Porters
Porters Williamstown owners, Zoey and John of Williamstown opened Porters doors in September 2018. Wanting a challenge, they built a diverse but delicate menu to coordinate with their glamourous, but expansive restaurant footprint.
Porters serves coffee, breakfast and lunch, before dimming the lights for an intimate dinner or drinks at the bar. Porters wine list was curated by 2018 top sommelier, Raul Moreno Yague.
We hope to see you soon at Porters. Call for your reservation: 03 9397 1251.

Had lunch at Porters. Food was fantastic as was the service. Very good value for money. Highly recommended.
Food and drinks were amazing and staff were super friendly and catered to all our needs. Only disappointment was the service being quite slow especially the wait on drinks considering there were only 2 other groups at the restaurant.
This was our first luncheon experience with Porters but we had been there before in fact twice for dinner.
The food was excellent and the service was very good by our main attendant. She didn't fuss too much which is what we liked but was very pleasant and courteous.
The person who took away our wine glasses did not ask if we needed any more wine which I found a little different, just took the glasses and didn't say a word. We were not wanting any more but would have liked to have been asked. Only a small point not a complaint.
Love the ambiance it has a super feeling when one walks in. Love the space between tables to a conversation cannot be overheard.
Would have liked more on items on the menu - pork , lamb and salmon receipes.
Would certainly return to Porters a very nice eating experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Porters last night. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and we experienced good value for our money. It was a lovely way to catch up with dear friends.
A wonderful way to celebrate my birthday! Helen was wonderful from the minute we walked in the door. With 10 meals ordered, none were a disappointment - we all but licked the plates clean. Thanks Porters, see you soon!
The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly and the food was really good
Enjoyed a delicious lunch at Porters, food was fresh and beautifully presented. Service was very friendly and prompt. Would def. recommend this venue.
food was excellent but they really need more staff, you cant have 1 person serving and 1 person at the bar for Sunday dinner, it sort of spoiled our night to be honest
A great night was had by all thanks to staff at Porters especially Helen. Very friendly and the food was delicious.
We enjoyed our experience for our first visit. Staff very warm and friendly and efficient, and the location and venue itself was great. Nice comfy chairs too.
Food was great and perfect meal sizes. Great wine selection too.
Finally a great dining experience in Williamstown, which is usually not the case.
Will definitely return.
This has been one of the best dining experiences I have had. Beautiful and luxurious scenery accompanied with the most pleasant service and attendees. I had made a booking for my family for a Sunday brunch and the whole process was so easy and no fuss.
Arriving at the restaurant and was warmly greeted by staff. We all ordered the big breakfast and it was delicious. From the perfectly poached eggs to the smooth aromatic coffees.
I really admire the attention to detail the restaurant owners have put into their establishment. Details such as the excellent light settings down to The Cole and mason salt pepper mills.
I wish I had taken a better photo of our food but the excitement the scenery created had me taking the quickest of snaps.
Will definitely be back to try more breakfast dishes and will make a note to come in the evenings to experience the divine dinner service and food.
Fathers Day, like any other big occasion, is always hard on restaurants. We have been to Porters before and we were not disappointed this time, it was louder and busier and everyone was a little flustered but the food was fabulous as usual, everyone was smiling, the drinks were quick to arrive. Porters is an asset to Williamstown for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The people here care and it is obvious in the attention to detail, the level of service and the way they are always striving to do better. Thanks again Porters and Bravo !!
Very good service and food!
Food was divine, we left incredibly satisfied. The exceptional service made the experience even better, such attentive and friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit!
From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and valued. The service was exceptional and personal. The food was delicious - fresh and tasty. Our son is anaphalactic to nuts and fish - the staff went above and beyond to ensure his food did not contained or was cross contaminated with any nuts or fish. A beautiful relaxing evening was had - would recommend Porters to friends and family.
Quality food and some really nice wines without having to venture to the CBD. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
Lunched with a friend in this modern bright eatery that caters to local workers for good coffee and takeaways as well as locals and visitors wanting a more substantial meal.
We enjoyed our meal - each having seafood chowder and sharing braised beef cheek and a plate of spring vegetables
The beef cheek would have benefitted from an unctious sause but the soup and vegetable dish were delicious
We enjoyed elderflower spritzes and coffee too
Friendly service added to the appeal
Great menu, great location, excellent service and atmosphere. We really enjoyed our lunch here. Haven’t had a steak that good for a long time.
