Veal clafoutis was thick and chewy. Very disappointed
BF does not eat fish, I love it. We decided it was a me night so we went here for the first time and we figured he’d just get a burger. As you can imagine, getting a burger at a seafood place is not the most popular option but it was incredible. Fries were great and we were totally impressed.
The sushi rolls were different, thicker rice roll but still amazing. Solid seafood restaurant.
Service was awesome. One of these rare places where everything on the menu seems to be excellent.
Great drinks & food, however we were double billed for our drinks at the bar! 😡 My husband paid for the $25 drinks + $5 tip in cash. When we got home & he looked at the bill, he saw we were charged for the drinks again! So he paid $128 & $25 tip on his credit card. What a disappointment to ruin our Valentine’s Day night dinner!
Very nice ambiance! Patio with heaters were very comfortable. Food was delicious!
Very nice restaurant with authentic Tuscan style food!
Poor service, dirty wine glasses, and a poorly designed menu for Valentines Day.
Excellent food. Fresh and prepared and seasoned perfectly.
Poor service, however, put a damper on our experience. After waiting 45 minutes for our entrees, we had to finally flag down the manager and ask about the holdup. He apologized, and informed us that there was a new cook, and things in the kitchen were running more slowly than usual. He then comped one of our companions’ glass of wine.
Why did we have to express concern about our order before the delay information was disclosed? While the manager and server were both friendly and pleasant, we should not have had to hunt someone down to get a status report on our order. Furthermore, we informed the server when we placed our order that we would like our checks separate (there were two couples in our party of four); so why were we not offered a break on our charges, also? We did not order wine, but our entrees were every bit as delayed as the couple’s who were comped a $20 bottle of wine.
The food was excellent, and the wait staff was generally efficient but they fell short on communicating with us. That part was extremely disappointing and surprising.
Always an excellent dinner. I love the Italian wedding soup.
Gio is the best waiter anywhere.
I had dreamed of having their fig, Gorgonzola bruschetta again and took a friend, who is now a fan of Princi Italia as well! I had never been to the Plano location before, but it was just as awesome as Dallas location! Dallas has opened back up after tornado damage, so I would love to see my old love again!!! I just love everything about this place....FOOD, Bread, Drinks, Ambiance, Music, FOOD, even the water is good here!!!!
Excellent again. Fresh pasta made on site and amazing pizza. Another great meal !
Excellent food and great atmosphere suitable for families, or a date! Would defined come back!
We eat at both Princi's offten . . .both are wonderful . . .We have a special waiter (Herman), at the south location, who really takes great care of us when we visit!! At the north Princi, they are always so accomodating and at both locations, the food is wonderful. I love the arugula salad, and when available, I add seared tuna to it . . .its quiet enough so you can carry on a conversation, the servers are great, but not intrusive . . .which is why we frequent both locations . . .Highly recommend.
This is a very nice neighborhood restaurant with dependably good food and service.
Our waiter totally messed up our order. He forgot one entree and when he realized his mistake they were out ot that entree he ordered. Finally his food arrived but after we were all done eating. To make it worse, he even charged is for it. The manager never came over to apologize or offer dessert or anything. Very disappointed, we like to give our neighborhood restaurants a chance!
Service was extremely slow. When I asked for bread to go with my meal, I was told my order would go to the bottom of the orders and so I couldn’t get any to enjoy with my meal! What Italian restaurant doesn’t have bread available?! I was willing to pay for it!! So disappointed.
The food was outstanding but the service was not good, our server didn't seem to want to wait on us and put the effort into making sure our water glasses were full and that we were handed the correct dish. My daughters and I sat at the table for awhile talking and not once did our waiter come to fill our water glass nor asked if we needed anything else. I'm big on customer service and I will have second thoughts in coming back to the Plano location.
Dalton our server was fantastic! We brought some friends that had never been before and they were very impressed with every aspect! Italian perfection from a food standpoint...and excellent customer service all fronts!
First class from the time we walked in until we walked out.
We always enjoy dining here and have done so many times over the past two years. Recommend you stop in and check it out for yourself.
