Charming restaurant in a scenic location. Nice menu, and wine list. Friendly competent service. Enjoyed our meal there.
Food, service, views amazing
Even though there was a function next door, it did not impact on our experience
Great location and views. Service was good, but food didn’t really deliver value - it tasted quite nice, but not amazing - which for the price was a little disappointing.
Excellent service and ambience, food was great, only the Broccoli was served cold
Beautiful spot on the water, lovely restaurant, good service, good menu, lovely wine
Great food, had the specials, excellent great outlook and service
We revisited as part of the Food and Wine festival and so happy we chose this venue. The two course option with a glass of wine was excellent. Both our entree and mains were delicious, we were quite impressed as we had expected small servings. We will definately be returning.
The staff were great the food was amazing, this place is the best restaurant i have ever been to, the food was perfect and couldn't be better, i highly recommend the Pier Farm!
The disappointment was being seated in a near empty restaurant really close to a table of two whom insisted on talking loudly about very personal subjects on their mobile/s. It really killed the lunch for us.
Should have moved us to the middle of the restaurant. Food was very good, service excellent.
Perfect, friendly and efficient service. Wonderful setting overlooking the water. Delicious food. Highly recommended. Particularly for a first date 😊
The only criticism was the good
Not very good standard
Yes - recommended for the food, service and ambiance - location.
No - not so good for serving size and pricing.
We dine out a lot and I suggest that the food was good quality but was lacking in quantity. Kids fish and chips was $20, sides for mains were way over priced - $11 for a very small bowl of packet chips, $12 for fried sweet potato chips and $12 for a small garden salad. All of the sides were tiny. We also had steaks ($44.50 to $49 each -steak only no sides), fish of the day was a grilled stuffed Whiting for $48. We brought along our own birthday cake and they charged us $25.
Long and short of it, I'd be OK to return for the mains and service, but be prepared to pay top $$. For us, there are better options in Williamstown. cheers
Expensive with small servings, but the food was tasty, the service was 10/10 and the restaurant is stunning
I have been here numerous times and keep coming back. Absolutely wonderful restaurant!
Second time going there, great food, thoughtful staff. Clear stand out
The food was amazing and the service was impeccable
The service was excellent , the food was superb, the ambiance was fabulous, will definitely go back again
Food was too expensive for what you get, The entree was a complete flop, tables too close together , I had the waiters backside in my face each time he serviced the adjacent table, the waiter also had very bad breath . Waiters ran between the tables, creating an air of " hurry up" breaking the mood.
Beautiful restaurant with great service and even greater views! The food is always good and the service is great.
Great place with amazing food and view of the marina and city.
We had a very special birthday dinner here on a Saturday night. The location, decor, food and seevice were all first class. Worth the price for an important occasion.
We have been going to what was the Anchorage and now Pier farm for years. Its always been expensive however since it has changed hands and this visit especially, the value just isn't there. With entrees up near $30 and mains close to $50, I expect great service to complement the experience.
On Saturday night, we had to ask for the wine list again when our main meals were served... we then had to spend time trying to get a waiters attention to order that wine to have with our main meals.... ! When the wine came, the old glasses and empty wine bottle from our previous course were left on the table, we weren't asked if we wanted more water - our bread and butter plates werte left etc etc etc. Needless to say, the table was very crowded! When we finished eating, we sat with dirty dishes on the table for over 20 minutes. Dessert was offered, but no tea or coffee. Again, dessert came out and we still had old wines bottles and glasses on the table!
Our bill for 3 people was well over $400 - did i feel that i had received the service and attention for a $400 meal? Simply, no. Was the food memorable at $50 a plate? Again, no.
Sory Pier farm - there are too many good restaurants in Melbourne to put up with mediocrity.
Possibly the most scenic restaurant in Melbourne, absolutely delightful experience. The food was delicious, and a glass of Veuve to start the meal was superb (without having to buy a whole bottle!). Very friendly staff, made to feel comfortable and relaxed, with a splash of elegance - no paper napkins here! My only suggestion for improvement is for the staff to be more attentive for a glass refill during the meal - a top class waiter should have eyes always looking around for that that empty glass. Overall though, this restaurant is a "must" on your bucket list!
Nice view, but that is all we could say positively about this place. Service very unprofessional. Food probably on a par with average pub. Definitely not fine dining.
Recently we had dinner here on our anniversary. Lovely spot near the water & great ambience too. Food was nice but nothing to write home about! Found it pricey too.
Enjoyed a late lunch recently with my husband. Great location by marina, excellent food, good wine, friendly service and reasonably priced. Purchased a voucher as a gift for my son and his wife so they too can enjoy the experience.
The Venue is beautiful and staff were excellent but unfortunately the food let your restaurant down it wasn't worth the money I paid . My partner and I had pasta which was undercooked and for a main course I was served up 9 small ravioli for a main course for $33 . My friend had the duck which was dry . The chef must of had a bad day
Beautiful view of the bay, friendly service tasty food
I was just too expensive for what you got.
The food is good but not for the price you paid.
The atmosphere and setting of this restaurant has always been great (formerly The Anchorage Restaurant) and the new paint work has certainly brightened up the place. The food has always been exceptional, however I must admit that the portions are minimal. During my recent visit I ordered Lamb Shoulder and was expecting more than just a 4" x 2" piece of lamb, half of which was fat which I could not eat. I didn't say anything at the time because i was with a group and didn't want to make a fuss, but for the price of the plate - I think the chef should look at the piece of meat before serving it. I'm not saying the food was not tasty, because it was, but the portion size is just ridiculous!
Great views. Food was a little disappointing for the price.
Wonderful service, excellent steak and spectacular views
We had a family dinner with eight persons all with varying orders for food and wine. The staff were very patient and attentive and the food was excellent.
The menu was varied and the quality of the food and it's presentation were both very good. We were a group if 6 and all were happy with the meals and service
We have been to this place under its old name several times and now twice under the new name, last time was just after the name change. It has always been quite expensive but was ok because the food was good value with ample servings. Sadly things are not the same although the wine list is still quite good but also a little above the good restaurant price. We were a little concerned when we walked in as it is usually at least half full for lunch any day of the week, but this was close to Christmas and there were only people at 2 tables including us. The last straw was on paying the bill I was charged a surcharge for using a credit card and the waiter blamed the bank, but it was the restaurant making me pay their banking costs nothing to do with the bank - Another regular eatery never to be visited again despite the excellent location.
Been there twice in 14 days first experience on a weekend was very good second experience on a weeknight was terrible. The difference was the food quality from the first to the second visit clearly must have been a chef roster change. I wont be back given the variance in standard.
There were five in our party, we all ordered seafood and everyone said their meals were excellent. The service was good, the seating allowed great views across the water, the wine list easy on the palate and wallet. Negative was the cutlery; very heavy handles took a little getting used to, but hardly a gripe, OK? Great value for money! Will go back, for sure.
Excellent service, great view and lovely interior. Good menu selection, lovely food. Beautiful desserts.
Back ground music is required. Lovely service and food.
Restaurant has moved from earlier emphasis on seafood but they have struck a balance of very good offerings across the menu. All at the table were pleased. Prices higher than some but good value. Will return.
