Really enjoyable Sunday lunch with close friends and family.
Interesting decor, with lots of attention to detail. Although quite dense with 'rustic' dark timber joinery and features, the gentle lighting and open feel from the perimeter windows provides a lovely ambiance.
The food was excellent across all courses; gorgeous, melt in your mouth beef carpaccio, homemade pate (including a few shavings of amazing lardo (not 'lard')), a full flavoured plate of fregola with prawns and asparagus and a cleansing, white chocolate semifreddo with rhubarb and chocolate shavings were all great.
Capped off with a super refreshing amaro from the Italian Alps, you couldn't really ask for more.
creative, delicious italian. cosy atmosphere. super friendly staff, amazing wine list. a beautiful neighborhood restaurant. will be heading back to Pino’s for sure.
Ticked all the boxes for me. From the moment the doors opened i felt comfortable. Great food, great fitout and the waiters new the menu inside and out. Highly recommend.
We ordered 3 entrees plus bread and olives to share between 8 people, and they bought out 3x each of the dishes. We had to tell them to take the extra dishes back (it was a ridiculous amount of food). The staff where then quite rude and it just made things quite uncomfortable. The mains were not great, pasta undercooked and other dishes bland. The wine was great, the atmosphere really good, exactly the type of place we wanted for my husbands birthday. The service and food just let it down.
Highly recommend Pino's Vino e Cucina we were in Sydney prior to leaving for our holiday to Vietnam. We did a random google of resturants in the area we were staying and were fortunate enough to get a booking at Pino's Vino e Cucina everything was perfect.
Great start to our holiday hadn't left the country but already living it up.
Fantastic food, service was wonderful and really nice ambience.
Gorgeous food - it was unpretentious with simple dishes served with care and beautiful produce. Perfect for a date or catch up with friends - loved the easygoing, cosy atmosphere. I'm definitely going back!
Great food, really friendly staff! Will go back for sure.
The food was only out done by the service. Matteo (owner and chef) was authentic, attentive, knowledgeable and an all round great person. It was like going around to a friends house for dinner...But this friend is an amazing cook!
This restaurant is run with passion, warmth and sincerity - these qualities are reflected in the delicious food, the charming service, the lovely ambience. I cannot recommend Matteo and his team strongly enough!
Delicious food, great service, awesome cocktails!!
Literally a neighbourhood gem - great food, wine and atmosphere.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Pinos. The food and service was excellent and the atmosphere lovely. I wouldn’t recommended sitting at the bar though if you intend to stay for a while as the stools get uncomfortable and the air conditioning is cold in that area. Our waiter kindly moved us to a table as one was available on the night we were there. I can’t wait to go back again.
The restaurant is a great find in the middle of Alexandria, the ambiance and overall feel of the venue was great.
The menu looked very promising with a traditional Italian menu. The wine selection was amazing and great for wine lovers.
The entree was fantastic (their burrata special) however my main was a bit too salty. My friends however have any issues with their mains. Overall, the service was too slow which was a let down to what could be a really great restaurant.
Lovely ambience, food, wine with friendly and knowlegable staff. A ‘neighbourhood jem’...Easy to recommended...
We had been meaning to go to Pino's for a while and used the occasion of friends visiting from New Zealand. We couldn't have chosen better! Pino's was intimate enough for us to have great conversational catch up, the service was brilliant with wonderful food and wine recommendations, and the food itself was divine. I had oysters with watermelon and cab sav sorbet - loved it, the duck breast which was delicious and presented wonderfully, and I couldn't resist dessert just because I was having such a good time. My friends all raved about their meals as well - so I can't be smug that I made the best choices. We all loved it!
Warm, friendly atmosphere, and splendid food. Always a treat.
Nothing out of the ordinary. Mozzarella was clearly frozen beforehand, as was the prosciutto, and the portions weren't Italian! Overall, way too expensive and service was amateur.
Everything was great, from booking the table, the service is great and food exceptional. Great vibe at all the tables, the customers look relaxed and happ.
Love this gem of a restaurant. The staff are so professional and the food is not your typical Italian . The menu is creative and the food is very delicious, with a good wine list .
We thoroughly enjoyed our night at Pino’s. Amazing service, food and wine. Highly recommend.
The food was delicious and the service was great. Will definitely be going back soon for more
As our Uber approached, the driver said 'ooooh, romantic'. He was on point. Huge wood panel door entrance — dark, candle lit, handsome Italian staff, very date flavoured with excellent food to match the special occasion vibe. Get the tornorello pasta with vongole.
An amazing, cosy, little gem within the city fringe. Staff were accomodating, attentive and knowledgeable. Not to mention their great wine selection.
Grazie to Mateo and team.
Awesome place with great inerior design. Food was outstanding and wine from Sardinia was just magical.
GREAT service. Ordinary food. Pastas were meh, entrees were meh, wine was great (but pricey).
Great food and service from the Italian dude behind the bar...shame about the annoying and loud locals next to us.
Amazing food. Great wine. Horrible service. Inattentive. Bordering on rude.
A lovely ambience the evening we visited. Food and service excellent. Definitely will go again.
The service was very good but the food not up to expectations.
We were immediately greeted and jackets taken which was a nice gesture. The wait staff were quite attentive and friendly yet professional.
The wine selection was quite varied and very suitable.
Entrees were satisfactory; the mussel dish was good but the pate dish didn't wow me - for example the pate itself lacked intensity.
Mains were also satisfactory at best - the risotto was tasty but the pork belly was disappointingly very dry.
Overall the experience was good but a shame that the food didn't meet our expectations.
The food was excellent and the ambiance is good would definitely go again.
New favourite - incredible food and excellent friendly and genuine service. Highly recommended.
Lovely little restaurant, close by and we will definitely be coming back. Limited menu by VERY tasty!
The food and service at Pino’s Vino e Cucina was exceptional. The venue was moody and intimate and recommended for a romantic dinner.
This little gem offers great ambience with a cosy setting. The cuisine resonates fine Italian notes and modern elements, combined with locally sourced produce, making Pino's Vino e Cucina the perfect place to experience fine Italian culinary delights accompanied with a complementing wine selection.
Had a great experience.
Friendly staff who were willing to advise and share the knowledge of the food wine and other drinks
Ambience was very nice.
Loved the wine we had from Sardinia.
This is the third time I have been and the food is consistently outstanding. The friendly staff make you feel like you are being served in their own home and the ambience is fantastic.
I tripped across Pino's purely by chance and couldn't be more pleased that I did. I hosted an intimate dinner with close girlfriends for my 35th birthday. The booking process was very streamlined and the team were very accommodating when small changes needed to be made. My friends were extremely impressed upon entry and were excited to enjoy the wine, food and overall experience. I look forward to returning again and truly pacing myself through the meal and the moment. You know what lovely ladies on lovely bottles of wine can be like!
Really cute little spot. Great cocktails. Food was creative, tasty and presented well. Service was genuine and non-intrusive. A really good local spot.
Pino's is the perfect neighbourhood bar - it offers the residents of Alexandria (and those willing to travel) a carefully crafted experience with the focus on outstanding service. Everyone is greeted as a local and for those fortunate enough to live in the kind of proximity that allows a regular drop-in, the staff have a knack for encouraging those return visits with their generosity and palpable desire to please. It's always the same staff too and that fosters a strong sense of community. Just do yourself a favour and book a seat at the bar and let the Davide and Antonello do their thing. You won't be sorry.