Great place for a authentic Italian meal. Lovely setting without being kitschy. Service was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. Great date night or girlfriends night out dinner! Wine list is well curated as well
Love the food. Real Italian food!! The best I ever ate in DFW. My favorite neighborhood restaurant !!!
Everything was outstanding
Food was delicious - service was just ok
We have eaten here multiple times and love the food. Tonight was no exception, but the service and noise level were not as good. Our server was very new and inexperienced. He needed more training. He asked us if we wanted any appetizers five minute after we ordered appetizers. He did not know how to serve the wine, and asked the diner who was drinking iced tea, several times if she wanted wine. Two at our table ordered XM salmon, only to find out later that they were out of salmon - something the server should have known before we ordered.
The food was as good as always. The service was not good. There was a playoff game on the bard TV, and the viewers were very enthusiastic - making it difficult having a conversation over their cheers.
Great food made from scratch
Server was great! We tasted a couple of new wine options and really enjoyed them. Salads and pizza are excellent, but dessert options are limited. Overall, a great dining experience!
Excellent food preparation, fun attentive staff. My only complaint was that the new Scottish salmon appetizer was not available. It.’a a new menu item and We really wanted to try it. Always a favourite place to enjoy brunch.
Fransisco our server is aways wonderful! Knows what we like as soon as we sit down!
Jose & Mark are welcoming and personable.
We liked the fact regular menu was offered on New Year’s Eve before 8:30. Both our meals were delicious and reasonably priced
It was new year’s eve dinner with friends. Food was delicious. We all had the branzino. Service was excellent!
Our server Preston got the order exactly as we wanted!
Food was not as good as usual but service and ambience were definitely the best.
Service was very good. Food was very good. Would go again.
Great food but we had three different waiters tonight as nd we didn’t have any continuity
Was told the reservation was unassigned when we got there. Waiter did not know about what was included in the restaurant's own special without prompting from us. Waiter had to be reminded 2x for a number of items inclusive of bread, spoons, crushed red pepper, oil & vingear, and replacement utensils. If utensils are taken away with an early course, it should be automatic that replacements are brought rather than needing to be requested repeatedly. Indeed, no replacement knife was ever brought.
Value is exceptional and food is always good, but service was suspect. Hope that it was just an off day and that the service can improve to match the exceptional food, value, and ambiance that the restaurant has.
We visited for my husband's birthday. They have a limited time special White Truffle menu. We loved the menu offerings! Great atmosphere, reasonable prices, and nice variety. It was perfect for a date night! I highly recommend Princi Italia!
There is far better Italian out there.
Everyone in our group of five thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The Sunday Special was Lasagna and our server told us immediately that there were only 3 servings left. Two of our group requested the lasagna. Server put a “hold” on 2 servings while the rest of us made our selections. He came back and said he was very sorry but now there was only 1 serving left for our group and one person needed to order something else. He was very apologetic and offered the affected person a free dessert. No problem! But, then he came back and said the kitchen had offered to make an individual lasagna for us. Bravo to the chef! No one had to have their second choice. Everyone enjoyed their lasagna, pasta with lobster/shrimp/scallop, pasta with bolognese, Italian Wedding Soup, and spinach salad. All big portions...to go boxes! We eat here often and love their Sunday brunch, too.
We were not sure what the problem was but they were having some personnel issues with the bartender staying behind the bar and making drinks and there seem to be an argument between some of the staff and the manager and as a result everybody’s service suffered. Our waitress had two tables and seemed fairly overwhelmed by both tables with a total of six people. We had read some of the reviews online and decided to try it anyways. We now understand why it is poorly reviewed. We will not be returning.
This was our first time to this location and it was excellent, we came later in the evening after a movie (and popcorn) and had drinks and appetizers. The wine was perfectly chilled, beer with cold frosted glass, amazing lemon drop. Appetizers and one meal perfect for sharing. We were sitting close to the bar and Mavericks game was ending so a little noisy for a while however then nice and quiet and a great way to talk and discuss the movie we saw. We would go again and definitely recommend!
