Has recently reopened after lockdown with new management and staff - standards of food , service and ambiance have been maintained- well done to the new team
Absolutely wonder evening. Drinks service amazing as ever and the food just delicious. Cannot wait to visit again for a few more martinis and scallops to dream of
Not brilliant - i love this place but the food keeps letting it down - Staff are great, food poor. The Beef and Ale pie was a disappointment, the veg at £4 were a joke and the chips.... well certainly not value for money - £75 for two, no booze - expensive and not value for money
Thank you for your feedback. We are continuously working on our menu and our chef thanks you for taking the time to review the food. As we work on the delivery of the Braised Beef & Guiness Pie, we would love to welcome you back so please do email kayleigh@pjschesleabrasserie if of interest and we hope this time, you will love the food. Kind regards, Team PJs Chelsea Brasserie
I thought it was a really nice place - shame the burger wasn't available, rather noisy but acceptable, very hot heating, the courses did not come at the right time, either too quick or too slow - but, overall, I like the atmosphere, the staff, the food etc. Was good value for money and I would defo go back. A solid 4 out of 5.
Hi Jack, Thank you for your review. We are so sorry to hear you were unable to order the burger. We cook all our ingredients from fresh daily and unfortunately due to the current circumstances of COVID, suppliers are not always able to meet demand on time. We are working closely with suppliers to make sure this does not happen again and we look forward to hosting you again soon so you can try our famous PJ's Burger. Kindest Regards, Team PJs Chelsea Brasserie
Great food, really attentive staff, cosy atmosphere.
Thank you very much for the kind words. We look forward to seeing you soon. Kindest regards, Team PJs Chelsea Brasserie
Food was ok but service ruined the night. Wrong Bill, bread came last after asking for it 3 times. Had to wait for the bill over 20 mins.
Thank you for your review. We have taken your feedback on board and will pass the feedback onto our team. When you come back, we hope you will see the continuous training will have sorted this issue. Kindest Regards, Team PJ's Chelsea Brasserie
The food was terrible
Fab food, relaxed ambience and great service. Can’t recommend enough
Dated place. Food very expensive and was almost home cooking standard
This is the best brunch place in Chelsea. It never disappoints me.
Great place, always enjoy brunch here. Food is lovely and so are the staff! Love it.
Great food, the fillet steak was especially good. Service was excellent. It was as usual a pleasure to dine at PJs.
Food and service very good.
Steak Tartare would benefit from more spice or at least served with Tabasco!
A really nice balance between lively and relaxing.
Great food, awesome ambience, wonderful attention from service staff despite a full house. Highly recommended place for all occasions!
Good value, food and service as always
It’s always so nice to have brunch at pj’s, I would go there every weekend!!!
Great service and a warm post work Friday atmosphere. Steak was high quality.
Lovely dinner, fabulous cocktail. Will definitely be going back
Cold food took over an hour to arrive and the bill was incorrect and had to be sent back. Would not recommend to anyone.
Fantastic food, with attentive staff and a great atmosphere has kept my coming back to PJ's. It is on the pricey side, but the portions are generous and the quality superb.
Unfortunately, one starter, beef carpaccio, and main meal, the steak, were not great.
We are regulars and love this place....never fails to disappoint1
Great atmosphere, location and the food is good. Service is friendly and prompt. Overall an enjoyable experience. I've been coming here for over 20 years and standards have always been good.
Wonderful as always. Great brunch and cocktails. Will be returning for New Years eve
Wonderful lunch for a family of 9. Would have given 5 stars as most of the food was delicious - but the chicken Kiev was dry and over cooked. Despite complaining no discount was offered for it. However everything else was delicious and apart from that one complaint service excellent . We will be back! Although clearly not ordering chicken Kiev!
PJ's always delivers and the atmosphere is good and always has been but the small round table for 5 is a bit too small and cosy otherwise everything was great.
Pretty good.
Athmosphere and food are very good . Some noise and the service a bit slow .
Good traditional food and love the location. Great spot for brunch with friends/family.
Not amazing service, sometimes a bit slow in understanding the needs or not keeping and eye on the table so then we had to look for them or ask more than once for something.
But overall it’s great, I would definitely recommend and come back!
PJs bar and grill was a beautiful restaurant. The candle lit atmosphere and music made us want to spend all night eating and drinking there. The food was delicious, one of the best steaks I've ever had and finished off with a gorgeous cheese board. Enjoyable atmosphere, and great value for money.
PJ's bar and grill has been here for decades and I remember in my youth meeting here for cocktails or brunch. Comfortingly, nothing much has changed. We had a decent lunch - burratina and calamari followed by an excellent burger and Seabass. What really stood out (or should I say who) was our waiter Fabio who was efficient, attentive and amusing to boot. Well done Fabio, you were fab!
Cosy, intimate atmosphere. Great service, exceptional food., amazing coxktails.Would definitely recommend.
PJs is an institution and it is a short walk down from Brompton Cross and other fine places like Bibendum and the Hour Glass pub (Independent with great beers and wines and now fine food) and Aubaine.. all of these super places a short walk from South Kensington Tube Station
The reality is that PJs evokes an era of the expansion of the London Bar and Restaurant scene as it was improving many years ago.... and in no way is this reliable local icon left behind.. The standards are as you would expect, not self indulgent but reliable and well thought through menu, great steak tartare, salmon etc ,, it is somewhere to enjoy arriving early and pausing at the Bar..sneaking in a honeyed chipolata before your companions arrive .. staff are delightful and thoughtful.. Service calmly classy.. they really look after you here with an assured and experienced yet modern peer level of borderline cheeky engagement.. you will enjoy it and that's the point!!!
Don't anticipate the elevated expectations of the epicurean gourmand, but equally this is way above high street. In many ways PJs showed the way years ago and it is definitely not time yet to don the garb and retire to bed,,. long may PJs continue to host in a way that means you can go regularly or sporadically and yet aye welcomed as if a special occasion every time.. Life is short and some of it can reasonably be spent here.. and if you cant get in do go up the road to the other hostelries,, great area
Reliable local with brassiere type food.
Bad service
I have been a regular customer at PJ's over the years but the most recent visit was disappointing. My guest and I ordered truffle pasta and there was, quite clearly, absolutely no trace of anything even remotely like truffle flavour. The price was £20 but there wasn't even any truffle oil on the pasta let alone a real shaving of truffle. There is no excuse for this. And at £20 a plate this must be the most profitable dish on the menu given that the cost of the ingredients - if you don't put any truffles in it - cannot be more than £2 a portion, if that. Very disappointing.
Mediocre food and below par service - we had to ask the server for our wine, sides - pretty much everything. We ordered the chateaubriand and the server brought two racks - I don’t know what went down in the kitchen but two orders were placed for two people, the server didn’t realise it was a meal to share! Overpriced for what it is - a shame as the ambiance is lovely. Could do much better.
Birthday lunch. We appreciated the free complimentary Prosecco.
Our waiter was charming and efficient however service was a bit slow between 1st and 2nd courses. Food was excellent
We had a corner window table which was draughty and a bit chilly. More draft proofing required especially in winter.
However a very enjoyable lunch
