Bottomless Gin & Tapas - $59pp (2 hours)
Multiple dates available
For two hours you can enjoy non-stop gin and tonic goblets, made with our favourite Australian gins, plus mouthwatering shared tapas. 1 drink permitted per person at any one time. All bookings are placed outdoors and undercover.
We competed the gin and tapas experience. Generous serves, a wide variety of Australian gin and the food was good. We had a great time.
We booked the 2 hour G&T and tapas session and overall were very impressed with the value for money, good quality food and good drinks. Unfortunately there was a mix-up with our first round of drinks (they were sent to the wrong table) meaning that we were waiting ~25 minutes to get our first drinks, meaning we wouldn’t have much time in the allocated time slot for more drinks. The staff were very apologetic and organised another table for us after our initial booking, so that we could have another round of drinks on top of the usual 5 rounds included in the package. I thought this was very good of them, a generous gesture that kept us all happy - and we ended up staying for several more hours because we were enjoying the cocktails so much.
The food was good quality and also plentiful in this 2 hour session.
Pilgrim has a nice situation by the riverside and I’m sure would be fantastic on a fine sunny day with the side windows rolled up and a fresh breeze blowing through (was a bit overcast and rainy during our visit).
Great value for your money highly recommend Gin & Tapas! Staff were sensational and special mention to Craig! Extremely helpful and accommodating!
We had a booking for the Bottomless Gin. What a great day we had. Gin was spectacular, food was awesome, and the staff were friendly and efficient.
Highly recommended
Really good night, great food and gin cocktails. Will be back in future
Overall good experience the staffs
Are very attentive to my friends dietary needs
I booked the bottomless gin & tapas for 4 people for my birthday because it was good value for money, the location is great and I love gin. I included dietary requirements in our booking when I made it (a week prior to the date) as we had gluten free, vegan and non-alcoholic requirements within our party. The Pilgrim Bar website states that the non-alcoholic session is $10 cheaper and that they cater to dietary requirements, so it was reasonably expected that this would not be an issue.
I was disappointed that when I brought up the requested requirements on arrival, the waitress had no knowledge of it and seemed a bit flustered by it. We were told that the vegan requirements could be ordered off the menu since it wasn't being catered for as the tapas menu was a set menu, but the gluten free request was able to be catered for.
We were also mistakenly charged full price for the 1 non-alcoholic package, but the staff were kind enough to let us order another dish off the menu in lieu of a refund (at our request). The waitress also didn't explain to us how the bottomless gin package worked or confirm ask about any requests when seated which would have avoided any confusion and disappointment.
Despite the confusion, we had a good time and I would recommend this bar because the food is good and the gin selection is decent. I also appreciated that we weren't pushed to leave when our 2 hour seating ended. However, I'd recommend staff consider contacting bookings with complicated requirements prior to the day to gain a better understanding of what adjustments can be made or what limited options they have; as well as asking customers on arrival if there's any requirements.
I don't know if this was an error with booking system not relaying the requests to the venue or the staff not reading the booking and preparing accordingly, but as someone with a background in hospitality, I know that mistakes are usually just a result of miscommunication.
Such a great deal! $59 for two hours of cocktails is awesome. The bar is right on the Yarra but much more low key and less hectic than some of its neighbours.
Staff were all so friendly and accommodating.
We were seated right by the water for our Gin and Tapas lunch, which was fantastic ! Our waitress was very friendly and we were served everything very promptly. Would definitely recommend Pilgram Bar.
Gin and Tapas package was delicious and great value for money. Recommend
Great location, good service
Poor customer service. We waited a few minutes for the waitress to notice us next to the waiting sign. When the waitress walked up to us she did not say hello or ask us how we were-instead she said “do you have a booking?” with a sharp tone. Throughout the whole night the waitress never smiled. The food was very average-very small serving sizes. The waitress was very slow at bringing the next drink. Told us we were unlikely to drink all of the 5 gins throughout the 2hr sitting. Disappointing.
Not a place to eat. Nice if you want drinks.
Close to the river, nice view
Staff not very attentive, some even rude
Great value (bottomless Gin and Tapas)
Definitely will return
Great day with bottomless tapas and gin
Only criticism if is bottomless it should be bottomless
The boys could of done with more food but food was fab
Great venue, great value and will be back.
We did the gin tasting and recommend havign the tonics on the side.
Great location and vibe but the wedges were overly priced
Great atmosphere, food and table service. Hosting was somewhat rude upon entry.
First time at Pilgrim Bar, it was quite average - However, it was really nice to be outside overlooking the water. The food options are a bit limited, so it's probably a better spot for drinks only. One thing that could have made them stand out would be the service, whih we found quite average/dismissive to our questions on the day. Now that there are more options to choose from in the same area, there wasn't anything outstanding that would make me choose Pilgrim over Riverland Bar, Arbory Afloat etc.
