Excellent birthday feed. The 1kg Dry Aged Rib Eye was to die for!
Everything was wonderful. The beef tartare was different than any I've had before and it was delicious. My snapper was cooked perfectly and the potato mash was smooth, creamy and amazing. My husband's steak frites dinner was beautiful. Wish I lived there so I could go more often!
We dined as a small group and had the tasting menu. Everyone in our group loved the food. The service was very good too. We were very happy
Consistent restaurant. Always an enjoyable meal. Interesting choice of gins. Great service, just the right amount of interaction
We had a table upstairs and ordered the smoked fish entree, the Uraidla chicken, and the fish of the day (snapper) with some sides. Although the meals were a little pricey, the food was delicious and the dishes were all quite generous sizes. The brussel sprouts were a little undercooked and tough to cut into but were still very tasty. The atmosphere upstairs was relaxing and although it was busy, it still felt intimate. I took a star off because it was a bit cold and I had to keep my winter coat on throughout the evening. We were served by Mel, who was lovely and very attentive.
Amazing food, fantastic service, will go back without doubt
Delicious food & very pleasant waiter who really knew his wines
Had the shared meal. Very much enjoyed the combination of flavours etc.
Extremely good experience however I would say the staff didn’t need to top up our water so often as glasses were half full and it appeared they just needed something to keep them busy.
We enjoyed our experience in general. Staff were lovely and helpful.
Food was really lovely but noise level did get high when the place filled up. Not sure there’s much you can do about that given the acoustics of the building.
In general we were pretty happy with it.
Tasting menu was poor quality for $75. Lacking in imagination.
We went for Saturday lunch and chose Press because it was one of the few restaurants open for lunch on Saturday in Adelaide. We (a table of four) were the only customers in the restaurant. Nonetheless the food was fantastic. In particular the Coorong snapper, which was succulent and tasty, served with creamy mash, brussel sprouts and pancetta (for the meat-eaters among us). We also ordered the chilli crab pasta, which was excellent - though I think we all coveted the snapper once it arrived. Service was friendly, efficient and we had good advice about wines, and an informative discussion about various Barossa wines - two of us had just come back from a week there. I'm new to Adelaide and am very happy to have discovered Press. I'll certainly be back!
Lovely place and great food. The pithiviers were fantastic.
great food and wine options and the staff were friendly and attentive. the interior finish was elegant and added to the experience
Lovely food and great service. We had an outstanding meal
The food was spectacular. The wine was lovely and loved the feel of this space. Love, love, love. Well worth the money.
From the moment we sat down, staff were very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Food was excellent and the wine choices were great. The price point was on the higher end but we couldn’t fault anything. Would definitely come back
Excellent venue for our team dinner - service was second to none, food some of the best in town.
Could not have asked for a better day in all aspects, fabulous food and plenty of it , exceptional wine and very relaxing ambiance.
W e had a table of eight and all of us were extremely happy with everything.
Thank you Press
Staff were friendly and provide good recommendation on food and wine. Restaurant is spacious and cosy with nice deco.
We had to fill our own water a few times which you would not expect too in this level of restaurant. Neglected to tell us specials before coming to take our order. Otherwise everything was exceptional.
Excellent food and wine. Will definitely come back
Several small plates served at just the right pace with a lovley variety of taste a nd texture. Staff knowledgable and helpful. Great night
I usually have great meals at Press, this time however was different. The restaurant was pretty empty yet we had to keep flagging down the waitress for everything. The service was pretty terrible, we had wine spilled on the tablecloth before our clients arrived and no effort was made to clean it up. She did recommend some great entrees for us to share but the service overall was not good.
Three of us had the crab pasta which came out lukewarm and was quite tasteless, too much pasta and not enough crab. There didn’t seem to be any chilli in mine, it was very bland.
I still give Press an overall score of 3 based on previous experience as well and hope it was a one-off.
Celebrating a birthday with my wife and young daughter, we had an excellent time with amazing food and drinks in a lovely setting. Highly recommended!
Overall was fantastic. Squid on the wood fire grill - outstanding. Service just slightly off the mark for the price point for me.
We had a quick lunch this time. Will be back to have the tasting menu and spend more time.
Press never fails to impress. The staff are warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The food, well that is the reason for us to keep coming back. It is exquisite, the chefs know their stuff and the flavours and combinations and presentation are brilliant.
Lovely atmosphere with great service and quality food.
As always food and service were top rate. Food is interesting and flavorsome; service was efficient, friendly and unobtrusive. Eclectic wine list with price points for all budgets.
Great birthday dinner, food was very tasty and varied and was enjoyed by all ages.
Had the $75 pp menu.
There really wasn't much food for the 4 of us - we unfortunately left hungry.
Being served 3 small desserts for the 4 of us was disappointing.
Don't think we received value for money.
The service was excellent however.
I was not impressed with the quality of some of the food - the potatoes were way overdone, the pork was cold.I was expecting much better so disappoint considering I was entertaining a party of 10 and some of them foreign visitors.
Our favourite dining experience in Adelaide. Looking forward to returning
Beautifully presented food in a great setting. It was a hot night and was disappointed we were served water at the temperature it came out of the tap. Despite requesting some cold water.
Lovely food & atmosphere. Enjoyed the tasting menu with clients.
The only downer was the lack of being able to select upstairs dining in the both.
While the bench seats are social - I would have preferred booths :)
Otherwise loved the food & venue.
Great food, fantastic and knowledgeable service, great night, thank you
Bit noisy but great meal
Went here having read reviews and was not disappointed. The steak was so tasty and the service was great.
Service, ambience outstanding. Food was luke warm, plates cold.
