While a majority of the food is sourced locally, some ingredients such as the Spanish Cheeses and Jamon Iberico de Bellota (cured ham from the acorn fed Iberico pig) are frequently used to create the traditional dishes that have been made in Spain and Pais Vasco (Basque Country) for centuries.
The beverage menu features wine, liquor, beer and cider/cidra from Spain, additionally local wine and beer are also readily available and easily paired with Pintxo’s bold and flavorful food. Specializing in Spanish GinTonics and craft cocktails.
The dining room is large but intimate and features bar and table seating as well as Private Dining and a speakeasy style bar, Branchwater, located behind the restaurant.
Long wait for the paella, and the rice was undercooked. Our server was fantastic, and we liked the atmosphere. The paella was just a bit underwhelming.
We found ourselves arriving just before the massive thunder and lightening storm. We were seated at a table right next to the window, perfect to watch the incredible rain pour down and lightening flash by. It felt cozy, romantic and a little thrilled sitting there watching the light show. We hung at the bar for a few while out table was getting ready. The bartender was easy to connect with and made a El Madre drink for me. When we were seated, we enjoyed the seafood paella (to die for) and the chicken dish (double die for). Those two dishes were PLENTY to fill our appetites as we sips on some cocktails. While the hostess had this incredible energy about her, our waitress wasn't attentive at all and just blah all the way around. I give people the benefit of the doubt - bad day maybe? Kinda of disappointing, however it didn't bother us as much as it normally would because everything else was pristinely perfect. After dinner we headed next store (didn't even have to walk outside) to lounge attached and found the comfiest couch and took a seat for the next hours enjoy some bourbon and our favorite early 2000's hip hop & r&b music. Hadn't heard Coolie High for a minute. Overall, we have a super enjoyable evening!
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The Paella was amazing. Great value for two people too.
plates and wine were overpriced, waiter did not have good recommendations. liked the ambiance but would not take anyone back here, as the food was not good and service only a bit above average. Try another place for tapas and save your money.
My wife and I had friends visiting from Oregon. We wanted to share with them one of the best tapas places we have here in Seattle. Amanda and her husband had done wonders with Pintxo's over the years. This is a regular place my wife and I go. The menu is seasonal and changes. But if you like small dishes and want to try multiple things, this is a great place to eat and spend time with family and friends. Exceptional hand-crafted cocktails as well.
Outstanding Crepe dessert, Foie Gras brûlée, aioli, clams w/ chorizo sauce, mocktail, olives and crab toast. Calamari a bit disappointing-not crispy enough for me. Food arrived fast and service was friendly. Our extra bread arrived after we finished meal and we were charged $2 for it and didn’t touch it, but things happen:) Overall a great experience before Jazz Alley.
We took my sister there for a special occasion and it was perfect - we wanted food and ambiance that was delicious and felt special but not at an exorbitant price and we got that! The drinks were delicious and we loved everything we ordered, especially the seafood paella. We loved being in a high back booth as it felt private. Highly recommend!
The service and the food were impeccable! I will be back!
Excellent meal! On of the best places to dine in Seattle!!
Food was great. We got the marinated manchego, olive tapenade toast and the paella to split along with a couple GT cocktails. everything was wonderful! The manchego was the biggest surprise. Paella was a great twist on the classic -- not overly saffron-y, had some veggies in the rice, and the spices on the fish were awesome. It wasn't the traditional "get a pice of fish with every bite", rather heavy on the rice, light on the fish (5 shrimp, 5 mussels, 1 scallop, 1 piece of white fish).
The service here is second to none. But it’s the food that keeps me coming back.
Lots of great flavors up to the desserts which were disappointing. We had a group of 12 with a semi-private room with very good service throughout the night. I love the ambiance and the art in the space.
Excellent small plate choices and a solid wine list. Great whiskey bar in the back. Nice vibe. Great food and time.
Wonderful and friendly service. Great paella!
Good tapas place. Just be aware flavors tend to be overly sweet and try to balance it by adding pickled peppers.
Wasnt overly crowded and noise wasnt bad for a Friday night- great spot for tapas and conversation! The food was excellent and came out quickly. We mad dinner of it and tried al.ost half the menu plus two cocktails for a little over $100- very, very reasonable for downtown and good food. Staff was friendly and unpretentious. Ambiance is comfortable and decor is fun but mature and interesting (love the stained glass. Seating is great- very spacious and not crammed together to fit as many as possible like most spots. Food was modern and authentic Spanish- had comparable meals in Madrid. Will start going regularly!
Great food and drink. Had the cheese and potato omelette appetizers. Olive oil cake was different and good.
This last saturday, I had planned avery special birthday dinner for my husband and myself. Seeing as how I am from Spain, I thought it to be fun for him to experience a unique and beautiful Spanish meal out. I had notified the restaurant while making my reservation that it is a special occasion and to take a little extra care.
