Pisces Rising is a celebration of Florida cuisine located in beautiful Mount Dora. Established in 2003, the restaurant offers sweeping views of Lake Dora with multiple options for dining in the main dining room, semi-private, private, and outside areas of the establishment. Pisces Rising is a proud supporter of regional sustainability and utilizing fresh, local ingredients in culinary dishes first and foremost whenever possible. The scratch kitchen, referred to as the "Heart of the House", consists of a team of passionate Chefs who put their love and care into each dish. That passion stretches to the service team whose goal is to deliver the best hospitality delivered with warmth and grace.

    Unfortunately the risotto on one of our meals was overcooked and runny, coupled with that, the jumbo scallops were gritty. One meal was fine. Management rectified with a free crème brûlée. Service was good and ambience was great.

    Service was pleasant and attentive. Risotto was undercooked and so heavily salted I couldn’t eat it but scallops were good. Husband’s grouper was good but mashed potatoes also heavily salted and overly buttered.

    We have dined at Pisces on numerous occasions, consistently finding their quality and flavor profile to be excellent. Our server, Chris, provides exceptional service. Furthermore, their prime location offers a remarkable view of Lake Dora and the sunset. We look forward to our next visit.

    It was a good experience, not great. We were seated under an umbrella near the entrance. The views of the lake are limited. The service was good, needing a couple of second requests. The food was excellent. My wife had the grouper special. It was excellent but for $45, the asparagus was finely chopped into the rice. A few spears could have help. My shrimp and grits had a nice flavor. The 6 shrimp were large ( not jumbo). The andouille sausages were finely chopped, not sliced. Overall, it was a nice experience on a beautiful day.

    We initially had 16 but our party grew to 22 and they were able to quickly accommodate. Our server did an excellent job taking care of us even with how busy the restaurant was!

    The location has some of the best views and sunsets. Yasmin was our server and she was fantastic! We ordered the calamari fries to start and they were amazing. Loved our entrees and drinks and ended by sharing crème brûlée which was also delicious. We are definitely looking forward to dining there again in the future.

    The ambiance is more casual than business casual , great friendly atmosphere with a fair view of the lake. The food is amazing, my husband had the scallops with risotto and I had the salmon and coconut rice both tasted delicious and the presentation gave both dishes an excellent touch, the Creme Brulee was a wonderful finish touch to a great evening. Highly recommend it, we will definitely go back next time we visit Mount Dora.
