    We ordered a fish dish we had loved before—modified to be dairy free. It was awful—mushy and dry. First there was confusion—the server thought we were sharing so we had to wait for the second person to be served. (It was her misunderstanding, but she came back with a very accusatory “You said you were sharing!” No, we both wanted the same modified dish. You misunderstood. And don’t talk to customers that way.) in the end, both dishes were removed from the bill, but I left hungry and not interested in coming back. Yes, they offered to make a new dish but by that point it was getting late and I just wanted to go home. Porter Creek, in this day and age and at your price point, your chef should be prepared for allergy modifications. Also consider putting sorbet back on your menu for ONE dairy-free option.

    We celebrated our 26th wedding Anniversary and had been here before. We were seated in an area with lots of kids and a large party so it did not start well. The waitress was attentive at first but was overwhelmed and did not check back often. We had reservations and indicated the occasion but we were not offered anything special to help celebrate. It was loud and we would have preferred a much quieter area or booth away from kids and a large party for just a couple with just two people. The food was good and served hot. We drove an hour to be there and probably won't go out of our way to go back.

    Our server was very personable and welcoming. I’ve had her for a server before. She is always delightful. The sausage and apricot chutney was exceptional. Just an all around great experience.