So upon arrival we were confused as to why they said I did not in fact have a reservation. Incorrect, ok. We are seated regardless at a table that seemed more like an after thought in the room. No candles? Nothing on the table? Interesting.
We ordered from a very stiff waiter, what I would have guessed would be at least good, authentic, and culturatly correct dinner.
The calamari appitizer came, something I ate often back home. What was served instead was a rubbery pile of caked batter on a plate.
Then the waiter brought us patatas bravas but I ordered instead bread with tomato. To be honest, it was clearly made long before it was served and the bread was so soft from being soaked in the juices, it was like baby food.
I could go on with "beautiful" descriptions of their food and service, but I think you get the idea.
We were very disappointed and a sad representation of food from my home.
2nd time visiting Pintxo. The wait staff is very good (prompt, polite, fun). The food is also quite good. The drinks are good, but, there is room for improvement. Overall, a very nice restaurant - - especially for date night. Enjoy!
No tenían varios platillos del menú y los que tenían no estaban buenos
Over priced for just ok paella and tapas.
The food was excellent bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese, mix of olives , Spanish ham and cheese croquettes shared was very good. Service was excellent
The place was not busy, waiters disappeared for a long period of time. Gone for over a half hour, by that point I just wanted to pay and get out of there. Ordered a few of the small plates and it was mediocre.
Good service. Friendly staff. Pretty much knew the menu and knew what dishes were great. Try the calamari and the scallops.
Just the place to dine over great food while talking about travels in Spain. Food was great, drinks were too, and the service was pleasant and prompt. Looking forward to visiting there again.
love this place, it was a goodbye dinner for my friend. they even gave her a piece of chocolate cake! thank you
Food wasn't bad. Sangria was so so. Nice place to hang out. Might come back again but in terms of tapas quality, its average/decent.
We went there on a Monday night so the atmosphere was probably more subdued than other nights. The food was excellent! It came out super hot and the timing was perfect! We ate all small plates and enjoyed every one. The only negative about the whole experience was the music. And it's not because we're "old", it was just odd and didn't fit the restaurant at all. I hope there's different music next time we go, because we will definitely go again!
EExcellent food I felt that I wasn’t I felt I was in Spain I would recommend it to anyone to go and enjoy this beautiful atmosphere and foo
Very good food. Excellent service and great location. Large menu selection for food and beverages. Would definitely recommend.
Honestly surprised by the food reviews of this place. We both thought it was bland, and nothing was that amazing. This has almost 5 stars, I thought I would be blown away by the food, but was left disappointed and asking myself how something so flavorless was getting such reviews. The couple next to us also was talking about how it lacked flavor. Super disappointed.
I'm not huge on writing reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience with my friends that use OpenTable. First let me state that if you've been to Spain, and spent time sampling the cuisine you're going to enjoy the food at Pintxo. If you've never sampled Spanish cuisine other than a Paella you're going to love the experience and the food. We were a bit reluctant to even try the restaurant after reading some of the reviews online, but regardless we decided to take the chance and I'm so glad that we did. This place will not disappoint. The food was flavorful and delicious. The service was awesome. I recommend it. We're definitely going back soon.
They have the pride celebration nailed!! Second year in a row celebrating there and can’t wait to do it again :)
Excellent food and service as usual. I love this place!!!
This "Pintxo" Restaurant would be out of business in the Basque region of Spain. The food lacks the fresh quality of real pintxos. Portions are very small even for pintxo. We had for example albondigas which had no discernible taste, calamari (which took a long time to shop up) fried beyond recognition and tasteless and two small-ish balls showing up as croqueta de jamon, likewise without much taste. The place is pricey for the quality of food it delivers. The only thing that worked were the pimientos de padron. There's better food in Seattle
I have to start by saying I love this place. I have been here twice for happy hour/dinner on Friday nights and it’s a good place to go with a date or with a group of friends. They also have a separate area for a group to reserve though I like sitting on the front side and people watch from the windows.
It’s a Spanish tapas place so lots of options with small plates. First time I tried clams and some sea food, cauliflower and beets. Second time, I went with mostly vegetarian friends and we ordered practically every vegetarian small plate on the menu and went for second son some such as potatoes and cauliflower. Their drinks are good and I especially like their Sangria with fresh fruits.
We also ordered every dessert on the menu and if I had space , would have ordered second rounds of all ;).... yeah that good!
The ambience of the place is lovely too with nice paintings and lighting.
This has definitely made it to one of my top favorites in Seattle and I will be visiting again soon.
Food and service was amazing! And the Seafood Paella was delicious!!
Love the atmosphere, the small plates are creative and super tasty. Loved that the bartender made us custom craft cocktails he thought we would like, and we loved them!
Good and ambiance was perfect