Great restaurant that is positioned on the ground floor of a new residential development. Food is very nice, modern Australian, with a range of options to please. Service was very warm and friendly, however a bit scatty - they were easily distracted by several large groups and didn’t appear to run sections for the wait staff (eg we had 4 different servers throughout the night), which meant things were forgotten and one person didn’t have an overall view of what your needs. Hopefully they improve this as it’s an easy fix with nice friendly people. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend to others.
The service was good but the food was awful and no taste.
There not much more i can say.
It was my first time here had to try it.
Had a very pleasant and relaxed Sunday Lunch. The food was delicious and so was the cocktail.
Great food and great service
A very pleasant night where the service and food was great. I would have rated the food as outstanding, albeit for the side of chips that tasted and looked like they had been sitting in the 'bain marie' for a couple of hours. I shouldn't have ordered the chips anyway as the mains were outstanding, especially the Beef Shin Massaman Curry which my wife ordered, and the Eye Fillet that I ordered was cooked to perfection. All was washed down with great selection of wines.
Good food, contemporary atmosphere and not to crowded. Our group of four enjoyed our meals and would dine there again. The tables were spaced so that you weren't listening to neighboring conversations and the chairs were very comfortable. Great coffee to finish off the meal.
We dined at Porters on. Saturday night. The restaurant was full but we had booked ahead.
We could not fault the service - very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Our meals were first class and served up within a reasonable time. Overall our dining experience was very good.
Food was very nice and staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back here.
This was a pleasant meal in a comfortable elegant setting and good for a low key Friday night dinner.
The lamb racks were perfectly cooked with good accompaniments and a generous serve. The gnocchi according to my partner, was a little overcooked but the lamb shank ragu, tasty. Overall the food was pretty good and fair value. A coffee creme brulee was fine.
Only negative point which should be easily fixed is the service was unprofessional -for this day and age. Jumped upon and asked if we wanted tap water or sparkling before we even sat down. This continued, being asked if we would like to order food by one of the wait staff when the other had just delivered the menus, being asked if we wanted coffee to "end the evening" before we had ordered dessert.
very accommodating and food was amazing! thank you
We were celebrating our son’s birthday. We had a fantastic night. The front of house were great interacting with us and having a laugh.
The atmosphere was great welcoming and cosy on a winters night. The food was great and plated for a magazine shoot.
We will definitely be coming back .
My wife and I have struggled for some time to find a restaurant with good food and service in Williamstown.
This would be by far the best restaurant in Williamstown. The food and service were exceptional and we will be visiting regularly and we will be sharing our experience with others.
Well done and keep at it.
I have officially now had THE best oysters ever! I am a huge fan of Coffin Bay Natural Oysters however, the tempura oysters on Porters menu are divine! The food across the board is outstanding and well priced for such a stylish venue. An impressive wine, spirit and cocktail selection makes for a fantastic night out and a very welcomed addition to the Williamstown restaurant scene!
Food and service was great, the only criticism was that the venue was cold both physically and it the interiors or lack of.
We have already been back for coffee and will definately be back for dinner again.
Attentive hostess and waiters, a contemporary looking venue just across the road from Williamstown Police. Food was excellent as were the cocktails on offer.
Had a beautiful Mother’s Day lunch at Porters. My Mum is old school fussy and service staff were very accommodating of her individual requests. We all had an excellent time and absolutely lovely lunch.
This was the 2nd time we ate there. We had dinner, which was absolutely the best meal we have had in a long time, 2 weeks before. We also went for mother's day breakfast. The staff were quick to serve our party of 6, food and drinks came quickly. The wait staff were excellent and attentive and came back multiple times.
We would highly recommend Porters and we do to all our friends and family.
Very good overall we had a good evening food was good, one observation I’d have liked a bigger portion of chicken for the spatchcock it was a bit small for a guy’s serving.
Dave
Warmly greeted and promptly shown to our table. Our waiter , Patrick, was appropriately attentive and knowledgeable. The quality and quantity of the food was good. For Southern Oregon, the prices were high, but not shocking or surprising. Porters is a premium restaurant and premium prices should be expected. Definitely, worthy of a repeat.
Great service. An extremely accomodating staff. Good food
Great food, great service. Ordered the specials which were excellent.
Friendly Great menu Impressive wine list. Wii definitely go back!
