceptional service with genuine warmth and hospitality, offering a true Mornington Peninsula experience. The staff are led and complimented by our exceptional Restaurant Manager, Ainslie Lubbock and Sommelier, Andrew Murch.
Fantastic all round! The food was delicious and the service was spot on - the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything just the way we wanted.
I had a very enjoyable lunch. The food was mouth watering. We had the john dory and the beef. The setting is gorgeous with the ocean views. Shame the weather wasn't summer like! Would definitely go again.
Service disappointing for the beautiful location. Food was good
Our lunch to celebrate our daughters birthday was perfect in every way.
Our waitress Rosie was fantastic and made the day special.
it was a very busy time of day the restaurant was full however service and attention to detail was fabulous great food knowledge and an allergy catered for with great confidence noise level very high but as people left it settled down
My husband and I enjoyed a really lovely meal for our 35th wedding anniversary last Sunday
I did think we might have got a complimentary item for our special occasion ie wine, dessert , port despite advising the establishment at the time of booking and also on the day
Not the end of the world but feel it would have been a nice gesture especially seeing we spent over $300
Having said that the service staff were friendly and efficient and food was lovely
We dinner at pt Leo Restaurant for our first wedding anniversary. The service was amazing and the food was even better. Flavours were all perfectly balanced I couldn’t fault anything about any of the dishes we had! The only thing I’d change about my experience is getting both deserts to myself instead of sharing them with my husband :)
Ps they were very accommodating about finding us a table that had room for our pram next to us for our newborn!
Wonderful late Sunday lunch on a cold day. Delicious food, great views and excellent ambiance and service.
Great food service fantastic could not fault. For a cold blustery day it was very pleasant to sit inside and lookout at that fantastic view of the sculpture garden with the bay in the background.
My only negative for the day was being told at 1.40 that our table was rebooked for 2pm. We had not been offered the dessert menu nor coffee and had not been told on booking or on arrival that our booking was only until 2pm. This made us feel uncomfortable and rushed after an otherwise enjoyable luncheon.
Such a spectacular setting and a beautifully constructed restaurant. The service was professional, friendly and punctual and the food was delicious. We’ll certainly return.
Food was great and the actual person serving us was also great, but the food took ages to come out. They seemed understaffed despite it not being super busy, and us eating lunch late @ 230pm.
The food served for our lunch on Saturday was oustanding however our overall experience was let down by the noise levels within the restaurant and the mediocre level of service. To be paying premium prices for the food and wine, one would expect a much more pleasant environment and more attentive service (the setting and outlook towards the sculpture park was simply stunning), however the noise levels deeply impacted our experience to the point where it was impossible to have a normal conversation without speaking loudly and having to repeat yourself. It was also frustrating having to ask to have your glass of wine refilled, and the waiting time for the dessert menu and follow up was considerable enough where the moment was lost on us and we decided it was time to leave.
Our first time at Pt Leo estate and quite blown away with our entire experience. From walking up to the main entrance, welcoming staff, fabulous food and outstanding service
Views and food to die for! A must visit when you come to the peninsula
The food was genuinely outstanding. All three of us were extremely happy with our very different dishes. Highly recommended.
Very good restaurant, nice ambience, and great views. The food was Awesome. A definitive experience.
Food, staff & ambience very good. Thought that $165 for 1/2 lobster was very expensive for the amount you received
Staff were great and made it a fantastic anniversary lunch. Food was also very good.
Great place for a Sunday lunch. All our meals were perfectly cooked and very tasty
Food and service was very good. I felt it was well over priced compared to other Wineries. My sister and I lunch at a winery each month. We have had really lovely food for a lot less. Also found that it was very noisy and difficult to have a conversation.
I had a lovely family dinner here for my 40th. The view was amazing as we still had plenty of daylight and we could see so many sculptures. The food was superb.
