Post - COMO The Treasury Ratings and Reviews
Lovely staffs and venue, unfortunately the service was a bit of let down. Wine list was not offered, incorrect menu was brought and complimentary bread was forgotten. Foods plately nicely but taste wise was not outstanding! Undoubtedly was a stunning and comfortable restaurant, hopefully the foods and service quality can catchup!
Great service and food. Good wine list by the glass as well as bottle. Clean. Whole building architecture is fabulous and very well renovated. A few bars in same building notably cocktail bar Halfords were excellent. One negative: only one toilet in ladies bathroom outside of restaurant with a lengthy queue. Overall a wonderful experience. Well done.
I had read of this restaurant and decided to try it out for breakfast after trying petition on a previous day. I found the service to be too slow and unresponsive . The meal room too long and was ok. The juice was delicious and came first . The buffet lacked any hot foods so went for the scrambled eggs off the a la carte menu instead. Serving was very small .
The food was awesome, ate the Steak Tartare for entree and Fish for mains. They were both extraordinary. The cheese platter for dessert was boringly presented.
Service was poor initially by one young lady who mixed up our meals and spilt our drinks but the other staff were on Pat with a fine dining restaurant.
There needs to be more artwork on the walls because the place looks dull and lacks ambiance
On my first visit to Post I was impressed by the surroundings. The food was beautifully presented and the lamb I had was a good serving. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The wine matched our dinners of lamb and beef. We have eaten in many lovely restaurants including London, Italy and Abu Dhabi. This restaurant ranks right up there with them.
It was my first dining experience & I was very surprised at how wonderful the food was! So healthy, light & super tasty!! I had the "big salad" for entree & it was one of the best salads I have ever eaten. Followed by the chicken - OMG WOW! Wasn't sure what the grey dollops were but they were delicious & connected/complimented everything on the plate.Finished my meal with the amazingly awesome chocolate caramel tart with espresso mouse. Seriously one of the best meals I have had in a long time!
I took my best friend for a belated birthday lunch. We both had the lamb and it could not be faulted. The Brussel sprouts were to die for. We couldn't decide which dessert to have so we shared the lemon cheese cake and the date pudding. Both were amazing. My friend is a serious foodie and is hard to impress. Post succeeded in doing this and some. Our waitperson was fabulous. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. Eating there was special to me too. I worked in the building in the 70's.
What truly stood out at Post Restaurant was the service; the waitress who attended to us was so friendly, cheerful, polite and informative, making good recommendations.
The food was good, but what seems more memorable was the service and the ambience (luckily a very loud American couple next to us, departed not long after we arrived!)
A good experience but the food may need a little more attention.
Pleasant Sunday lunch - the duck was moist and pleasant, perhaps less of the fat for our taste, but easily left aside. The kingfish was also very tasty. It is unfortunate that vegetables/greens are an extra when there is so little with the main.
Strawberry cheesecake was very good, slightly sweet to our taste. Apple tart OK, lacked a tart case. Chocolate cake was very good.
Wine list catered for glass, quite reasonable selection.
Service was excellent, attentive and friendly.
Dined at Post twice, 1st was Friday lunch (group of 5) and 2nd was Friday dinner for 2. Both times we received exceptional service provided by staff, very attentive and professional. Quality food with wow factor, dont be fooled by its appearance, it's definitely food for the soul!
Highly recommended for special occasion like birthdays and anniversary.
The food was fabulous as was the wine however the service on the day wasn't great. It was the waiters first day however there were too many mix ups with the dishes, cutlery , chips etc . She was apologetic but for the $ of the food etc I would expect excellent service.
Only had one negative comment being the toilets were far away and had to queue due to the bar patrons, ended up going down to Long Chim for the bathroom. This meant my food went cold. The restaurant definitely needs its own bathroom.
Apart from that service was excellent, food was tasty and presented impeccably. Nice lighting and very cosy for dinner.
Went to Post for dinner. Staff accommodated our request for seating an extra person above our original booking.
The large salad and the caramelised Brussels sprouts were quite special (we shared these), but the chickpea curry was expensive for a very small serve.
The wait staff were either overly attentive or nowhere to be seen - was a little unusual.
Our wine bottle was kept away from our table which meant when we asked for a refill, they accidentally poured us wine from someone else.
Visited Post for our wedding anniversary. Whilst not cheap the food was excellent and we both really enjoyed what we ordered.
Experience was spoiled for us by the over familiar and almost patronising service we received from our waitress. Would probably not rush back.
The entree were lovely, well balanced and interesting. The main courses were atrociously bad and arrived way too quickly. Steak was cold and Cleary hadn't been brought to room temperature. The lamb shoulder was grisly with fat, lukewarm and the flavours just didn't work. We explained politely that it wasn't nice as neither muppets friend or I ate very much at all. Nothing was done, a half baked sorry and an offer of coffee after we requested the bill.
We have eaten here before. Damm shame.
