Post - COMO The Treasury Ratings and Reviews
Food was too die for! Perfectly suited to winter. The portions can be deceiving, as they look small, but are so filling!
My only "complaint" would be that the bread definitely needs to be served with salted butter or something else but the oil. It was a bit of a let down. Also, the chairs with the wooden back are terribly uncomfortable.
Overall though, we had a lovely evening with good food, wine, service and company.
Food and service were excellent but I would have liked at least 10 minutes between courses. The main came immediately they took starters away. The Lamb shoulder was beautifully cooked and the waiters attentive. Wine was a little overpriced but food prices were very reasonable. Only a small venue with tables very close. This meant quiet conversation was difficult but would still recomend to anyone.
I actually took business clients to Post two days in a row this week. On both occasions the service was slow and the wait staff inattentive, despite there being very few patrons in the restaurant on both days. We had to ask to see coffee/dessert menus both days. The second day, our sides were not put through to the kitchen and therefore we had nearly finished our meals before we could catch the attention of the waitress and ask where they were. When she went to check she said she had forgotten to put them through and that they would get them now. We declined this offer as we had almost finished eating. It was particularly strange that she said that the kitchen was busy and that's how the error had occurred but there was only one other couple in the whole restaurant. I can only assume that they were also cooking for Wildflower and perhaps the hotel patrons??? The staff were very slow to approach us and offer anything which was strange when I think it was clear we were a business lunch and we chose the "express menu". Lucky, the ambience is fabulous for a business meeting and the food great. If I hear from others the service has improved, I will be back, if not, I am afraid you won't see me again in a hurry.
We thoroughly enjoyed both entree and main meal even though there was a limited selection. Staff were friendly and efficient. Perhaps the only thing that could have been better was a bit more time between our cocktail and entree, otherwise a very enjoyable meal.
Really nice service. Unfortunately both our meals were a bit disappointing ( over cooked steak and insipid chicken)... beautiful place and the wine was very good though. We may have been unlucky but it felt like the food could have been so much more interesting! Yes we will come back but we will need to be really impressed to make sure it's not the last time...
Had an enjoyable evening food ambience was great. Easy to talk to your friends at the table. Had a very attentive waitress. Only 1 meal came out slightly cold but the waitress was very apologetic the food itself was perfect we were given some divine chocolates on the house. Would recommend this Restaurant for anyone to go.
Tasty food that is easy on the eye. Wine by the glass is limited to one grower per style but they're selected well. Elegant surrounds with attentive but not stuffy staff. Lovely place to take mum for mother's day. Complimentary bread and house sparkling water were nice touches. Food was hot and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Someone in the kitchen is very good at sauces.
We thought the tables were too wide to have an intimate conversation without people next door being able to hear. Felt too far away from my date. Also chairs a bit hard. Other than that, the food was yummy, good service and I'm sure would have had more atmosphere if there were more people there, it was very quiet.
We went to Post for our last meal before returning home from our family trip to WA. We managed to book using OpenTable two days before for an early dinner with our three kids (5, 7 and 9).
Post is set inside the new Como The Treasury Hotel in Perth. We have visited other Como properties before and this was no different - spartan, cool, hip whilst welcoming. The restaurant itself had a beautiful vibe and was beautifully decorated with a nordic feel. They immediately made us feel at home and we felt no pretence nor any issues with having our kids at the restaurant.
-Kids menu was fantastic - options were plentiful and the food was delicious (although the kid's steak fillet was overdone).
-The service staff, led by Francois, was amazing with great knowledge of not only the wines on the list, but also the wineries around the Margaret River area.
-The burata salad, the lamb and the tiramisu were three of the highlights on the main menu, which were all exquisite in presentation and taste. The lamb, especially, was worthy of extra praise as it was flavoured beautifully and executed with perfection to be melt-in-your-mouth.
-the wine list was decent but very much skewed to Australian wines but we did manage to get a decent bottle of bordeaux to refresh our palates after a week of wine tasting in Margaret River.
-the beef fillet on special was overcooked to a medium when we asked for a medium-rare
Overall, it was a magical experience in a gorgeous space with amazing service. Definitely recommended but the cost was not cheap.
Good range of starters and mains, really great food and one of the best service in Perth, if not the best. However the sweet potato chips and onion rings (sides) were overcooked, and tasted as if they had been left in the heat for some time. Nice wines at good prices.
Went for a colleagues birthday. Décor is beautiful and spacious. Food was amazing, came out quickly. Staff were knowledgeable and very friendly. Had the best duck I think I have ever tasted. Would definitely return, and have recommended to many since we went.
Lovely staffs and venue, unfortunately the service was a bit of let down. Wine list was not offered, incorrect menu was brought and complimentary bread was forgotten. Foods plately nicely but taste wise was not outstanding! Undoubtedly was a stunning and comfortable restaurant, hopefully the foods and service quality can catchup!
Great service and food. Good wine list by the glass as well as bottle. Clean. Whole building architecture is fabulous and very well renovated. A few bars in same building notably cocktail bar Halfords were excellent. One negative: only one toilet in ladies bathroom outside of restaurant with a lengthy queue. Overall a wonderful experience. Well done.
I had read of this restaurant and decided to try it out for breakfast after trying petition on a previous day. I found the service to be too slow and unresponsive . The meal room too long and was ok. The juice was delicious and came first . The buffet lacked any hot foods so went for the scrambled eggs off the a la carte menu instead. Serving was very small .
