The resulting dishes "always have been artful, always entertaining, always fresh...disarmingly successful."
Couple such critical acclaim with a wonderful Elliott Bay and Olympic Mountain view, an award-winning wine list and a bar that specializes in the unusual and you have the reasons for this Pike Place Market restaurant's success.
- Not entirely expected but it would have been nice to have a vegetarian option on the menu.
- Certain dishes were overpowered by a single spice.
- We celebrated a grandmothers birthday there, we let them know but no acknowledgment was made; we didn’t expect a desert or anything over the top but just a nod to her day in some way would have made the service special, average otherwise.
I love this little restaurant tucked behind Pike's Place. Lovely views of the harbor. The food is beautifully prepared and the service is impeccable. It is not cheap but it lives up to its price.
Great place, small and intimate. Excellent waitstaff, food and wine list.
Well the thing is, we’ve been there before and had great service. This time, he just kept disappearing for long periods of time and then was oversolicitous upon his return. Even though I let him know it was our anniversary, he just thought being schmoozy and vague would get him 20%~ I absolutely
know what it’s like to be a server, etc., and he had exactly 2 other table and was not slammed, so what was he doing? I had to go find him to get our bill. So tired of crappy service in this town. 🙁
We had a wonderful dining experience while celebrating my daughter’s college graduation on Saturday evening. From appetizers to dessert, the food was great. The service was amazing and not intrusive. The wine selection were good and priced well.
The only reason I gave the food four stars is that the pork chop was tough to cut. It was juicy and flavorful so don’t be afraid to order it.
There was no rush to finish. We had a amazing time and got to watch the
lighting show over West Seattle. That view cannot be copied.
We will be back for sure.
Two cioppino; both luke warm. One rigatoni was ok but not hot or that tasty. Not a remarkable experience. Thunderstorm and lightening made for an interesting display; apparently unusual for the area. Nothing compelling to want to return.
We visited Friday night, restaurant was very busy. Only one waiter was taking orders for entire tables. There were two waiter only serving food or taking out dishes. I think he was trying hard to take the order from all customers but I think the restaurant needs another waiter who can take order. We waited quite bit to order, served food. Food were Ok not very special to us.
It was sunny outside and we were able to sit on the patio which was amazing. The fish guys were loudly cleaning up from the day at the market behind us which added to the ambiance, but may or may not be what you were looking for. 🦐
we were so sad. one of our favorite restaurants. the service had to be begged for - including the menus. two out of 4 dinners very poor, one sent back.
thats our last visit. very unhappy.
Perfect day for lunch at Place Pigalle. First time for my friend, who loved it, and I am never disappointed.
We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner at Place Pigalle. We chose Un Plateau de Fromages as our starter and it was fantastic. I had the salmon special and my husband chose the Tuna special. The salmon was perfection, the tuna was too salty for our taste. Lovely place for a special celebration!
Wonderful meal. Really enjoy going somewhere with a unique menu. Service was very good, helpful in understanding the unique menu. It has been a while since we ate at Place Pigalle, but we will be back soon.
Service was top-notch. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening
Delightful gem that serves local and seasonal dishes. It is one of my favorite spots that offers a comfortable and relaxed experience.
Worried that this was in pike market tourist area. But this restaurant turned out to be fantastic.
The food was excellent. I started with rabbit and duck liver salad. Blew me away.
The bouillabaisse was next and the ingredients were excellent. My wife enjoyed the salmon, I had to help finish it.
Some sort of chocolate mousse to finish with remainder of a very good red wine from Washington.
The view from our small table was great through the small windows. Our great waiter told us the interesting story about the name Pigalle. Not inexpensive but well worth the money.
EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY
Wonderful Food and drinks. Always the best. Have been going here since the 80's and never disappointed.
We came here for my fiancé’s birthday and the food was so so so good! And our server was exceptional! His name is Guy. My fiancé and I loved it. We got an outside seat with the view of the sunset. We truly had a wonderful time. Thank you, Place Pigalle!
Service and gratitude for being a customer is at an all time low. Worst service we’ve had in years. Food was good, but the wait for it and the insane plating of other tables before we even saw our first order from the bar or the kitchen was so disappointing. We made the reservation for our anniversary, told them that on the phone- no mention of it- even after we told the server- no special sentiment at all. Rather to the contrary, felt as if we were being ignored. We’ll never go back.
This is one of my favorite spots for lunch in the city. The view is amazing and the food is the best. It makes me think of long European lunches where you never want the meal to end.
As usual, wonderful ambiance, excellent cusine and attentive staff. Asked and waited for a window table which was worth the wait
I was told about this place by a coworker who lived in Seattle for years.. I was skeptical at first but WOW. I’m not usually one to leave reviews but after a five day trip I can honestly say it was one of my favorite parts of Seattle.
I highly recommend, especially as a date spot. Food is on the pricier side but everything we had was phenomenal, service was great, and the views are amazing as well.
As always, the view from the restaurant was spectacular; and the food was amazing.
Nothing special. Not worth the high rating. Don’t have highchairs
Great place! Very inviting and the food was fabulous!
Excellent!! Highly recommended!
Great food, great service, outstanding view, quiet
As always, fabulous food, excellent craft cocktails, and breath-taking views. The ambiance is cool and breezy in the summer, warm and cozy in the winter! Just a perfect restaurant . . .
Wonderful food view and seevice
Authentic French cuisine with great service!
Our 6th year back to Seattle. Still our favorite restaurant. Ambiance, service, food and view. We had dinner again there last night with friends.
In over 30 years I've never had less than a wonderful experience here. Great scale, awesome food and drinks, good accoustics, attentive but not intrusive service. If you are from out of town you will enjoy the views and tucked into the market location. If you are a local it's worth dealing with the tourists to enjoy this Seattle jewel!!!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. The salmon special was a must have with a refreshing salsa and perfectly cooked asparagus and green beans. The octopus and country was exquisite. Thank you for helping to make our 20th anniversary special.
In Pike Place Market with a great view of the water so convenient. But not really a French restaurant, more of a PNW menu. Food is "good enough" but there are better restaurants at the same price within steps.
This is one of my favorite places in Seattle. There's never an issue with service, food or ambiance.
Professional, friendly and well informed service, excellent specials and menu and an amazing view of the Puget Sound.
This will always be my "return to" restaurant in Seattle.
We go to France a lot and I was feeling nostalgic, so we went here. The food was good. My salmon was overdone, and the ice cold crab on top did not work. I also had the liver salad. Also good, but the vinaigrette completely overwhelmed the salad. Husband had the rabbit roulette, also good, but the butternut squash was too heavy. It was good. Not $250 good.
What a wonderful meal! My family and I had a fantastic dinner here. I'm surprised how quiet and uncrowded Place Pigalle was. A hidden gem in the Pike Place market!
Spectacular food and views! Can't imagine visiting Seattle without a meal at Place Pigalle!
Always a fan of Place Pigalle. Been going here for 15 years and it never disappoints. Great space, food consistently good and service on point. Unfussy but nice enough for special occasions. This time we had the escargot, beet salad, halibut and chocolate pot de creme. Would order again and absolutely recommend.