A fantastic property to visit and would recommend you do so however they missed the mark with the food. Emphasis is on presentation and most dishes were average. The roast potatoes were boiled and then finished off slightly in a oven (if at all) and they lacked seasoning. The asparagus crab dish was overpowered by mustard. The snapper was well cooked but the zucchini was not cooked as all! Pan cooked wagyu steak needed a grill in my view. The prawn pasta was probably the best dish we had. Dishes would probably look good when photographed but need some “love”. Our shared deserted with an anniversary message was a nice touch and appreciated
Lovely as always, service great, food delicious except for monkfish main however when we brought this to the attention of the head waiter we weren’t charged.
Beautiful positioned restaurant with stunning views across Westernport Bay and surrounding sculpture park. We experienced a friendly greeting and prompt seating. Our wait staff were terrific and well knowledged about the menu.
My husband and I felt the entrees were outstanding and our favourite part of the meal. I had the cheese tart and he a fish dish. We both had the lamb for main and it was a substantial dish for which we ordered a side of kipfler potatoes. It was a tasty dish.
Desert was a bit of a let down but still enjoyable - panda cotta for me and meringue for my partner.
All in all a bit pricey as the total bill came to just under $300 for our Friday lunch.
Continue to return and never leave disappointed. We sat chatting well past our disinated time and was never asked to finalize our bill. Wine once again delightful went well with our food. Thank you
Our third visit to Point Leo Estate we will be back again.
Madeleine and her team once again surpassed our expectations. We will keep coming back and continue to recommend. Well done!
I really enjoy taking my clients to Point Leo for casual dining. This was my second time dining with clients. Service and ambiance are fabulous, food is always exceptionally delicious.
Our 1st time at Pt Leo estate, thoroughly enjoyed the Restaurant, will be returning during the Summer.
Always a pleasure to lunch at your venue. Attentive staff and exciting food. Love the veggie selection for my wife. Carrot soufflé was a bit bland and my wife’s chees with lentos could have had more lentil and less cheese but overall love day out. Pt Leo 2016 Pinot was like velvet
The food was delicious with good size portions. The staff were helpful and attentive. The restaurant was quite loud, but I think we were maybe just sitting near a loud couple. Our table was a little near the wood fired oven which was quite warm but overall we had a really lovely lunch and I would definitely recommend it. The sculpture garden is also beautifully located and interesting.
Amazing food and service, perfect birthday lunch celebration.
Magnificent view, great service and generally a great all-round experience.
A beautiful welcoming interior space and lovely sea views. Lunch booking at 2pm but waited 20min for our table to be ready. Staff refreshingly apologetic and warm. Great knowledge of food and everything on menu tasted amazing! Will definitely return.
This is the 2nd time I have been here and it did not disappoint. The views are spectacular as is the food and service. It's a little on the pricey side however this is a quality establishment with food to match so its to be expected. Surprisingly the noise level was not high at all given the high ceilings and polished concrete floor and we could engage in conversation without having to shout. Best thing was that we booked for a late lunch (2pm) so did not feel like we were being rushed by the staff waiting to turn over the table and ended up lingering over lunch for 4 hours. If you are after a place to go where you are prepared to splurge a little then I you definitely should consider going here.
Food was beautiful, but there was quite a wait between each course.
Sensational setting and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our 2nd visit within a year we throughly enjoyed our sat eveming dinner... Pt Leo Pinot 2016 just delicious! ambience is subtle & warm... we enjoyed the drunken chicken crumpet, zucchini flowers & points of lamb & fillet steak all were exquisite in favours & texture...
The service at Pt Leo was attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding and well-priced for its quality. The range of wines was pleasing - we had the Pt Leo Shiraz and it was delicious. My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary and the desserts came out with "Happy anniversary" written on the plate which was a thoughtful touch. The view of the bay from the restaurant was beautiful as were the sculptures spread out across the grounds. Would love to come back!
I asked for well done steak and t was prefect. I never order steak as its always the way a chef would like but this was spot on & the asparagus side dish was so fresh. Chardonnay 2018 was a winner as well. Thanks
