Great views. Odd rules around mocktails, ordering entrees and appetizers. Food was delicious though.
Service poor, had to ask for drinks, waiter dropped leftovers on my husband’s trousers and didn’t even apologise. Scallops were over cooked and Calamari so salty that the 3 of us couldn’t finish it and tough as overcooked
John Dory over cooked and dry
Seafood Linguine pasta stuck together, unimpressed but palate still trying to recover from the salty calamari
Lamb was OK
Fish and chips Ok
Difficult to recommend to others and disappointed after looking forward to lunch there
Staff were not wearing face masks . Tables packed in together, and while trying to be formal dining it was extremely loud inside. We asked to sit outside but were told they wanted to close the area as soon as possible, even though there were numerous tables seated out there that had not yet eaten. Food was disappointing for the price paid.
Terrible service, food average and over priced. Would not go back.
Great night and yummy dinner too - beautiful view across water
What I remember as The Anchorage feels more like an overpriced bistro these days, although I know the rent must be astronomical. We were encouraged to order early, which suited us, but then were let down by the waiting staff. We ordered a dozen oysters to share (at $49) but once we'd finished them, we watched other tables receive complementary bread before their mains – when we didn't receive it initially, we mistakenly thought it had to be ordered and didn't ask. The mains appeared in a timely way and the food was brilliant. I suppose I'm surprised to see other parents there with their children occupied by iPads: I would never bring my children to Pier Farm, only because I was so lucky as to have been taken to The Anchorage by my parents when I was about 12 or so, and remembering what an occasion it was built up to be. Different generations – different restaurants. Thanks for a memorable night.
The food and drinks were lovely it’s a beautiful spot right on the pier overlooking the boats. I did find the price of meals were a little expensive but it was food was very nice.
Lovely food and spot on the water. Some service was a little shaky....but understandable coming out of lock-down.
Greeting at front of house needs improvement.....staff presentation a little poor.
Everything perfectly excellent for upscale Italian styled restaurant. With great ambience and seaside views. Would like a few Italian wine options over and above pinot gris/grigio.
The waiting staff were outstanding and a view to die for!
However the food was nice but didn't seem to be as special as our previous visits.
Lovely setting but very pricey for quality of food. We didn’t see any of the service staff wearing their masks properly or even trying to-most of them had them around their chin & the person at front of house register didn’t even bother wearing one at all - didn’t give the feeling that they cared about their customers.
We had a fantastic time and experience
Will be regulars
This would have to be on the top of the list for one of our favorite restaurant
The scallops were amazing, the food and service were exceptional
beautiful atmosphere and views. The staff were spot on for service.
Great bottle of wine and George was an awesome waiter. Ambience was excellent.
We had our wedding reception here and it was just as lovely to return to for our first year anniversary celebrations. We'll continue to come back and make memories hear over the years of course whilst enjoying amazing food and the amazing views.
Overpriced. Trying to be fine dining but not. Poor ambience.
Arrived 12pm for lunch, staff vey attentive with drinks served quickly and cold, had entrees to share very good, 3 mains of John Dory and one fish and chips (flathead) all very good, will return again.
The service was great and staff friendly and helpful. The food was ok but expensive. A table of 4 and the bill came to over $550. We asked if we could finish our drinks on the deck we were told no they were closing the deck for the night. The lights were dimmed around 9.30. At 9.45 the proprietor came and announced to us and a table of 5 women they were closing and we had to leave and as he turned to leave said something like and i mean now. Both us and the women from the other table couldnt believe how rude he was. We had gone there to support local business but wont be returning. We will spend our money somewhere else.
The Lunch was excellent, entrees and mains terrific, the desert not so good.
The wine was good but a shame there was no Australian sparkling.
Great food , a little pricey I thought for FOD , but price isn't an issue to us when the food and service is this good
Can't wait to go back .
Lovely atmosphere, quiet and relaxed, beautiful views. Welcome and attentive service. Food very good quality and reasonable price. Good variety of choices; something for everyone. Outstanding wine list.
Delicious food, lovely service, thanks for a lovely experience!
Lovely atomoshpere outside on a warm summers night!
Fish and chips were boring. No seasoning on chips.
Duck was delicious, the corn puree served with it was very salty.
My whiskey sour was too strong! Tasted like shots.
King fish did not taste fresh and there wasn't much flavours around it. Just plain.
Venue, view and location is superb otherwise
Consistently great. Not cheap but good value for money. Exceptional service and ambience. Delicious food and great wine list.
Lovely food, great friendly service and beautiful location.
Love the atmosphere, friendly staff. Food prices are expensive and not great value for money.
Pier farm is a great place to eat! Food incredible and the staff are lovely.
Amazing food! Service! View!!! Best night out since lockdown for the year!
Great food and service. Lovely setting at the mouth of the Yarra River
The location is amazing!
Food was good, small portions
Service was average - senior staff were rude, junior staff were lovely but maybe a bit out of practice
The male waiter was quite obnoxious. He did not appear service orientated
Service excellent just the good level of checking on, as usual, new menu also of high standard, seafood provided excellent value. Excellent cocktail mix. Meet COVID19 requirement but staff need to be reminded to ware masks appropriately.
We had a lovely lunch at Pier Farm on Tuesday overlooking the water. We were pleased to be sitting inside as it was very hot outside. Interacted with multiple members of staff who were all incredibly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed cocktails, bread, calamari, seafood linguine and wine. A fantastic lunch experience.
Stunning restaurant with a view to die for. The food was lovely, but the service needs to improve (note for the owners). We were seated and not much service after that - easy to fix. An excellent option in Williamstown
Excellent food, great location and fantastic service.
Wonderful experience and very accommodating for our 1 year old
Great venue, however food was not in the price bracket, it was a pub meal in my view. Wait staff were excellent, however management seemed uninterested. Understand this is post COVID lockdown, but expected a lot more!
Great food and Service, would high recommend to friends and Family
We had a lovely night - great food and one of the best views in our city
