Press* Food & Wine
The food was delicious. The individual elements of each dishes complemented the overall taste really well. Food came out nice and quick. Only complaint was it took a long time to get the attention of a wait staff in order to ask for the bill, even though it was not busy.
Tasting menu suited with very Nice wines , I really recommand this
Great last minute find had an awesome burger and the wife had steak n frites which was really tasty
Visited 6 months ago, food was fantastic.
If its possible out last dining experience at the Press was even better.
Highly recommend to anyone that enjoy great food
Warm and welcoming by front of house. Good atmosphere and friendly professional waitress. A menu that appealed as I love offal but also catered well to general appetite. Appreciated wine by the glass as our tastes within the group varied. A most pleasant and rewarding dining experience.
What a menu , what a wine list , the food was proposterously good. Recommend lots of plates to share !!!
This was my third visit to Press. Even though my memory of previous visits was that I enjoyed the food more, this time was still very good overall.
Really enjoyed the food here and good value for money. Pity only the downstairs section was open for the festive period which meant we were seated at the bench overlooking everyone in the restaurant. The only negative I can mention was that the restaurant seemed understaffed and when we asked for the bill they said they would bring it over but when they didn’t we went up to be told to sit down again and they would bring it. About 3 minutes before us another table had gone up to pay so we were very annoyed at being told to sit down again. Let us pay and leave please!!
Authentic and loved food, amazing delicate morsels to savour and appreciate knowing the hard work put in to deliver. Recommend the raw menu and offal menu - both delightful , fresh and creative. Careful thought out flavours are received through the courses, all different and leaving you wanting more. We will certainly be back to try the rest of the menu plus extras! A surprising find tucked away in adelaide.
Great food, personnel and atmosphere
Best so far on our trip through Aussi land
Disappointed, we were forced to have the tasting menu which we have had before. His was not what we wanted on this occasion though. I appreciate the time of year is more challenging but the restaurant trade isn’t easy... shouldn’t force menus on customers without prior warning!
I have lost count of the number of times that I have dined at *Press but I can easily recall the fact that every time has been excellent. This time was another business meeting over lunch, there have been many dinners and one of our annual staff Christmas lunches. The vibrant atmosphere and attentive service are a great compliment to the evolving menu and well curated wine list. Highly recommended.
Was in for Saturday lunch. They were not busy as it's Christmas and not during the week. Everything was exceptional.
Amazing food!! Portion sizes were perfect and incredibly tasty food. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The vibe was great, nice atmosphere and beautifully decorated.
The food was very good and was the stand out component of our afternoon.
The experience was however let down by the greeting and overall service, both in competence and attitude.
The attitude to food handling and the prioritisation of social staff chit chat over customer service was disappointing, however reminiscent of my previous experiences.
Unfortunately, the lunch was for my birthday and partly a gift from friends and that made the experience that much more disappointing.
Whilst the overall experience was good, the food quality and certainly the pricing demand more from the service than is currently being delivered.
Adelaide has too many fantastic eateries within close proximity for Press to rest this heavily on its laurels!
The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
Absolutely brilliant dining experience all round. Food is very fresh, great flavours and offers an excellent Offal menu as well
Great food and service. And the wine list was fantastic
Way too noisy for comfort. Waiting staff inattentive to the point where they comped wine when they forgot the order. Food more concerned with being hip than good.
Entrees were really nice (raw fish) 400g Black angus was overcooked and cut up for me already which I personally don't like. Why give me a knife? That's just me though. Pork belly was super fatty, I feel like a cheap cut but still on the expensive side. Not many sides to choose from imo (need more greens) May have been unlucky but wouldn't go back.
Very tasty and well worth a meal. Great menu options catering for for all.
For a big group so close to Christmas with a. Absolutely packed restaurant, everything was wonderful. A little noisy due to 4 very large groups but this is most likely a festive season anomoly.
It’s got to be one of the best burgers in Adelaide!
Very well looked after by the waitress. Great effort and almost tempted to go for the daily special, but the burger won out!
I have been to Press many times for business lunches but finally made it there for dinner last week. Great tapas, happy with the service, excellent wines selection and a fun evening was had by all. We tried every food options from raw, smalls, mains, desserts and cheeses. Definitely coming back.
Have been here previously and food standard seems to have dropped
Paying high end prices for what I consider average food. My pork overcooked. Wifes Pasta was overcooked , not al dente
Wine list is expensive. High mark up on the wines.
Downstairs has vibrant pub/casual feel but upstairs offers a great dining ambience, love the high ceiling and lighting in the evening. Friendly and attentive service but could feel a bit rushed when it gets busy, but still good. Had the tasting menu with several items that wow'ed us while the rest are still very good quality food, simply just not to our preference. Very recommended and we'll be back to try the ala carte menu. Well done.
Great food and wine, friendly professional waiting staff. Highly recommend!
Great as always. One of my favourites choices when friends and colleagues are in town
I preferred the old tasting menu than the new one. I used to be a regular to press and wine and absolutely loved every dish. I liked the quail, pasta, bread and tuna, and desserts the most.
Group of 5 of us had a great work dinner. We opted for the sharing menu which included a lovely array of local fish, meat and produce - all of which was delicious.
I came here for my 30th birthday with 4 friends. We had the tasting menu and it was tailored to us and our likes and dislikes. Friendly staff and great food and cocktails. Very knowledgeable waitstaff.
This is strictly a meat lovers restaurant. 1 veg option which wasn’t gf. I had notified the restaurant of the guest’s dietary requirements in advance. Only thanks to one proactive staff member that he was fed at all☹️. Placing tables of 2,3& 4 in amongst group tables for 20, 10 & other large numbers shows complete lack of consideration for guests comfort.
Great dinner saturday night for my wifes birthday, food, service, staff and wine were amazing.. tried my hardest to fault it but couldnt. We will be back
Press never fails to deliver. Excellent food, wine and service!
While the food was interesting with a good selection of offal on the menu, the noise level made talking to our friends very difficult. The introduction of soft surfaces (carpet, curtains etc) would help dampen this. The staff were very busy and while they took time for friendly banter, the timing of food and drinks could be improved. My cocktail wasn't finished but the wine was served as the food was obviously ready. I know it's tricky to time all this well, but I do expect it (and usually get it) at 'better' restaurants.
Really good service, tasty food. Bottles of Wine were a bit pricey but still very happy.
One of my favourite restaurants in Adelaide, consistently good quality food, fabulous ambience and service. Been there many times.
Good service happy to go back again n recommend to friends! Food was lovely n delicious we finished them all
We arrived and were attended to immediately, taken upstairs to a cosy booth where our waitress tended to our menu choices. We decided on the tasting menu that was constructed especially for us. Sensational!
Great food, great service. Very knowledgeable and helpful waiter helped me select a fantastic gluten free meal, with no real sense of compromise, which is unusual and was much appreciated. The restaurant was quiet with good spacing between tables so conversation was easy.