Great service, great value. We had a great time. Thx everyone!
Wasn’t expecting good quality gins, would have preferred less tonic so we can savour and taste more of the gin. Good tapas and gin selection. Highly recommend
We had a fantastic experience at the Pilgrim Bar with the 'bottomless gin' and tapas for two hours night. The gins were interesting and varied and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The only drawback was that as the bar staff were very busy, we sometimes had big delays with progressing through the gins, however the staff allowed us to stay back after the two hour limit so we could try the last couple of gins we'd missed. A fantastic night and I know all of my friends at our table really enjoyed it too.
Really enjoyable tapas and gin combo for lunch. Excellent value for money. Brilliant staff, delicious food and yummy gins to sip beside the Yarra.
Just two things. 1. I have noticed with absolutely every restaurant and bar we have been to since reopening is that while we understand everything is order and pay electronically ( which we think is great) we still feel service could be better ( as good as it used to)
We have noticed that you only see staff when you order something, and then not again after that. Before COVID staff used to come around and ask how everything is after serving drinks and meals, the fact that we pay electronically shouldn't stop this from still happening? What if we need something between each of the serves, such as more napkins? It means we have to wait till we order something else? very had when its busy and cant get eye contact with staff, and when you don't want to be the person who is up and walking around making other patron uncomfortable. 2. All your cocktails runout by 3pm? we only had two to choose from or we would have ordered more drinks. Other than that your food has improved big time and the spot is lovely as always!
Staff didn't really give it much effort. Had to wait 20 minutes for our first drink, when we only have 2 hours it really wasn't acceptable, especially when we told them we had cancelled drinks at the venue next door to be at Pilgrim on time. Staff didn't give their all but the food was lovely and the gin was good.
We had a really wonderful night out at Pilgrim. I was skeptical about the bottomless g&t and tapas but we were very pleasantly surprised. The different gins were plentiful and delicious, as were the tapas. The staff were attentive and polite, making it a really memorable evening. Highly recommend!
The bottomless deal was a great selection, however it was a set menu spread out within the 2hr session so we couldn’t continue ordering
Great food and drinks (we did the bottomless deal) however we were still hungry after and they wouldn’t allow us to order any more food afterwards and it’s more of a set menu than bottomless. Still a great option but I don’t think what it is advertised as is super clear.
Location makes it worth going
But the fact that they don't accept cash at all and you have to scan for the menu and order from your phone takes away the service
Foods nice enough for share plates
The food and gin were delicious and beautifully presented. The $65 bottomless brunch was definitely worth it.
Excellent service and cocktails. Beautiful setting.
Great place which is absolutely Covid ready- easy no contact ordering and ability for friends to catch up safely, all while maintaining ambiance
This was my first visit to the rebranded Juniperlooza bar formally known as Pilgram. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the onsite manager. Given the current restrictions, we felt very safe with tables distanced from other guests and lots of sanitiser available at key points.
We decided to have the bottomless gin and tapas menu - it’s excellent value with varied selection of drinks and food available. Service is nicely paced, the team do check in on you and ask if you’re ready for the next gin - is so easy to get distracted in conversation or lost in the beautiful view - you know the real focus should be the excellent gin selection. The staff are hugely knowledgeable on food and drinks, giving you a detailed description as items arrive. It’s the service you expect at hatted restaurant.
Sadly we didn’t want to leave but because of the current restrictions we had too. We’ve made plans to return again with new friends in tow. Highly recommended.
I booked for the gin and tapas bottomless deal - it was great! We were enjoying the food so much we didn't get through as many drinks as we planned. It would've been a 11/10 if it was sunny and less windy. But still 10/10. All the girls loved it.
Food options are limited. Maybe because it just opened. However, beer and chips are enough to enjoy the place.
Food, drinks and staff were fantastic. Communication was easy when booking the area. This was a leaving do but if I wasn’t leaving my next gathering would be there!
A wonderful afternoon spent sipping gin cocktails and nibbling on delicious food
The food quality was excellent the drinks made from quality spirits and mixers and the service was perfect - highly recommended

Loved the bottomless gin and tapas! Great cocktails that were beautifully presented and the food was fabulous. Perfect portions and a very steady of flow of both to suit our needs for the two hours we were there. Great value for money. I would highly recommend it!
Thanks for the great feedback Shelley - delighted to hear you enjoyed!
Pilgrim is a beautiful location for afternoon drinks and tapas. The Brie is to die for. I would recommend booking if you want a table with a view!
